The story was more like a consultation and definitely a focus on commercial real estate investing as opposed to residential. A good read for the feel of a consultation and foundation for terms and important things to consider and take into consideration. I enjoyed it for what it was.

Very informative. smith is great at explaining it clearly. This is a great book for those interested in entering the commercial real estate market. It does a good job of giving a general overview of the different types of commercial real estate investment opportunities that are commonly available.

Unfortunately I should have known better, but I literally read a handful of articles by typing "passive income" into he search engine that all said what this audio book said. So profit off my expense & keep your money. All this info can be found online. It's just one of those subjects that's already out there and talked a lot about, so it can't be helped that this info is out there to the public for free.

Well, the definition of passive income in the very beginning of this book makes things clear. Creating multiple areas of income provides some level of diversification your risks.

I hoped it would explain more than it did. It was a good listen but I just wish it had more info about getting started. Overall it was ok.

Learned a lot on real estate from this book, the book is organized well and the chapters are expectantly helpful. All I can say is wow, this book tell you the secrets of the real estate market and some very helpful tips. I am very impressed in this book as I am a real estate agent and I was learning things i didn't even know about! Great buy.

very disappointing..book might help those with little to no understanding of what finances you need to consider retirement but the content on this topic was short and shallow...most of the volume of the book contained in the two "bonus" books about paying off your mortgage which seemed to be a pretty detailed approach. I wish the content on the retirement topic had been as detailed. I left the book in the seat pocket of the plane as i felt like i wasted $12

A quick, insightful, easy-to-read 'must-read' for all ages

I'm a huge fan of K. Elizabeth's previous books, and this one is no exception. Although I have many more years until retirement, I found this book extraordinarily helpful because it targets anyone and everyone before retirement, no matter their age. From listing some simple dos and donts of retirement, to showing simple to follow mathematical ways to ensure you have enough money saved, K. Elizabeth taught me so much. I had no idea just how important my 401(k) was or how to save up money without affecting my financial situation. This quick, easy-to-read book is great. A must-have book for anyone looking for simple but very helpful information on pre-retirement plans, actions, and must-know information.

Makes presentations not so intimidating

Very good, concise book that gives practical advice on how to give presentations. I particularly loved the section that featured notable TED talks speakers that use unconventional delivery methods to get their points across. As a TED junkie, it was nice to see how we can take what we learn from the best speakers of TED and apply it in our daily presentation styles to make our presentations more exciting.

Yes, I would listen again, to re-check my notes and re-confirm some information. I also enjoyed the honesty of the author, sharing his background; his history is easy to relate to, and probably speaks to most investors.

What did you like best about this story?

The author doesn't paint a 'picture of roses' or inflate the process with outlandish expectations. The information is grounded and forthright, which I really appreciated. There is sincerity in the way the DRIP world and operation is laid out by the author.

What about Dave Garners performance did you like?

The narrator had a strong, clear voice. He was easy to understand and follow. I didn't have any issues in comprehension, accent or diction - it all flowed smoothly.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The author's personal financial stories definitely resonated and left an impression. They justified the author's reasoning for writing the book in the first place, which was refreshing. I was left with a stable, upbeat impression, and a much better understanding of how to incorporate Dividend Reinvestments, and what to look out for.

I do highly recommend this book. Like I said, it is immensely honest in presentation, and I got a solid overview of DRIPS. I'll definitely listen to it again. It is a perfect length.
