Today we're headed back to a great era of Big XII football for a top 10 matchup between #1 Texas and #7 Texas Tech played on November 1, 2008. 

The Longhorns, led by Colt McCoy, were on the back end of a four-game stretch against top 11 teams and had to travel to Lubbock. The Red Raiders were putting together one of the great offensive seasons of all-time under Mike Leach thanks to Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree.

You won't find many atmospheres more electric than the west Texas crowd inside Jones AT&T Stadium that night. It was Texas Tech's opportunity to move into the national championship conversation officially and College Gameday was on hand for the first time.

Back in 2018, it looked like the sport of college basketball was about to be turned upside down thanks to an FBI investigation centered around Christian Dawkins. 

The press conference shocked the sports world and identified a lot of powerful schools and coaches. Two years later and very little has happened outside of Dawkins being convicted on a number of charges. 

So what happened?

The Scheme, a documentary on HBO Max, is the story of how this investigation unfolded as told primarily by Christian Dawkins. It's an intriguing tale of five wild months in 2017 and how the FBI attempted a take down of college basketball. 

On this episode, we recap the documentary and give our thoughts on how everything went down. If you're a fan of CBB, this is a story you want to hear.

With the news of Lute Olson's passing, we wanted to go back to night he reached the pinnacle of college basketball. Join us as we go back to watch the 1997 NCAA Tournament championship game between 1-seed Kentucky and 4-seed Arizona. Rick Pitino's Wildcats were defending champions and seven point favorites in this title game.

Today we're taking you back to the pre-HD days of the NFL to one of the all-time great Super Bowl matchups. It's John Elway and the Denver Broncos facing off against Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII on January 25, 1998.

The Broncos came in as a Wild Card looking to get Elway his first Super Bowl victory at age 37 but they were an 11-point underdog to the Packers. That's in part because Green Bay came in as the defending champs with Favre having just won his third straight NFL MVP.

You be hard-pressed to find a sports fan that hasn't seen the Music City Miracle play. It's one of the most iconic kickoff returns in NFL history and a play that put the Titans on the map as a new franchise in Nashville. 

We went back and watched this 1999 AFC Playoff Wild Card Game between the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans, who had a 13-3 record as a wild card team by the way. 

We expected to see a low-scoring game with little to talk about besides that final play but there's much, much more to discuss about this matchup. So join us as we take you back to January 8, 2000 to relive the very first playoff game in Nashville.

Everyone remembers the Ray Allen three from the corner with the Miami Heat on the verge of elimination. It's a shot that will live as one of the great clutch jumpers in NBA history. It also kept the Heat from losing their second NBA Finals in three seasons.
