Thought-provoking and romantic.

This is the kind of novel I, myself, would like to write -- if only I had a modicum of Ms. Barnett's talent. The individual "versions" are masterfully crafted, with each one coming alive in its own right. Together, they are a beautiful study of what-ifs and could-have-beens. I did not experience the level of confusion over the versions that some other reviewers have mentioned (and which almost kept me from purchasing the book). The narrators are excellent, to boot!

Worth sticking with

I really enjoyed listening to this novel. I was intrigued by the format, three different outcomes, and was not disappointed. At first it was difficult to follow. You really do get three different scenarios with the same characters but making different decisions leading to different lives of the two main characters. As the stories progressed, though, it was easier to follow, perhaps because you become more acquainted with the three story lines. I think for anyone who ever wondered "if I had not followed this path what would my life be like now?" this book is a fulfillment of that fantasy. I also liked the way the author tied it all together towards the end for both of the main characters with the insight that every decision we make during our lives has an impact on our future.

Too many parallel stories

The book starts with an interesting idea, (2) characters who meet and then live out (3) separate scenarios in which they connect, or not, over (50) years. But it is a lot of work to keep track of the diverging plots and the multiple secondary characters. The narrator's were good, but couldn't quite give the story the emotional impact it seemed to be reaching for.

1 too many "versions" to keep straight...

There are 3 different "versions" to this story of Jim and Eva, and while each version is engaging and entertaining, I found it exceptionally difficult to keep each of the three versions straight from the other. I wonder if perhaps the audiobook format actually makes this MORE difficult than it would be when reading the actually book. While it was certainly an ambitious attempt, I think 2 versions might have been the maximum.

Thought provoking book

Although this story had no point of great anticipation, it was a tale with many interesting corners. Listening was a little like exploring a large, old house still holding the remnants of the lives lived there.

Great narrators

The person that did Daniel was amazing. His whole performance creeped me out. He sounded like a true manic who believes in everything he does.

Okay series!

The series was okay. It was kind of drawn out. and I swear the author used "my woman", "my girl", "my man" wayyyyyyy to much. it got really really annoying. The stalker (so I won't give anything away) was totally sick and twisted, which helped with the repetitive phrases. Other than that it was an okay series. There is lots of sex! Which I personally like in books. So that was a big plus. Would I listen to these books again, no. It really took all I had to continue sometimes during the books but I am a little ocd and I can't not finish a book.

FANTASTIC!!!

Soul is the final book of The Trinity Trilogy series. Impressive writing, from Gillian's, The Stalker's and Chase's point of views. I see that it will be a continuation that'll determine the fate of the other female characters, too. I very much enjoyed the narrations. I'm impressed with the stalker's performance. His mind patterns of how a psychotic person would behave is on point. It made it believable. And, if course there was some serious eroticism in it as well, to make the book rather steamy!

great ending to this trilogy

this was such a great series audrey carlan dows it again with her storytelling being rich and colorful.

This trilogy was AMAZING!!

Audrey Carlan definitely has a twisted side to be able to portray the stalker as she did but WOW was it a great trilogy! The narrators did a fantastic job again! If you haven't read/listened to the first 2 books yet, start there but this book is an amazing end to the trilogy!!

Book 4 Cherished Scott & Jessie gave us Lauren

Colt and Lauren have been circling each other for years.

Lauren has always had a crush on Colt, and she really wanted to make him see it and boy oh boy does she.

But then when her daddy tells her she needs a man to run the ranch, and says Colt is the man. She is scared and pauses and starts to push Colt away.

She has always wanted to be a part of the Ranch but on her own merit and so she wants and needs to prove it to her dad.

But feeling cant be tampered down and she and Colt find their way to each other.

I loved, loved the scene with Colt and Scott and how Colt made Scott see things he wasnt willing to.

I wanted to smooch Colt for that. He is what is best for Lauren but what I loved right then was that he was willing to do anything it took for him to be good enough for Lauren.. Oh all the feels.

They really do go through some ups and down but it wasnt drama to be drama it fit so well with this book. I loved it.

And again the narration I am telling you, if you havent listened to these audiobooks you need to Erin and Stephen just do a phenomenal job with each of these characters and giving them their own voice. Its pretty fantastic.

A case of animal attraction...

This book is a great addition to the Love in Bloom series by Melissa Foster. I love animals so a book about a veterinarian was sure to catch my attention and once it did, I could not stop listening.

Elisabeth is a free spirit who has returned to Trusty to try her hand at running the farm she inherited. She wants to fit into the close knit community but finds it hard to break the stigma of being a "California Girl."

A tiny pig brings Elisabeth to Ross's doorstep and into his well ordered life. Ross is serious about his veterinarian practice and about life in general so when he is seen about town with "Lissa" tongues start wagging! The rumor mill starts grinding but will the community welcome Elisabeth with open arms?

I enjoyed the book and the story is well written and narrated. Ross and Lissa and their menagerie captured my heart and this book is well worth taking the time to listen to.

The Most Wonderful Story

First, I have been looking forward to Ross Braden's story, and Melissa Foster did not disappoint. I love dogs, so I enjoyed all the ones that are in this book. I also really love how Ross is usually so in control. Then, I enjoyed meeting Elisabeth, with an "s". She is such a sweet person, and I like how she preferred the small town life, instead of her life in Hollywood. Together, they are just perfect. I very much loved listening to the book, every day as I went back and forth to work. I think B.J. Harrison is one of the best narrators there is. The way he alters his voice, I can really keep up with who is saying what, and I can just picture it in my head.

Expected Treasure

Simple story told for the umpteenth time. Nothing new or unexpected. Nothing to keep my interest just waiting for it finally to be over.

Awful

The dialogue was trite, cliche and ridiculous. the narration was just as bad. The male voices all sounded like the characters were 60 years old and the dialogue in general sounded soooo cliche.

Love Joseph and his brother's meddling ways. Sad about Richard but anyways, wonderful listen. I've read this series before and loved it. Listening to it is much better though. The character comes to life. I'm glad Crew finally got the happy ending he wants, though, Haley took forever to come around. Will be looking forward to more. I hope Ms. Cook would continue narrating this entire series. She did a great job.

I loved everything about this story!

I liked everything about this book, I couldn't help but love the main character. Her thoughts always made me laugh. I was never bored which I like even more.

One of the funniest series I have ever listened to

The whole series was absolutely hilarious, I read some comments about over acting blah, blah, blah, I think that's the reason why I loved it so much. Amy McFadden and Nick Podehl both made this series one of my favourites, I laughed so hard and couldn't wait to listen to the next book in this series. Rachel you have another fan, I`m thrilled that I finally found your wickedly funny books, beautiful writer to boot. Your choice is narrators sealed the deal for me, I`m out to listen and read all your books.

Lots of Laugh Out Loud Moments

Would you consider the audio edition of The Consequence of Seduction to be better than the print version?

I have not read the books but can easily say that the audio is much better just because the narrators do such a terrific job with the characters and voice inflections. They truly captured the personalities of each character.

What did you like best about this story?

I like how the characters from the other "Consequence" books are still involved with the characters of this story. There were so many moments of out loud laughter, even times when I laughed so hard I cried. The characters are funny and the narrators did a great job bringing them to life.

Which scene was your favorite?

One of my favorite scenes is when the two main characters are talking in the apartment and the brother of the main character (who lives next door and is a huge busy body), calls out to them to speak a little louder because he can't hear them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure, but I rarely can.

Any additional comments?

I love this series and can't wait until the next one comes out. I know it is going to be as hilarious as the others were, maybe even more because the main character is the guy who always seems to be getting into trouble without even trying (bitten by red ants and discover he's allergic, getting a black eye from being an observer at a ping pong game, etc.) I would have to say that no matter how many times I've listened to the series, I still experience those bouts of laughter throughout the story.

Entertaining

Having never read anything by Ms. Labonte, I really had no idea what to expect. She made me chuckle and a few times laugh out loud, and kept me interested and focused. This is a story of people, mostly in their 30's, going through career and relationship struggles and still trying to figure out their place in the world. Drinking as an escape is a part of their "struggles," so if women getting drunk offends you, probably best to skip this one. The story line is clever and very "today." The characters are brought to life, and you will be groaning with despair and at other times, cheering them on. I loved this book for the pure entertaining during a time I needed distraction. I will be looking for more by this author.

Happy Ending

I prefer books where you actually like the characters and I did. Also a very intelligent and sweet 5 year old. I prefer books where the conflict doesn't go on forever, which it didn't in this book. worth read

Loved it!

Nice story, it was as if I was watching real people go through real problems. Strong female lead, not like those other books where the females are always acting like they are so helpless in the presence of the male leads or heroes. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Not enough character development

The characters fell in lust, love to fast. He treated her badly and boom she fell in love with him after sleeping together a few times. I don't know how anyone can fall in love/lust with a man that didn't give his own daughter any of his time. I was disappointed. On the plus the narrators did the best they could with what they had to work with.

a dream come true

Sandi Lynn will sweep you away with this sexy story of Delilah and Oliver. A single daddy, a precious little girl, and a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Who says dreams can't come true?

What a great "Cinderella" story!

This was the first book by Sandi Lynn that I've read/listened to, but it sure won't be the last! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was really a nice spin on the Cinderella theme. It was just a deeper, more important story about love, loss, acceptance, trust and understanding.

I loved how not only was the story about Sophie learning to trust and love as experts herself, but also about Oliver leading to be a father and more patient and accepting person. Delilah was the bright light that entered their lives and changed their world.

Loved the book!!

Brian and Fran did a really good job with the narration. This was the first time I had heard any of their work too. They did a nice job bringing the characters to life and getting their emotions across. Very enjoyable!

You feel this one down to your toes.

I can't put my finger on exactly why, maybe it's the intensity and mystery surrounding Kian, or the emotional backstory of their whole story, but I definitely felt the emotions for the entirety of this story.

I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I was a little confused by the characters choices seeming to against who they are, but overall it didn't take away from the book much, and I would give it a recommendation.

I didn't like the female narrator's voice. I couldn't tell if she was kian or Jordan. the story was OK. a little slow

Just Okay.

I'm a huge lover of Tijan, but this book was not good. It was incredibly slow, which I'm okay with sometimes if the steam makes up for it later on, but the "sexy" parts were glazed over and bad too. I didn't feel the connection between Jordan and Kian, and I never grew to like anything about Jordan's character. If you want great Tijan read the Fallen Crest series, or Hate to Love You.

How tragic that it took such A horrible trauma that nearly devastated two people's lives. I guess it's true, love does conquer all. I highly recommend this book and this author the style and passion of the writing is well worth your time.
