In April of 2021, an Indonesian Navy Submarine went missing for three days. When it was eventually found it was confirmed that the sub was at the bottom of the sea and all 53 crew members were dead. The submarine had cracked into three pieces due to the pressure of the tonnes of water above. This incident is just one of many tragedies that have happened since submarines were first used extensively during World War I. Here are five disturbing submarine disasters.
