Gut-wrenchingly beautiful

Where We Belong was a gut-wrenching story about two soul mates finding their way back to one another. It was emotional and deep and beautifully written.

The narration was outstanding. The narrators had me feeling everything the book wanted me to feel. Arden and Prescott are now added to me slow growing "top narrators" list.

Not only did this book break out all the feels, it was engaging and kept me thinking just one more chapter.

I enjoyed the whole storyline, the banter between Taylor and Logan. Watching everything unfold between them. They fell in love with each other and both were so shocked when they realized it. They are perfect for each other like Mason and Sam. It was also great to see Mason, Sam and Nate. This has a bit of suspense, steamy moments and laugh out loud times. I recommend Logan Kade for a fun listen!

Yes, this book was bomb yes, lol really good, has some good laughs throughout this book. Logan is hilarious. The whole Fallen Crest Series should've been abut him lol. Or at least a series about him. I would've read that series. I want Nate to find love now since Mason and Logan have it. Can't wait to read part 6 and 7 when it comes out I hope it be as good as 1-5 and this stand alone book about Logan , and Mason stand alone. Logan definitely was Logan Mutha ***** Kade lol. *** Machine lol.

Outstanding

Great performance by the narrators. They were perfect in conveying the emotions of the characters. I loved the plot & the characters lept off the page. It was different & captivated my interest. The romantic scenes were sexy & had my panties melting! I give this 5 sexy stars! A definite must read. I can't wait to listen to the next book. I have already purchased it.

Cliffhanger ending.

Not fond of cliffhangers. Otherwise decent story. I like erotica but there was actually a little too much sex.

Suspenseful, hot, and steamy! The first book in The Sugar Bowl series will have you aching for more! Beckett North = yum!!! Sela has her hands full with this one but what about her past? Will she finally get the revenge she's looking for? Guess we have to wait for the next book!

Found it a bit annoying half way in

I was disappointed in this book. I certainly expected more from the summary.

The hero good - great guy with a good heart. While the heroine was a total disaster. Over and over again she says she's supporting herself and has strength, but she cannot pay her bills, get over her last, or act like a freaking adult! So tired of hearing about her underwear with sayings on it and the butt rubbing - ugh! Total annoyance!!

Very lovable characters

Olivia gets roped into a charity masquerade where she has a lusty encounter with a masked stranger.

Not being able to see eachother seriously enhanced the sexiness of this one nighter.

Hendrix is this hot tatted up bar owner with a love 'em and leave 'em reputation.

When Olivia ends up in a financial pickle, her job at the hospital just isn't going to cut covering the bills.

A second job is the only way to dig herself out of the hole.

The job quest leads her right to Coldwell's Bar.

The chemistry is apparent from the start with neither knowing they are the masked lovers from the masquerade.

When the sexual tension really starts to build a pair of panties surface that causes the realization of who they really are to sink in.

Things heat up pretty quickly in this somewhat drama filled listen.

The slow narration was kind of distracting in the beginning but, after playing with the speed setting it was perfect.

I'm glad that fixed the problem because I thoroughly enjoyed the book after that.

More than just a enticing hot hook up..

There's strong family bonds and lots of love here.

Definitely credit worthy!!

Great Story Correct Amount of Drama

Three sons, Hendrix, Morrison and Jagger, hot, good hearted and loved their mother hated their father. This is the oldest Hendrix and Olivia's (quirky sweet Olivia) story.

Never thinking he would wish to have a serious relationship Hendrix has a hot interlude with a woman in a closet at a masked cancer benefit. She lands up working at his bar needing extra money. At first not recognizing each other they fall for each other. There's some angst and fighting of feelings but eventually they fill in each other's lives.

Sweet, hot and romantic I highly recommend this story with a great audio. The male voice is perfect and so is the woman's.

Just Love Preacher

I loved this book. It made me laugh and even shed a tear or two. I REALLY like the narrator. I will be listening to it again without a doubt. I loved how the brought in a few of the characters from the Burnout series. Nice to see Jack and Chris patch things up. Finally Rawlings gets what he deserves!!!! There were a few inconsistencies. and editing was a bit weird in a few instances but over all I really loved it.

Another Five Star Hit From West!

What a captivating, and heart warming story! West has done it again! After listening to the Burnout series, I was excited to learn about the spin off, Rapid City Stories, and it's first story, Preacher. West does an outstanding job developing a plot that is well balanced with humor, drama, violence, steamy sex scenes with plenty of dirty talk, and a awesome HEA. What I liked even more than the plot, was the character development.

As leader of a MC club, Preacher has done a lot of bad things in his life, but when he is left for dead, he is forced to leave Rapid City to recover, and plot his revenge. He eventually finds himself on a ranch where he meets Erin. Their first encounter is not on the friendliest of terms, but they will soon learn they both need each other. Erin is strong independent women who is trying to prove she can make it, but in reality she needs assistance to run the ranch, and Preacher is the perfect person. As the days pass, and these two become closer, we see Preacher's character transform from the harden biker to a loveable man who is crazy about his women and dog. Their journey was fun to hear unfold, from the laugh out loud moments, playful banter to the steamy sex scenes. You can't help but to fall in love with these two characters. When trouble comes knocking, Preacher will whatever it takes to keep Erin safe.

Mason Lloyd did outstanding job narrating this story, and was able to portray the characters, and emotions flawlessly. I sure hope there are plans to release West's other series in audio! I'm definitely on-board for any future books by the West/Lloyd team!

Too Violent & Crude For Me!

What disappointed you about Preacher?

Preacher is the president of a biker gang called the Buzzard's. The Buzzard's own the "drug trade" in Rapid City. The book is about gang life, prostitutes, and dirty cops. And of course change. I won't say I was disappointed in his character.

Not too bad

It was an okay story. As expected, events unfolded according to the popular format. My only complaint was about male narrator trying to speak in a female voice. That was rather annoying and at times I had to turn volume down as I felt uncomfortable listening to his voice during those episodes. Wish he had continued in his normal voice instead. That would have been much better.

ooooooook before I start let me just say I'm not a small girl by any means 6'1 and curvy so when I say this I'm speaking from experience I know it know always easy to find love but through this hole book the amount of reassuring she need from him drive me up a wall every two damn seconds she's second guessing her self and body when it's clearly unnecessary but besides that it's a good story lots of sex a bit of an over kills but not bad I love that the girl in the story is real but I don't like the way it makes her all weird about her body not every big girl is that way

Yes, there are not that many books that show the female as something other than a thin, contoured and "conventionally" beautiful woman. So much emphasis is put on being skinny. This book is the loves story that gives curvy women the ability to dream.

When Talbages Aunt dies, she leaves several stipulations in her Will. One is that he can't tell anyone about the money she left him & two he has to help refurbish the old Inn before he leaves town.

Love Story Extraordinar

Another Home Run for Shelly Alexander. Gotta love hot guys and integrity. Lots of laugh out loud humor, tender moments, and even some sizzle!

Annoying & Selfish

For me, In His Smile was a huge disappointment, although I believe the author has talent. I found aspiring innkeeper Miranda childishly annoying and architect Talmadge incredibly selfish, both acting more like immature teens than adults in their late 20s and early 30s.

Because of her promiscuous mother, Miranda was irrationally afraid to date in fear of ruining her "reputation" as if there is something wrong with a single person who enjoyed sex. WTF? Since this book was set in this century (not the stone age), the plot was ridiculous. It was difficult to like or connect to a smart female character with no self-respect or backbone.

Talmadge rarely visited his grandmother in Red River for 15 years because he had some warped guilt trip over his parents death. What a selfish asshole! When he finally returned for her funeral, he was mostly concerned with his career and financial problems. I found Talmadge selfish and obnoxious, so I totally lost interest in the plot.

ps. The appeal of a series, particularly one set in a small town, is a large cast of familiar and/or eccentric characters. Yet the Red River residents featured in the first 2 books only made an occasional appearance, without adding that hometown feeling.

My favorite character was the Priest Maria talked to about the trip which she was to take. He seemed to have the ear of God and knew what Michael needed most!

Not my favorite by Benton Frank

storyline is sad and reader's voice is not to my liking. I prefer happy stories over realistic.

Brain tumor story not my favorite

As someone who lost a 55 year old brother to a malignant brain tumor and a 40 year old cousin to a non malignant brain tumor I wish I had known that would be the subject of the book. Very unrealistic about the subject. Cognitive problems are more common than headaches. That being said, I enjoyed the spiritual discussions much more than the coverage of the brain cancer issue.

Fantastic narration!!!

There is a lot of angst in this book and maybe I'm a sucker but I truly loved this story! I know there is some controversy in other reviews and it's because of that that I had to read it myself and I'm so glad I did.

Kate is one hell of a strong woman. Some might say she's a doormat but when you deeply love someone despite their flaws, your emotions get the better of you. Her soul mate ended up marrying her best, so Katie pushed her feelings aside and was there for Rachel every step of the way. It was easy because Shane was in the marines and constantly being deployed, however, tragedy strikes and Kate puts her life aside to be there for the kids and Shane. She's an amazing person and loves those kids like they're her own. A year after Rachel's death, Kate is called upon to check on Shane and when she finds him and alcohol is involved; the lines get blurred - big time!!

Their story is a roller coaster of emotions. Shane is a dickhead a lot and I do not agree with the way he treats Kate. My belief is that he was a scared boy afraid of his emotions and the way he felt for Kate when they were younger which made him resort to go with a safer choice. Now years later, he's an angry man and is stilled scared of his emotions but after being with Kate, his walls slowly come down. After he makes a colossal mistake shattering everything, he finally sees the light and will do everything he can to fix it..... but will it be too late?!!

This is one of those books that's mesmerizing. It was absolutely amazing and intriguing. At the same time I was completely in love with Kate, I completely hated and abhorred Shane and how awful he was to her. Throughout almost the entire story, I wanted to hurt him...bad...just because he kept hurting Kate over and over again. It's a highly emotional, angst-filled story...but because of that, not everyone is going to be able to enjoy it.

Ugh.

Shane is an alpha-hole in every single sense of the word. And even after finishing the book, I'm not so sure I like him at all. BUT for me, the author made that work. I wanted to lash out about how unfairly he treated Kate, but there were reasons...not good ones mind you, but reasons that he fully believed. He lied to himself so many times about so many things to do with Kate.

They met when they were teenagers in a weird foster parent situation that I never really fully understood. But from the moment they met, there was something between them...something he refused to acknowledge, because if nothing else, Shane is completely stubborn...to a fault. And that is his biggest fault. He refuses...absolutely refuses...to accept that he can feel something for Kate. He won't allow it, and so he lashes out at her over and over again...even when he desperately wants her.

The problem...not only does she love him, but she's the primary caregiver for his kids. Since he's gone on deployments so much of the time, she's more of a parent to them than he is. Even when she finally reaches the point of telling him to go screw himself, she can't leave...there are 4 kids that she'd have to abandon to do that...and she just can't.
