Tony Kaye's 1998 film, American History X is the choice for this week's movie talk episode. It's a story about 2 brothers who overcome their racial hatred that was taught to them growing up. Starring Edward Norton and Edward Furlong, it's a great movie with a lot of heavy subject matter. At the top of the show, we mention other movies that we've seen in the past couple weeks and those are: Nope, Magnolia, Interstellar, Pieces of a Woman, Tenet, Hocus Pocus and The Guilt Trip. If you're a fan of The Beatles and haven't seen this flick, it's worth a watch in my opinion. Mike chose the 2001 movie Rock Star starring Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston. It's Independence Day and we recorded this episode at about 2am this morning. It's a short one but at least we were able to get it out on time. We get into all kinds of topics such as, Norm Macdonald's newest comedy special, going out for karaoke, movies (of course), monkey pox, Joe Dirt quotes, 4th of July memories, Buzz Aldrin and we also throw in some bad Bill Cosby impressions. Party on! For this edition of our movie talk episodes, Mike chose Wayne's World because it's one of those movies that helped shape him into the man he is today. Kevin chose probably his second favorite Farrelly brothers movie behind Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin. These are both great comedies from the 90's and they were fun to rewatch.
