Alanna laughed and said that people 'love to think that though'. A person asked when their families will meet each other. Alanna and Ivor said that though they have been together for two years, their families haven't met yet. Alanna said, "My mom said she's coming here in April and we're gonna meet your family. • Launching an NFT Project In 2022 By Yourself | Divij’s Den | Ep 38
Launching an NFT Project In 2022 | Divij’s Den | Ep 38 There is so much to do from launching to running an NFT project. Creating parts for artworks, generating 10,000 unique artworks and metadata, creating a smart contract and deploying it to a blockchain network, creating a website, creating a Twitter account, setting up a Discord server, setting up an OpenSea collection. In addition, you need to have MetaMask installed in your browser and have some ETH / MATIC. Did you get tired of doing all this? Don’t worry, once you know what you need to do, all you have to do is do it one by one.
To be honest, it’s best to run an NFT project in a team of three or more, including artists, developers, and marketers. However, depending on your motivation, you can do it by yourself. Some people might come later to offer help with your project. The most important thing is to take a step as soon as possible.
In this article, I will focus on what I did to launch my NFT project, what I failed, and what you should be aware of in running your NFT project. The content of this article is all based on my experience.
If you would like to know more about each section, have questions, or have a discussion, please join our Discord community. It has a #dev channel. Creating Parts for Artworks
There are lots of free/paid software for drawing, but after all, I think Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is the best. The images of Skulls In Love are a composite of 48x48 pixel parts created using Photoshop.
The most important thing in creating parts for generative art is to repeatedly test what your artworks will look like after each layer has been combined. The generated artworks should not be too unnatural.
How Many Parts Should You Create?
Are you wondering how many parts you should create to avoid duplication as much as possible when generating your artworks? My friend Stephane, a developer, has created a great tool to help with that:
Generating 10,000 Unique Artworks and Metadata
I highly recommend using the HashLips Art Engine to generate your artworks and metadata. Perhaps there is no better artworks generation tool at the moment.
    GitHub: https://github.com/HashLips/hashlips_art_engine
    YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzH7Gjadmj0&t=4712s
Learn how to use the generator in the YouTube video above.
When setting up the generator, pay attention to the layers, as mentioned earlier. See the example below: The medical mask is three-dimensional, but the tears are in front of it. This is actually unnatural. I later realized this failure and regretted it a lot, but in a sense, I positively consider these failed works to be “rare”.
    Storing Artworks and Metadata
Ideally, the generated artworks and metadata should be stored on-chain, but if you want to store them off-chain, you should use IPFS. Do not store in centralized storage. This is because data will be lost if the server goes down or if the company goes down. On the other hand, IPFS is a more secure way to find data because it utilizes a distributed, decentralized system.
Storing to IPFS is easy with Pinata, NFT.Storage, and so on. The Skulls In Love uses Pinata. It’s very easy to use, just upload the folder containing your artworks. However, it contains 10,000 images, so there are too many and an error occurs. If this happens, follow the documentation below: Creating and Deploying a Smart Contract
You don’t have to create a smart contract from scratch. There are many great NFT projects, many of which publish their contract source code on Etherscan / PolygonScan. You can choose the contract you like and reuse it. Of course, that requires some knowledge of Solidity, but it depends on your efforts. If you don’t know which contract to choose, use the HashLips smart contract. It’s very simple, but it has almost all the functions you need.

    1. FIND TRUSTWORTHY PARTNERS
Whether it’s a close friend or family member, partner with people you know you can trust as you begin researching how to build a business. Kerpen himself has partnered with both his spouse and one of his good friends of over 30 years. Most of the time, we focus on the character and virtues of those we are legally partnered with. But vetting other people and entities that you are associated with – including your vendors and advisors – is equally critical. You have the freedom to select whom you want to work with, so take the time to do your research. Check references, talk to others who have worked with them and perform background checks if your partnership will involve the handling of private information or large amounts of money. Remember, you eventually become like those you spend the most time with, so make sure you surround yourself with good people when building a business.
    2. CREATE A STRATEGY AND FOCUS
One of the biggest mistakes young businesses make is over-committing. In their pursuit of building a business, they end up saying yes to almost everything because they’re excited to get the word out about their company, but they often hurt their chances of success by lacking a clear focus and not being selective enough. If you try to be all things to all people, chances are you will fail. Start with making a one-page strategic plan that forces you to focus on creating and doing one thing for one target audience. What do you want to do that will add value to the lives of your customers? Verne Harnish’s one-pager provides an ideal framework to help structure this thought process.
As Tony often says, where focus goes, energy flows. With a singular focus, you can harness all of your energy and effort and direct it toward the specific outcome of building a business that succeeds.
    3. SAY NO TO WHAT’S OFF FOCUS
Saying no to anything that isn’t in your direct line of fire may be difficult to do at first when learning how to build a business, but can actually be one of the smartest decisions you make in the long run – even if it means firing your own customers. Why? Because it frees you up to focus on your target, it allows for more space and bandwidth to grow and it makes you available for the yesses.
How does learning to set limits help you excel in building a business? The answer is twofold, hinging on the equation of time management coupled with the emotional toll of over-committing yourself (and your team) in the pursuit of business success. The former needs little explanation; there are only 24 hours in a day, and you and your team can only accomplish so much during the eight or so hours in the workday. If you overload your team, they are forced to multitask. It’s a myth that multitasking is productive – it’s actually overwhelming and leads to mistakes and lower quality work in the long run.

  • Influencer Marketing Will Pop In 2022 | Divij’s Den | Ep 36
Influencer Marketing Will Pop In 2022 | Divij’s Den | Ep 36 If you want to know what influencer marketing trends 2022 will bring your way, you've come to the right place. Influencer marketing is already big, and it's only going to get bigger. Every year brings about new social media platforms, new types of content, and new ways brands can engage with their potential customers. The best influencers stay on top of the trends so they can offer brands what they need to shine. With the social media landscape changing so quickly, it's important that influencers leverage the hottest influencer marketing trends quickly to develop their authority and expertise, making themselves more attractive to brands. For their part, brands will want to jump on these influencer marketing trends to expand their audience, generate new leads, and earn more revenue.
After years like 2020 and 2021, in which brands found themselves scrambling to update their marketing and advertising campaigns to resonate with an audience suddenly stuck at home, 2022 offers tons of promise. Not only have businesses learned that they could operate virtually, but more and more consumers have turned to the internet to meet their eCommerce needs. And, since several traditional marketing methods were incompatible with the effects of a global pandemic, brands sought out content creators and influencers who are adept at creating reactive content. While the IPA reported a 20% decline across advertising, influencers enjoyed a 46% increase. That's huge. And it's why influencers have seen the spotlight on them grow brighter.
So, let's dive into the 2022 influencer marketing trends you can trust to keep business booming throughout the year.
    1. A Greater Emphasis on Following Preferred Creators Across Multiple Platforms
Although many creators have a favorite social network, they typically operate across multiple platforms. While this isn't new, the difference now is that these creators have "super fans" who interact with them everywhere they appear.
This means that successful creators tend to have large audiences interacting seamlessly across their accounts. They aren't just Instagrammers or YouTubers, for example. Instead, they see themselves as specialist creators, showcasing their work to fans across the Web. And often, they will select the best platform for a purpose. 2. Influencers Will Become Critical to Many Affiliate Programs
Until recently, most people viewed influencer marketing and affiliate marketing as two different activities. But in reality, they are very much interrelated. Both activities involve an "outsider" promoting and encouraging their supporters to buy somebody's products. Indeed, one of the platforms, Refersion, already recognizes the connection and doubles as an affiliate and influencer platform. As our reviewer of that platform observed, "The line between affiliates and influencers is becoming increasingly blurred as influencer platforms integrate with e-commerce more and more, moving beyond simple 'awareness' campaigns to actually drive sales." 3. Continued Movement from Text and Images to Audio and Video Content
Bandwidth has improved worldwide in recent years. 5G is spreading across the globe, and fiber internet is commonplace in many countries. As a result, people are consuming more video and audio content nowadays. Creators on Twitch, YouTube, and even podcasts are becoming more influential.

  • My Million Dollar Morning Routine | Divij’s Den | Ep 35
My Million Dollar Morning Routine | Divij’s Den | Ep 35 A solid morning routine has long been the backbone of my self-care practice. As someone who deals with depression and anxiety, it makes a noticeable difference in my mental health (and I definitely feel an even bigger difference when I skip it). You don’t have to take my word for it, though. Therapists will be quick to tell you the mental health benefits of starting your day this way. “A healthy, low-stress, [and] focused morning routine sets the tone for the whole day,” clinical psychologist Ryan Howes, Ph.D., tells SELF.
It’s not just about being able to pat yourself on the back for following your routine like a Real Adult. Cementing some morning habits can make it easier to prioritize your mental and physical health throughout the rest of the day too. As soon as you wake up, every decision you make dips into your brain’s willpower reserves. The brain is an incredible organ, but even it has its limits, and there’s a lot of research out there that points toward our willpower being a limited resource. At some point, those reserves run dry, and it becomes a lot harder to turn down instant gratification, which may be why you find yourself skipping a cycling class you normally love after a long shitty day in favor of downing some wine at home. Of course, these willpower-depleting decisions are unavoidable; our lives are full of them. That’s where a good morning routine comes in. When we automate our mornings, we develop habits that soon feel second nature, says Howes, which may wind up cutting out some depleting activities like deciding what to eat or arguing with yourself about hitting the snooze button again. Personally, I’ve found I’m much more likely to make decisions that support my self-care and well-being when I haven’t spent the morning scrambling and stressed. Plus, a lot of activities you can include in your morning routine may be self-care all on their own.
So let’s talk about some of the things you might want to add to your morning routine. Everyone’s ideal morning routine will be different, so the suggestions on this list are meant to be starting points, not a step-by-step guide (especially because who would have time for this all???). A morning routine might also involve some creative maneuvering to implement (like waking up a little earlier to fit in some solo time before your kids wake up, or involving them in your routine somehow). Experiment with what works for you, and remember that the key is consistency. 1. Make your bed.
Yes, making your bed is technically a chore, but it can also be a deceptively simple and tiny way to make yourself feel good. The reasons are manifold: It goes a long way in making your space (and mind) less cluttered, it encourages good sleep hygiene (who doesn’t want to crawl into a freshly made bed at the end of the day?), and it might also do some surprising psychological work behind the scenes too.
    2. Nail a “getting ready” order.
Remember that decision fatigue we just talked about? It’s extremely applicable to getting ready in the morning. Most of us have that bucket of things we do every morning to prepare for the day (you know, getting dressed, brushing our teeth, etc.), but you might not have it down to an exact order yet. Maybe sometimes you jump straight from the shower to doing your hair while other days you lounge around in your towel scrolling through the morning news. 3. Put off checking your phone.
Every time we check our phones—especially after a long stretch of time away, like when we’re sleeping—we invite a flood of stimulation and bullshit into our brain space. For such a tiny device, your phone holds a lot of potential stressors, like news notifications, your bank-account balance, and texts that demand your attention right now. And for many of us, once we check our phones, we’re pretty much plugged in for the rest of the day. Why not delay that just a little bit?

  • What The Fuck Is Web3? My NFT, Crypto, and Influencer Marketing Moves In 2022 | Ep 34
What The Fuck Is Web3? My NFT, Crypto, and Influencer Marketing Moves In 2022 | Ep 34 Do you ever find yourself wondering, “What is Web3?” You’re not alone. The idea is having a moment, whether you’re measuring by VC funding, lobbying blitzes, or incomprehensible corporate announcements. But it can be hard to tell what all the hype is about.
To believers, Web3 represents the next phase of the internet and, perhaps, of organizing society. Web 1.0, the story goes, was the era of decentralized, open protocols, in which most online activity involved navigating to individual static webpages. Web 2.0, which we’re living through now, is the era of centralization, in which a huge share of communication and commerce takes place on closed platforms owned by a handful of super-powerful corporations—think Google, Facebook, Amazon—subject to the nominal control of centralized government regulators. Web3 is supposed to break the world free of that monopolistic control. At the most basic level, Web3 refers to a decentralized online ecosystem based on the blockchain. Platforms and apps built on Web3 won’t be owned by a central gatekeeper, but rather by users, who will earn their ownership stake by helping to develop and maintain those services.
Gavin Wood coined the term Web3 (originally Web 3.0) in 2014. At the time, he was fresh off of helping develop Ethereum, the cryptocurrency that is second only to Bitcoin in prominence and market size. Today he runs the Web3 Foundation, which supports decentralized technology projects, as well as Parity Technologies, a company focused on building blockchain infrastructure for Web3. Wood, who is based in Switzerland, spoke with me last week over video about where Web 2.0 went wrong, his vision of the future, and why we all need to be less trusting. The following interview is a transcript of our conversation, lightly edited for clarity and length. WIRED: As I understand it, the idea of Web3 at its most basic level is that the current setup, Web 2.0, is no good. So before we talk about what Web3 would entail, how would you describe the problems with the status quo?
Gavin Wood: I think the model for Web 2.0 was much the same as the model for society before the internet existed. If you go back 500 years, people basically just stuck to their little villages and townships. And they traded with people that they knew. And they relied on, broadly speaking, the social fabric, to ensure that expectations were credible, were likely to actually happen: These apples are not rotten, or this horseshoe doesn’t break after three weeks.
And that works reasonably well, because it’s difficult and very time-consuming and expensive to move between towns. So you have a reasonably high level of credibility that someone is going to stick around and they don't want to be exiled. But as society moved into something larger-scale, and we have cities and countries and international organizations, we moved on to this weird kind of brand reputation thing. We've created these powerful but regulated bodies, and the regulators, in principle, ensure that our expectations are met. There are certain statutory requirements that, to operate in a particular industry, you must fulfill. This is not a great solution, for a few reasons. One of them is, it's very hard to regulate new industries. The government is slow, it takes a while to catch up. Another is that regulators are imperfect. And especially when they work closely with the industry, oftentimes there's a bit of a revolving door relationship between the industry and the regulator.
Another is simply a regulatory body has very limited firepower. It's how much money the government puts into it. And so necessarily, regulation is going to be patchy. They will be able to regulate maybe the biggest offenders but they aren’t able to retain a really strong influence all the time everywhere. And of course, the regulators and the laws differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Four days after going under the knife, she revealed her post-op forehead, explaining that her hairline was shaved and will grow back over the scar
Shared information about the procedure on TikTok, where her videos went viral A woman who hid her big forehead underneath a fringe has spent $6,958 (£5,000) on a surgery to reduce it by 3cm.
Camilla Coleman Brooks, 26, from North Carolina, spent years with a fringe to disguise her 8.5cm forehead. The average female forehead is around 6cm in the US. The two-and-a-half hour operation moved her hairline, and reduced the size of her forehead by 3cm.
An incision was made along the marked area of the forehead and hairline and the surgeon carefully cut out the area marked for removal before joining the top incision with the forehead incision. 'I used to look in the mirror and all I would see was a huge forehead,' explained Camilla. 'When I was younger I would always style my hair and notice how big it looked.
'For the last few years I've hid it under a fringe or a hat. I am so happy with the results now that I've had the surgery.
'I didn't need the procedure to make me happy, but I love how I now look.'
Camilla used to hide her forehead underneath hats and fringes and felt incredibly self-conscious about it.
'No one really bullied me for it but it was something I didn't like,' she said. 'Having surgery was something I wanted to do for myself. It wasn't that I didn't like how I looked, I just wanted to be more proportional.'She underwent surgery in February 2021 at Zeeba Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, which involved removing skin from her forehead to decrease it in size.
'My forehead used to be 8.5cm and now it is 5.5cm,' she said. 'It's an amazing difference.'
Camilla had to wear a bandage for a few days after the surgery and has a scar and swelling from the incision. The model has received some negative comments from her decision to have surgery but stands by having the operation.
'It's my body,' she said. 'I think people are so shocked by it because it is something they haven't heard of.'
She is open with her children Owen, four, and Dorian, seven, and believes that we should be able to do what we want with our bodies.
