Loved this book

This is the first review I have ever written despite buying hundred of kindle books but I am compelled to. I loved this book. The pain and despair felt by Adrian who felt that his life was over because of his blindness was palpable. I think that it is understandable why he would have felt less than a man in the circumstances and why his inability to deal with his disability would have brought him to his knees causing him to desert his wife and place himself in danger with his drinking and forays into the seedier parts of London. Emily showed great strength and strong character in helping him see that he could be more than he was and that life was not over because he was blind. Her method was a little unorthrodox but achieved the desired outcome in the end. Just what every man needs .......a strong woman who can motivate you to be better than you are. A great read.

It was pretty good

More like a 3.5 . The writing was good. The premise a little different. The secondary story that feed into the next book was not as strong or obvious to me. I actually started with the third book and read this one last, but they were written well enough that you could read them out of order and not be at a major loss.

Which scene was your favorite?

Hard to pick just one because what I liked is that there are so many and they each give a different take on sex. Some are sweet and tender, about long-term couples, and some are just plain filthy. They were perfect to listen to with my partner and get turned on together.

Sexy and surprising

Would you listen to Gotta Have It: 69 Stories of Sudden Sex again? Why?

Yes, because these are so much fun. The first time they were full of surprises because I didn't know what would happen next. My husband and I loved getting a glimpse into all these couples. Listening had us whispering to each other and discussing our favorites. Great for getting you in the mood and listening with a partner. I discovered a lot of other erotica by the same narrator through this too.

Very high. These were sexy and didn't require a long time commitment, plus I adore Rose's voice, which I know from her podcasts and could listen to any time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Probably Hot Buns on a Sunday Afternoon. I mean, who can resist that yummy combination? And Eat Me, about a hamburger that spurs a pregnant woman into being very flagrant and daring. After Ten Years got to me because it's so tender and such a loving portrait.

Have you listened to any of Rose Caraways other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've also listened to her recording of The Big Book of Orgasms; both are excellent.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't know if I'd say I had an extreme reaction but I appreciated that there was humor mixed in with the sexier parts.

Any additional comments?

There's 69 stories, which means some will likely appeal to you more than others but that's exactly what I most appreciated. There was so much variety in types of storytelling and characters and I found myself breathless with some of them, and since they're short, I've listened to my favorites again and again.

I've always loved this author, and this series, and once again I wasn't let down, you MUST give it a try, although it certainly won't be for everyone and definitely not for the faint hearted

an ok read

To much anal sex for my taste. Not clear on why this is needed. I read it bef6years ago, it didn't leave an impression. I read it this time and it sounded foreign to me.

The narrator was easy to understand, the story is interesting. An amazing fantasy explained in great detail. My husband even listened for a while!

Was Captivated The Entire Time

I enjoyed the story as much as the first book. Definitely enjoyed the voices done by both narrators. Listened straight through for 8 hours I was so enthralled.

Would you try another book from Anne Rice and/or Samantha Prescott and Corbin Steele ?

I would definitely (and certainly have) listen to/read anything by Anne Rice. When I was younger I thought her writing rather stilted, but as an adult, I very much appreciate her fluid writing style! This book, along with its predecessor and sequel, is wonderful: inventive, thought provoking, engaging. Not so much the narrators though. They do their best, I believe (and hope), but it really does fall flat. Thank goodness I've actually read these books before and didn't go through them for the first time with these audiobooks.

What did you like best about this story?

In the Sleeping Beauty novels, I find the most charm coming from the interaction of the characters. Remove the copious amounts of sex and there are psychological wonders here in their interactions with one another. There is something compelling about having so many extraneous elements to life stripped away, leaving only this one thing that these characters all have to build their existences around.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

In my mind, I always imagined the Sleeping Beauty novels to be in need of some sort of European accent, at least British, yet Samantha Prescott and Corbin Steele are as American as it comes (except for the one random character of the auctioneer she played with a cockney accent). Characters come from different countries and need distinction to capture the exotic feeling Ms. Rice has written so masterfully. Clearly from the narrative they are using English currency, why then the rather uninflected American accents? And obviously, these two narrators did not ever meet up to discuss how to make things cohesive. Case in point: the character, Prince Laurant. This is a french name.

Beauty Book 3

I loved the book. Anne Rice did an excellent job with writing this book, keeping with Beauty's journey and she was excellent with being so descriptive, making you feel like you were part of the story.

Not what I was expecting.

THE series has alot of sex, bondage, and great aspects, but I feel the story line didnt bring me in and make me feel like I was there.bi have listened to many books that have had me squeeze my thighs and squirming in my seat wanting to get the hubby home ASAP. This series did not do that even a little.

The male reading was extremely cringy.

The constant mispronunciations and horrible voices used for different characters made listening horrendous. Just horrible!

A True Erotic Thriller

I love noire she is a lyrical author who weaves tales so explicit that her name is branded in the words. I love how Nicole Small's narrates this tale that noire spits. Juicy is the character in this story and you won't forget the way she is betrayed as a young naive lady that is picked by one of the biggest players in the game this detail makes her story a classic. The life she lives thereafter, will have you trapped by the words and wanting to know what will happen next. Noire is a very RAW uncut author who paints pictures by her words. This book is for more experienced readers who can handle the street aspect and for people un afraid of explcit content because there is definately a lot of RAW material in these words. I have read other Noire books like Candylicker and thugalicious and I think this is my fave thus far. Enjoy this reader and let it take you back into your mind so you can picture this story as a movie.

I am a Zane fanatic but omg this book took me for a. Emotional ride tears laughter and utter fear!! I felt I was there watching it all go down! Nicole small is no joke with her story telling she brings this to LIFE!!! A must for book lovers!
