Such a cute story!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Such a cute story! The girl who narrated the story has the cutest voice! I love the way she makes all of those voices! I think I might of heard her on TV somewhere when I was watching Disney with my daughter. Can't wait to hear more from her!

Wow!

If you could sum up The Girl Who Wouldn't Go to Bed in three words, what would they be?

A cute story!

Which character as performed by Stefanie Paige was your favorite?

I really think this girl is extremely talented. Due to the interest from my students, we searched her online and found a lot of other books by her that they really enjoy. The boys loved the monkey the best and the girls loved the little girl and the princess.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they met Monty. Very magical!

Language: English

Release date: 11-10-14

Publisher: Saland Publishing

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

An wonderful collection of short stories for children.

Members Reviews:

Needs prescreening for younger children

The stories are the old familiar tales; but in general, they're told in the harshest way possible, which may well be as they were told originally. I prefer the scaled down versions for very young children. Even my eight-year-old grandson was bothered by the parents' actions in the Hansel and Gretel story. He's heard the story many times in other versions including a DVD performance of the opera; but this version actually gave more time to the parents' efforts to abandon their children than to the witch in the forest. We are enjoying some of the stories, but I definitely wouldn't buy it again or encourage anyone else to buy it, unless you're interested in the unabridged versions of classics. I was looking for bedtime stories - my mistake.

Title: One Is a Feast for Mouse

Subtitle: A Thanksgiving Tale

Author: Judy Cox

Narrator: Heyborne Kirby

Format: Unabridged

Length: 7 mins

Language: English

Release date: 10-17-14

Publisher: Dreamscape Media, LLC

Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 1 votes

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

The Thanksgiving feast is over. Leftover turkey and pumpkin pie litter the table. Mouse peeps out of his hidey-hole and spots a small green pea, the perfect feast for one mouse. Yes, one green pea, one red cranberry, one plate of mashed potatoes, and one roasted turkey, that should make a very fine feast for Mouse. But can he get it all back to his hidey-hole?

Critic Reviews:

Whimsical, large-scale illustrations drawn in acrylics, pastels, and colored pencils are a perfect complement to the story. Plenty of action and humor as well as a thoroughly satisfying ending make this a wonderful holiday read-aloud. ( School Library Journal)

"The colorful, animated, mixed-media illustrations show the world from a rodent's perspective, with familiar foods and household items shown in towering proportions. Particularly dramatic is a vertical spread that depicts small Mouse beneath his tall, turkey-topped food pile as Cats face looms at the table edge. This entertaining story may be a good starting point for discussions about appreciation and excess." (Booklist)

Fun and entertaining story. Your kids will be entertained!

This is a fun little tale about Thanksgiving. It's a great and entertaining story anytime. But when you need a Thanksgiving tale around the holidays it's perfect. The artwork is so alive and engaging. There is great attention to detail by the illustrator.

The author, Judy cox is quite a story teller. She cleverly teaches children an important lesson and all the while the kids are engrossed in a truly entertaining story. She uses words that kids understand and at the same time she introduces new words to children. My son was introduced to this story at the library. He loved it so much he begged me to find it and I purchased it on Amazon. Judy cox has other books with this mouse character: Cinco De Mouse-O, Haunted House, Haunted Mouse and Snow Day for Mouse. I hope the author will make more books about this cute little mouse.

Great book

Our school librarian reads this book to our kindergarten students every year. It's a great story for children.

A great Thanksgiving story!

This is one of the best Thanksgiving read-aloud books for young children. The illustrations are full page and catch interest, and the story is fun to follow. The mouse is so expressive--all in all, one of my favorites.

SUPER THANKSGIVING & SATISFACTION BOOK

Love, Love, Love this book. Perfect for teaching youngsters about being happy with what one has. Illustrations are adorable and very enticing for young listeners. The story itself is so well put that I reach for this book at Thanksgiving, but also when lessons about satisfaction and appreciation are needed with a child. A completely enjoyable reading experience!

Great for Thanksgiving!

I love this book. My kindergarten age students love this book. A perfect addition to the Thanksgiving curriculum book collection.
