Book Two in the Color of Heaven series.
This is the story of Kate Worthington and Ryan Hamilton. Kate deals with a teen pregnancy, while Ryan in involved in a teen drunk driving accident. Both later become successful in their field of choice and learn from their mistakes.

I believe that if youve been through hell and you come out the other side, you appreciate the little things more.
Beautiful story. This book is 2 stories weaved together.
Katy gets pregnant at a very early age in a time when things like that are highly frowned upon. Lots of grown up decisions are forced on her and some taken from her. She is sent away to live with her aunt in order to not disgrace the family. After tragic incidents occur, Kate decides to become a paramedic after marrying her high school sweetheart.
Ryan was a punk kid with no responsibilities until a tragic incident turns his life around. Now, he is a doctor in Canada with a family.
Though destiny, these 2 people from different parts of the world will come together after many trials and tribulations.
Excellent weaving of characters lives!
The writer allows you to feel the pain, longings and resolutions for each character. Excellent!
Good Addition to the Series
This is the second book in The Color of Heaven series. While this book is part of series, you can easily read it as a standalone. Though I highly recommend you read the series because Julianne MacLean does such a good job of creating rich characters with thought provoking storylines.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that information here. I have read many of Julianne's books, including other books in the Color of Heaven series, but hadn't read this one yet. It did not disappoint me, even though it was a confusing read at times with the way it went back and forth between the main characters. It is worth hanging in there and reading the entire book.
I also have the Kindle version. I like how the Kindle and Audible versions update where you stopped reading/ listening when switching between the two. Julia Motyka, Jennifer O'Donnell, and Paul L. Coffey were the narrators for the audio version. They did a good job in narrating the book. All three were very articulate and easy to understand.
