DISTRIKT

To camp with and play at DISTRIKT this year was an unforgettable experience that I am eternally thankful for. This was my third Burn, the majority of my time at my previous 2 Burns being spent on the dancefloor at DISTRIKT 😊💜 I have met so many friends on this dancefloor that I am still close with to this day. I had such a magical time opening and setting the vibe Tuesday morning, playing my favorite tracks of all time 😍 I made sure to save what I felt are extra special, timeless masterpieces for this magical experience. When Robot Heart plugged in later on in the day and Lee Burridge played the vibes were euphoric, loving and so surreal. I was so deeply touched. Thank you so much DISTRIKT for having me, and letting me start off the best day of my life.

With so much love,

It was so special attending the 2019 burn because both DISTRIKT and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary (Burnaversary) on the playa!

The DISTRIKT crew always makes sure that people have the best daytime party experience EVER! and I feel so lucky to be able to work with them for these last several years. :)

If you haven't been to Burning Man - it's a must. Get your ticket and come party with DISTRIKT every day until sunset - it will be an unforgettable experience under the beautiful stage designs, the super fun misting stations, open bar, welcoming and friendly crowd, and the top-notch music by international and local California DJs.

They are my favorite day time crew and 2019 was one epic burn! Please enjoy my Friday set :)

DISTRIKT has always been my favorite camp to party at as well as the most fun to play at. No matter what the conditions - you are always in for a treat. This year I had the opportunity to play Friday at 1:45 pm when the crowd was just starting to get going. Every time I play at DISTRIKT, as soon as I get on, the music and energy just flows right out of me and onto the dance floor in what seems like perfect harmony. DISTRIKT is a magical place for sure and something I always look forward to. Big thanks to my DISTRIKT family and to all of you that put it all out on the dance floor.

"Took a year off from Burning Man in 2018 to travel and was feeling extra excited to return to the playa with over a year's worth of tunes in my back pocket saved for this very special place. Was absolutely delighted to be asked to play DISTRIKT again and had a special bag of gems saved for this very occasion - just in case. The gems in this mix range from melodic deep house with haunting and quirky vocals to nasty bass house with a progressive edge, oftentimes seesawing between the two styles back-to-back, just to keep things interesting and fresh. Enjoy. "

What an honor and humbling experience to be one of the first to blast sound at Burning Man this year and especially at DISTRIKT, right after the end of a tiring build week!

I cooked some “proper” tracks (212 Remix, Jem Be Edit, Queen Remix) tailored to the event, and got a chance to field test them earlier this year at various gigs. This time I even tried a new blend of some trippy/melodic scratches as seasonings, let me know what you think ;-)

I hope you’ll enjoy this meal as much as I enjoyed preparing and cooking it for you!

Thank you for listening.

For the love of music (and dust),

DISTRIKT for me was one of those things where I knew from my first

record that I was home!!!

The people and vibe were truly amazing!!! What a way to bring in my

first burn.

I've been to 4 consecutive burns now, 2016 was my first. I've been blessed to play a number of sound camps and art cars, but I've always thought of DISTRIKT as one of the great whites, with a reputation that I’ve known about since before I made my first pilgrimage to the Playa. The hardworking and meticulous DISTRIKT team always provide a mystical experience for all of us dusty musically inclined burners, with a carefully curated lineup and grade A Funkworks sound. Like many DJs, I hoped to one day be given the opportunity to perform on this stage, and when I was asked to open the stage on Saturday morning at this year's Burn I was truly honored and stoked! I view the opener time slot as a challenging role that comes with a lot of responsibility and one that must be handled appropriately. I often have more opportunities for late-night sets so it was really exciting to step out of my usual zone and get to flex my chops with a daytime set! I drew on my memory of DISTRIKT over the years and felt inspired to bring to the table a different kind of opening set. I wanted to do something very minimal start to finish, but with a careful progression throughout my tale, covering different areas and emotions. Thank you DISTRIKT for giving me such a fun and unique opportunity, an experience I won't forget!

"I always love my times coming to Distrikt to party and dance and celebrate. So it was awesome to get to come and play some music again this past year with one of the best camps on playa"

This was our third time playing for the DISTRIKT camp at Burning Man, and as they say, third time is a charm. The fun thing about playing for DISTRIKT is that it challenges us to dig deep into our techno and look for the more bumpin and thumpin grooves as opposed to the whimsical trippy sounds that we enjoy sprinkling around The Playa. As always DISTRIKT supplied an amazing sound system, and the new set up with the shade structure definitely adds more vibe to the party and the dance floor. We had fun playing this set on a pleasant Friday afternoon this year, warming up the stage for the day and getting people into the mood. We hope you enjoy this 90 min ride of all original productions.
