Tracker: on the Job

My son wanted a "friend" for his other pet tale dog, "Pepper" the Avalanch rescue dog, which by the way, has been a main stay book and pet for all three of my boys. Tracker, however, seems to have gotten stiffed on the amount of stuffing in the leg areas so he won't sit up properly, but my son doesn't seem to mind. The story is good and illustrations are okay. The price is reasonable. I'll probably end up buying another "Pet Tale" down the road. The concept is cute.

Awesome classic story.

we have loved them from the first

I introduced my children to the Henry and Mudge books years ago,we have loved them from the first. Henry loves his dog Mudge and this addition to the series finds Henry his parents and Mudge on a camping adventure. The stories are engaging with colorful illustrations. If you're new to the series read the first book. I would read anything written by Cynthia Rylant.

Great kids books

I had a heard time at first finding easy readers for my son. He didnât want girlie or neutral themed books, he wanted books about creepy crawly creatures and boy themed subjects. Lots of colorful images and easy to read for the early reader.

We have about 9 of these books. Each is a unique story, there is no formula here. They are creative stories that deal with real life situations in a special Henry and Mudge fashion. They are warm and loving and fun. Henry loves his big dog Mudge. In this story the family takes a trip to the country to buy some farm fresh eggs. An aggressive goose frightens Henry and Mudge, but Mudge has the last "word".

Perfect book for NEW reader...K - 1st gr

The Henry and Mudge series are perfect for a "new" reader....kindergarten or 1st grade. There are about 40 pages with short chapters and some pictures. It can be read in one sitting or easily put down at the end of a chapter. It is great for boys or girls. Now that my son is a better reader, I use these books for him to read to his younger (non-reading) brothers.

Fun series for little kids (6 yrs old)

great little mystery book

This is case #006 for the High_ Rise Private Eyes, Bunny Brown and Jack Jones. It all start when they decide to take a walk to the park. They pass the bus stop and find a parked bus and lots of angry people who want a ride on the bus. Upon investigation they discover that Melvin the bus driver's luck dice has been stolen and he will not drive any where with out it. The High Rise Private Eyes gather clues and are soon to the bottom of the case!

The book was easy to read. The story line moved at a fast pace keeping the readers attention well.

We would recommend this to others. If children have read other books in the High Rise Private Eye series they will enjoy this one as well.

Perfect for 3 to 6 year olds

This is a rarity - an imaginative story for children plus songs which appeal to 'grown up' listeners too! Sweet lyrics and melodies that don't drive you up the wall as so many kids' songs do. My nieces absolutely loved Clatterbox the Glowbot and they sing along with him too.
