My Special Guests is Peter Wise

Peter has been a professional copywriter all his working life and is also a passionate fisherman. Published at Halloween 2023, his book Disturbing the Water is a collection of original ghost stories, all themed around fish, fishing and fishy places. But it's not necessary to be an angler to appreciate these tales of tragedy, redemption and the unexpected.

The book was inspired by an episode on the History of Ghosts in The Rest is History podcast. There are echoes of real history in over half of the stories, from the Civil War to WW2, and from the Witch Craze to a Victorian serial killer.
