DISTRIKT

DISTRIKT is a sound camp we’ve hoped to play for many years, the perfect daytime vibes draw in such beautiful souls. With the sun above us that afternoon, together we danced and enjoyed the magic of the playa. Love and thanks to the DISTRIKT family and everyone who co-created this magical experience.

"It's not even a question that DISTRIKT is one of the best, most consistent stages on the playa. In fact, as a young burner, I remember dreaming of having the opportunity to play there. So, needless to say, being invited the last few years has been an honor and a privilege. Big love and thanks to the DISTRIKT family for having me again and I hope you enjoy my set from Burning Man 2019 :)"

Playing DISTRIKT this year was very surreal. I’ve been going to the Burn for 7 years and DISTRIKT has always been the most totally epic party. My track "Kill It" was deeply inspired by my experiences at burning man and this camp. It's a huge milestone for me to be able to perform on this stage and I'm thrilled to share this set with you! <3

DISTRIKT has been the home of my favorite day party at Burning Man since way back. You can feel the energy coming from their banging parties every time you pass by on the street. It’s infectious, and it makes you want to jump off your bike and join the fun. I wanted to let that energy inform my set. I wanted to join the fun, to feel the crowd and let the vibe inform where I would go musically. I hope you enjoy it.

Since first attending Burning Man in 2010, DISTRIKT has always been a go-to party during the day when you wanted to just let go and let your freak flag fly. Always a good time, I have had many hot sweaty days here dancing in the sun and enjoying all the beauty it has to offer. When I was asked to play this past year, I was elated that they wanted me back. Being able to play for such a quintessential sound camp is such an honor and humbling experience. It pushes me as an artist and makes me work extra hard cause, you know you have to bring the vibes when you hit the decks. For this year I wanted to do something special, and I chose to play more than 50% original unreleased material as well as new music from my label. It was such an amazing feeling seeing people get down to music that I produced, I’m forever grateful for the experience. I just want to give a huge thank you to Ben, the whole DISTRIKT crew, my friends, and all the people who were there who made this day unforgettable. I’m happy to share this set with you all, this will be the only set I share from the Burn this year, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did playing. Much love and see you in 2020 )’(

Getting to play for DISTRIKT was definitely something on my bucket list. I have been attending Burning man for 7 years each year I definitely spend some decent amount of time raving at DISTRIKT always hoping to play the following year, so finally when Ben asked me to play I was super excited. I had the best time playing! the sound is incredible and the vibe is like nothing else. Hopefully, this will be the first of many playing at Distrikt 😁❤

DISTRIKT was my very first DJ gig at Burning Man 10 years ago and it felt so good to be back. This year’s set up was insanely amazing! The perfect layout and so many happy and beautiful people. I'm so happy to have shared that experience with my brother Holmar and to be able to play a longer set to close DISTRIKT on opening day was just what we needed.

2019 was my 5th Burning Man, with 2010 being my first. Distrikt was already one of the top sound camps in BRC almost a decade ago & a place I’ve spent many an hour kicking up the dust with friends over the years. It was therefore of course an honor & a privilege to play at Distrikt this year where I played from 3pm - 4:30pm on the Thursday afternoon. With the crowd just starting to build before I went on I decided to drop the energy back a little to establish a solid groove and start the fun journey that would build the vibes appropriately for all that was to follow that afternoon. I hope you enjoy this musical journey as much as I did. What an amazing day that was.

It’s hard to describe the electric vibe and energy of Burning man, and then you Distrikt which in my opinion is on another level. Everyone who is there is 110% committed to the moment and soaking in every ounce of the experience, so when it comes to playing a set mid-day the place is electric. Playing at the House Of Yes in New York was exactly that vibe and literally people hanging off the rafters...honestly the best gig of the year for me and I cannot wait to play it again.
