TikTok has become a tool for music artists. Many say that the popular social media platform opens the door to new artists and sounds. But not all artists are onboard with this trend when it comes to releasing their music and reaching their fans. One artist is an alternative rock band from Toronto called goodnight sunrise. They wrote a song about how "sick" they are of being told to get famous on TikTok. Music director Cristina Lavecchia chats with band member Vanessa Vakharia about the new track "wait for it" and their summer tour.

The Netflix show Squid Game has become a cultural phenomenon, so much so that there is now a course being offered at the University of Toronto about it. On this episode of Millennial Balance, Afua Baah and Shaliza Bacchus are joined by Professor Paolo Granata, creator of the course "Squid Games and the Media". Professor Granata shares all the themes that will be explored in the fourth-year course.
