  • Biggest Business Lessons From 2021 | Divij’s Den | Ep 32
Biggest Business Lessons From 2021 | Divij’s Den | Ep 32 I found five key takeaways that apply not only to operating a business under pandemic guidelines but also to moving forward.
    1. People Are At The Heart
This first takeaway seems so obvious. After all, we rely on people to work in our businesses. We wouldn’t even have a business to operate if we didn’t have people to serve. The more we can position ourselves to care for the people who make up our teams, our vendors, our suppliers and our communities, the more our businesses benefit.
When we truly care for people, it shows in everything that we do. Likewise, people want to support those who support them. As a result, making people a priority in your business tends to pay off. One example that I always like to point to is Chick-fil-A. The company treats its employees well and provides them with great benefits. As a result, it seems to attract the best and brightest in its industry. Just as they do for their team members, Chick-fil-A franchisees often go above and beyond for their patrons and the communities they serve. When you combine this culture of caring for people with a consistently great product, the results are apparent.
    2. Cash Is King
I have often spoken of the importance of keeping cash in reserve. Many business owners keep a personal emergency fund in their savings accounts. Usually, this is about three to six months’ worth of their monthly expenses. However, if we understand the importance of having a financial safety net within our own lives, why do so many of us neglect it in our businesses?
Last year is a perfect example of why we need to have cash beyond our normal operating cash flow. Having enough cash on hand to weather any crisis for at least three to six months could determine whether your business makes it. In fact, it could even be the difference between whether it thrives or merely survives. If you don’t have a cash reserve built up for your business, make this a priority.
    3. Ensure That You’re Scalable
Typically, the organizations that really thrived during 2020 were those that were scalable. I’ve often touted the benefits of scalability, and last year provided us with a prime example of the need for it in our businesses. When businesses are scalable, they can quickly change to meet the level of demand. They have extremely high levels of efficiency and can expand or decrease their output through creative scheduling or by hiring just a few more people. However, a pandemic isn’t the only reason business owners should strive to make their companies scalable. A scalable business typically has greater value to prospective investors and buyers. This is because scalable businesses, from what I’ve seen, are usually not reliant on their owners to coordinate their daily operations, and they have proven systems in place that enable them to be easily duplicated.
Ray Kroc recognized the value of scalability and became one of the most successful restaurant franchisers of all time.
    4. Technology Is The Future Of Business
Whether you love it or hate it, you might as well embrace it. Technology is the future of business. Over the past year, we’ve seen drastic increases in the remote workforce, e-commerce and digital marketing. In fact, with 42% of the U.S. labor force working from home full time, 2020 showed us that the traditional brick-and-mortar office space isn’t as necessary as it once was.
U.S. consumers produced the largest online shopping day in history on Cyber Monday 2020, spending an incredible $10.8 billion. With numbers like this, it’s no wonder that many businesses invested more in digital ad spending — particularly social media and paid search — last year. Businesses that embrace technology place themselves in the best position to capitalize on this growing share of the market.

  • TIKTOK STAR ELLIOTT NORRIS SPEAKS ON DAVE CHAPPELLE | Divij’s Den | Ep 30
TIKTOK STAR ELLIOTT NORRIS SPEAKS ON DAVE CHAPPELLE | Divij’s Den | Ep 30 Dave Chappelle's latest Netflix special may have attracted a barrage of criticism from the LGBTQ community, but there is another group that he has offended that no one mentions:
The long list of iconic Black comics who affirmed gender nonconforming people or were members of the LGBTQ community themselves.
Richard Pryor was bisexual and raised money for a gay rights organization. Moms Mabley,' who was the first Black female standup comic to go mainstream, was a lesbian.
Cross-dressing Black men have created some of the enduring comic characters in Black comic history, from comedian's Flip Wilson's sassy "The Devil Made Me Do it" character of "Geraldine" to Tyler Perry's "Madea."
Black comics have indeed peddled their fair share of harmful stereotypes about LGBTQ people. Eddie Murphy, for example, unleashed a blistering series of homophobic slurs in his early standup routines -- performances for which he's since apologized. But the stage has been one of those few places in the Black community where LGBTQ members had some measure of freedom to be themselves -- or to escape the cruelty they faced in the outside world. Chappelle has taken some of that space away.
"There's a long tradition of trans and non-gender conforming performers in our history, from the Harlem Renaissance throughout our performing history,'' says Marlon M. Bailey, author of "Butch Queens Up in Pumps: Gender, Performance, and Ballroom Culture in Detroit."
This is what gets lost in the controversy over Chappelle's comments in his latest standup film, "The Closer." Much of the attention has focused on the content of his jokes. Chappelle joked about trans women's genitalia and told a story about beating up a lesbian woman. And then there's the fallout. Netflix employees and supporters demonstrated Wednesday to protest the streaming company's reaction to complaints. GLAAD, the LGBTQ media advocacy organization, also condemned Chappelle's comments in "The Closer."
It's easy, though, to forget with all the focus on Chappelle that there were Black comedians who took big risks to affirm LGBTQ people, and to be honest about their own sexuality. There is a generation of moviegoers who only know him through the insipid Hollywood movies he starred in like "The Toy." But Pryor was a different performer on the comic standup stage: fearless, unpredictable, profane. And honest about his bisexuality.
In 1977, Pryor headlined a gay rights fundraiser where he talked on stage about enjoying sex with a man. Pryor's bisexuality was well-known among his friends, though some who were close to him still deny that he was gay.
Moms Mabley, another Black comic great, was so open about her sexual identity that she was known as "Mr. Moms" off the stage, some say.
Other Black performers like entertainer and actress, Josephine Baker, who was dubbed a "radical bisexual performer and activist, and Ma Rainey, the blues singer dubbed the "Mother of the Blues," upended gender tropes. Rainey sang openly about lesbian relationships and cross-dressing in the early 20th century when homosexuality was seen as a form of mental illness. In her 1928 song, "Prove it on Me Blues," she sang:
"I went out last night with a crowd of my friends,
It must've been women, 'cause I don't like no men.
Wear my clothes just like a fan,
Talk to the gals just like any old man."
    From Geraldine' to RuPaul
Chappelle may have problems with trans women, but Black audiences have traditionally embraced Black male comics who create gender bending characters in dresses.
And so do many contemporary Black male comics. It's almost a rite of passage for a Black male comic to create a female persona or stage character. The entertainer and author Tyler Perry built his entertainment empire on the ample bosom of "Madea," the down-home, wise-cracking Black matriarch. RuPaul has a huge following.

  • ASTROWORLD TRAGEDY & JAY Z CLEARED IN $67 MILLION LAWSUIT | Divij’s Den | Ep 29
ASTROWORLD TRAGEDY & JAY Z CLEARED IN $67 MILLION LAWSUIT | Divij’s Den | Ep 29 Houston police chief debunks rumor about Astroworld security guard, who says he was not drugged but was hit on the head The investigation into the deadly tragedy at the Astroworld music festival could "take weeks, possibly months," Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said Wednesday.
Calling for public officials to refrain from speculation, Finner said investigators were focused on "timelines," noting that festival organizers were informed that police were conducting CPR on victims while the show was still going.
In a subsequent statement to the press, Finner said he meant to add that "it was at that time our HPD personnel told personnel in charge of the event to shut down the performance."
Speaking Monday, Finner also debunked an early, viral rumor that — one he himself had amplified: that a security guard had been "pricked" with an unknown substance prior to the "mass casualty event."We did locate that security guard," Finner said. "His story is not consistent with that. He said he was struck in his head and went unconscious."
"He said no one injected drugs in him, so we want to clear that part up," he added.
Finner had earlier in the week asserted that medical staff had detected "a prick" in a guard's neck similar to one that "you would get if somebody was trying to inject."Finner said investigators had concluded there were "two mosh pits" near the stage.
A security planning document from festival organizer Scoremore indicates that employees were instructed to prepare for a number of emergency scenarios — but not the possibility of a stampede.
The Houston police and fire departments were both involved in the security planning for the festival, the Associated Press reported, with Chief Finner revealing this week that he had met with Scott himself before the fatal episode to discuss safety concerns.
In a testy exchange with reporters on Wednesday, Finner said that to him did not constitute a "special relationship" with the star. HOUSTON — Panic and then desperation spread through the crowd of 50,000 mostly young people just as the popular hometown rapper they had come to see, Travis Scott, took the stage Friday night. It came like a wave, an unstoppable movement of bodies that could not be held back.
Some collapsed. Others fought for air. Concertgoers lifted up the unconscious bodies of friends and strangers and surfed them over the top of the crowd, hoping to send them to safety. Others shouted out for help with CPR and pleaded for the concert to stop.
    It kept going.
In the end, eight people died, ranging in age from 14 to 27, according to city officials. Hundreds more were treated for injuries at a field hospital at the concert venue, the NRG Park in Houston, or at local hospitals. Among those treated at a hospital was a 10-year-old child. The event appeared to be one of the deadliest crowd-control disasters at a concert in the United States in many years. Similar episodes have occurred at venues around the world, during performances of all genres of music, including an electronic dance music festival Germany in 2010 at which 18 people were trapped and crushed, and a 1979 Who concert in Cincinnati where 11 people died as concertgoers rushed the entrance. But the deaths in Houston had a particularly devastating impact at a time when the rapture of live events was being felt following months of pandemic restrictions.
“Young people with bright futures — those were the people who were at the event,” said Lina Hidalgo, the top executive for Harris County, which includes Houston.
She and other officials at an afternoon news conference struggled to explain what had taken place the night before. “Perhaps the plans were inadequate, perhaps the plans were good but they weren’t followed, perhaps it was something else entirely,” she said, calling for an independent investigation.

TikTok is one of the newest social media platforms and despite having gotten its start in 2016 (more than four years ago), 2020 was a banner year for the platform. As a global pandemic kept people indoors and away from their friends, Tiktok skyrocketed in popularity. And it seems the novelty of the platform hasn't worn off. In fact, as the platform continues to grow, the user base continues to include users outside of the platform’s target Gen Z demographic, first expanding to Millennials and then becoming increasingly popular among Gen X and Boomers (though the Gen Z and Millennial bases are still the most represented).

    Identify Your Target Audience
One of the most important things to do if you want to grow your TikTok followers is to identify your target audience. Like other social media platforms, TikTok users cover multiple demographics, locations, and niches. The type of content that works well for one group might not resonate with another group. So, before you start creating a TikTok marketing or TikTok influencer strategy, it's important to find out what your target audience is doing on the platform.

Mental Health Is The Answer To EVERYTHING | Divij’s Den | Ep 27 On today’s podcast we talk about mental health, our experiences dealing with mental health issues, and things we do every day to help improve our mental health. What Is Mental Health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
Over the course of your life, if you experience mental health problems, your thinking, mood, and behavior could be affected. Many factors contribute to mental health problems, including:
Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry
Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse
Family history of mental health problems
Mental health problems are common but help is available. People with mental health problems can get better and many recover completely.
    Early Warning Signs
Not sure if you or someone you know is living with mental health problems? Experiencing one or more of the following feelings or behaviors can be an early warning sign of a problem:
Eating or sleeping too much or too little
Pulling away from people and usual activities
    Having low or no energy
Feeling numb or like nothing matters
    Having unexplained aches and pains
    Feeling helpless or hopeless
Smoking, drinking, or using drugs more than usual
Feeling unusually confused, forgetful, on edge, angry, upset, worried, or scared

Experiencing severe mood swings that cause problems in relationships
Having persistent thoughts and memories you can't get out of your head

    Mental Health and Wellness
Positive mental health allows people to:
    Realize their full potential
Cope with the stresses of life
    Work productively
Make meaningful contributions to their communities
Ways to maintain positive mental health include:
Getting professional help if you need it
    Connecting with others
    Staying positive
    Getting physically active
    Helping others
    Getting enough sleep
Developing coping skills Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-being. It is all about how people think, feel, and behave. People sometimes use the term “mental health” to mean the absence of a mental disorder.
Mental health can affect daily living, relationships, and physical health.
However, this link also works in the other direction. Factors in people’s lives, interpersonal connections, and physical factors can all contribute to mental health disruptions.
Looking after mental health can preserve a person’s ability to enjoy life. Doing this involves reaching a balance between life activities, responsibilities, and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. Conditions such as stress, depression, and anxiety can all affect mental health and disrupt a person’s routine.
Although the term mental health is in common use, many conditions that doctors recognize as psychological disorders have physical roots.
In this article, we explain what people mean by mental health and mental illness. We also describe the most common types of mental disorders, including their early signs and how to treat them.

  • ERIC PRIEST Punches People In The Face For A Living | Divij’s Den | Ep 26
ERIC PRIEST Punches People In The Face For A Living | Divij’s Den | Ep 26 Eric Priest - An Athlete on the RISE
With fists as fast as his knockouts, Korean American professional boxer Eric Priest’s record and reputation are generating buzz. “Eric is fast, damn fast,” says Justin Fortune, former heavyweight and strength coach to Manny Pacquiao. “And he can crack—hard. That combined with his mental toughness—this kid’s a contender, a real contender.”
From a young age, Eric had a formidable coach: his father, a former memeber in the United States Navy Special Operations. Eric was trained and competed extensively from age 10 in a mix of combat sports from boxing to ju jitsu. Upon winning, at the age of 18, the coveted Kansas Golden Gloves title in the elite men’s division, Eric’s focus turned exclusively to boxing. Following the Golden Gloves win, Justin Fortune sought the young middleweight out and signed on as his main coach. Both Fortune and Priest share a passion for technique, speed and agility. The pairing has proven to be a serendipitous fit.
Priest kicked off his professional career in February 2020 with a win by second round knockout. When Priest knocked his second opponent out in less than two minutes (in August 2020), he cemented his status as a calculated pressure fighter. Priest got his third victory in December of 2020, all three wins coming by way of knockout within the first two rounds. Recently, Priest brought home his fourth victory in a dominate performance against a fighter who had never been stopped before.
On September 25th, Priest is yet again to face another slick southpaw from the East Coast. This fight is set to take place in South Carolina. THE FUTURE OF BOXING
At age 22, Eric Priest is already set to change the face of boxing. Already having signed a multi-year deal with Adidas as an offical athlete and signed with one of the worlds largest modeling agencies Wilhelmina Models. Three wins by knockout, undefeated record, backed by one of the best coaches in the game, a large and growing fan base (online and via broadcast) and a solid education (at the University of Kansas), the proud Korean American is a fresh face that the world will be hearing more about—in and out of the ring.
“My dream is to make Korean Americans proud,” Eric says. “As an athlete, my goal is to be a world champion one day and to be a role model for younger generations. I’m on a mission to bring something new to this sport.”Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has confirmed he will return to the boxing ring in February 2022.
Iron Mike, the boxing Hall of Famer who turns 56 next June, is rumoured to be facing YouTuber-turned boxer, Logan Paul. “I am going to have a return fight in February and we are pretty sceptical about the opponent, but it will be a really stimulating opponent,” he said.
When asked previously if he would face either Paul brother – Jake or Logan – Tyson suggested that the money would be too good to resist. Yes. Hell, I would fight them. They would fight me. That would make a lot of money. Hundred million dollars, they do anything, they don’t mind getting beat up for a hundred million dollars.”
However, in the past few months, Tyson has become pretty close with the younger Paul brother, Jake. “My family loves Jake Paul. So f***ing easy (I would knock him out). Yeah, but I never would,” he said on the Full Send Podcast earlier this month.
“I would be against my own f***ing family. They love this little white motherf***er. You know what I mean? He has f***ing balls.”
Logan Paul’s last outing saw him go the distance with all-time great Floyd Mayweather. Paul lasted the eight rounds and came out of the fight with way more credit than many were prepared to give him previously.
Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr to a draw after eight rounds in November 2020.

  • The SWAGBOYQ Interview | Divij’s Den Ep 25
On today’s episode of Divij’s Den, I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of the biggest TikTok creators in the world.. SwagboyQ. Who is SwagBoyQ?
SwagBoyQ is an American social-media star, who is famous for his pranks, challenges, comedy clips, and other videos on TikTok and YouTube. His was born in Honolulu but raised in Texas, which made him flexible to diverse cultures. Not much is known about his family or education. He has often been “kicked out” of major retail outlets, as those are the places he chooses to play pranks on people. His main aim in life is to spread joy through entertainment.
    Early Life & Family
SwagBoyQ was born on March 11, 1999, in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America. He was raised in Houston, Texas. His real name is Q Shamar Stenline.
Though he is a rising social-media celebrity, not much is known about his family, education, or dating life. Media reports state he is probably single, though it is possible that he does not wish to divulge much about his personal life to the media. Rise on Social Media
SwagBoyQ created his TikTok account, wagboyq, in September 2019. He is known for his entertaining lip-syncs, pranks, challenge videos, and sketch-comedy clips on the platform. Most of his videos have texts in them. His account on the platform has already gained more than 112.7 million likes and over 4.6 million fans.
In June 2020, he featured Australian reality TV star and social-media sensation Harry Jowsey of Too Hot to Handle and Heartbreak Island fame in one of his TikTok videos. One of his pranks involved masquerading as a bush on a sidewalk and surprising passers-by while recording their reactions.
He has his own channel on YouTube, titled SwagBoyQ. Launched on May 3, 2012, the channel has already gained 27.2 thousand subscribers and more than 397 thousand views. It hosts pranks, vlogs, and challenge videos.
SwagBoyQ’s Instagram account, swagboyq, has 265 thousand followers. Though he promotes his merchandise through the account, it is, surprisingly, a private account, unlike the accounts of other social-media stars of his age. This means, only people who follow him on Instagram will be able to view his content on the platform.
He is also available on Snapchat as TheSwagBoyQ. His brand of merchandise is available on the website swagboyq.com. It sells apparel and accessories geared toward the youth.
SwagBoyQ launched his official Twitter account, Theswagboyq, in April 2012. The profile has gained more than 30 thousand followers to date.
    SwagBoyQ as a Person
His fans are called the “ShwaggyGang.” He believes the gang is more of a family. He once said in an interview that his sole purpose in life is to put a smile on the faces of people who follow him, and he chooses entertainment to make the world a better place.
He loves nature and traveling. He believes the fact that he was born in Honolulu and raised in Houston has made him more receptive to the diverse aspects of his country. He plans to travel around the world and meet his fans someday.
In a January 2020 live session with The Hype Magazine, SwagBoyQ mentioned a lot of things about himself. He said he grew up watching comedians and actors such as Kevin Hart and aspired to be like them. However, he knew that he would have to work hard to get where these established actors were, in terms of fame. He thus decided to do something worthwhile to reach his goal.
He also joked about how he was “kicked out” of places such as Walmart, Target, and Foot Locker, as those were the venues he often chose for his pranks.
He even described how Walmart now keeps an eye on him whenever he visits any store in the country. However, he also mentioned how he feels lucky to be recognized by random people on the streets, in malls, and elsewhere, who come up to him for autographs and selfies. Thus, he believes social-media fame has both positives and negatives.

FBOY Island, or FBoy Island, is an American dating reality television series which focuses on three women trying to identify twenty-four men as either womanizers or seeking a serious relationship. The series is hosted by Nikki Glaser and premiered on July 29, 2021, on HBO Max. In August 2021, the series was renewed for a second season.[1] Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, the show centers on three female contestants and twenty-four male counterparts.[2] Of the men, twelve are self-professed nice guys, while the other half identify as fboys, the former being interested in forming a relationship, while the latter are competing[3] for a cash prize of $100,000 to any contestants that remain at the end.[4] During the progression of each episode the women select men to go out with,[5] all ranging between the ages of 22 to 35,[6] with the ending of the episode consisting of three men being chosen to be eliminated and afterwards revealing if they are a philanderer or not.[5] The fboys, sometimes also called Lotharios, that are eliminated are sent to "Limbro", consisting of huts made from bamboo, cots and hay-filled pillows, while the nice guys are sent in a limousine to a mansion called "Nice Guy Grotto."[7][8][9] At some point in the first half of the series, the remaining male contestants reveal their own labels to the women and audience.[9] During the complete run of the show, only the abbreviated form, fboy, is used by the contestants and host.[10]
Apart from being entertainment, creator Elan Gale has stated that the show's alternative purpose is "to try to see if people can change for the right person,"[11] with the playboys becoming better partners and the "nice guys" getting recognition for their personality.[5] HBO Max's first reality television dating show[6] was created by The Bachelor producer Elan Gale and showrun by Sam Dean, who also worked another HBO Max production, 12 Dates of Christmas. [5][11] Host Nikki Glaser also serves as an executive producer,[12] as do Ben Bitoni, Sam Dean, Elan Gale and Jason Goldberg.[13][14] The title comes from the slang term fuck boy, used to refer to a male womanizer, while the decision to abbreviate the term reflected the intention to make the show family-friendly.[11] For her part, Glaser changed the meaning of fboy to mean "fragile boy", explaining that they have low self-esteem and therefore lack care towards women.[15] The series was filmed in the Cayman Islands, in part due to "its low number of COVID-19 cases" with the cast having to arrive at Grand Cayman[16] fourteen days before shooting commenced on March 2021 to quarantine and be tested for COVID-19 on alternate days till April.[17] HBO Max marketed it as a "a social experiment that asks the age-old question: Can FBoys truly reform or do Nice Guys always finish last?"[18] It premiered on the streaming service on July 29, 2021, with the simultaneous release of its first three episodes,[3] followed every Thursday at midnight,[19] with another three being released on August 5 and the final four on August 12.[6][20] Upon release, it became the streaming service's most-watched reality program.[14] On August 18, 2021, HBO Max renewed the series for a second season.[1] Salon.com's Kylie Chung called the show "highly self-aware and entertainingly self-deprecating," while pointing out its central theme of "couple goals", when the female contestants choose their partners.[12] In a separate Salon.com review Melanie McFarland commented that the show "flaunts its identity as the messy, issues-burdened lovechild of dating app culture as brightly as a neon wristband,"

  • LOS ANGELES IS THE WORST PLACE TO FALL IN LOVE….. | Divij’s Den | Ep. 23
Dating Girls In LA….. | Divij’s Den | Ep. 23 8 Truths About Dating in Los Angeles No One Ever Bothered to Tell You
FEBRUARY 13, 2015 BY ASHLEY LYUBLINSKY
Los Angeles is full of single people. So why is it that you keep asking yourself, “Where they at?”
No matter how hard you try you just can’t seem to connect with anyone in a meaningful long term sense. Trust me, you’re not alone in this. Yet maybe there’s a better way.
Dating is a headache to begin with, but if you understand the city you’re living in, it might make things a little clearer for you when you get in the game. So let’s take a look at some of the essential dating truths about L.A. that, if you fully grasp, might make these treacherous waters just a tiny bit easier to navigate.
And even if you don’t follow the advice I’ve laid out below, at least we can all commiserate about the agonies of being single in the city of angels.
    Either way, right?
    1. Location is Key
Scenario: You’re chatting up a cute potential love interest and hitting things off oh so well, but then comes the dreaded question “So where in L.A. do you live?”. It’s just an unspoken rule that if said love interest does not live within a 5 mile radius, this relationship is over.
Truth is: Long distance relationships are hard work, and that sometimes means having to say bye to that cutie from Santa Monica. 2. You Already Date Your Car
Living in Los Angeles means a lot of driving. I mean you can certainly count that cute guy/girl flirting with you as you inch across the 10, but once they meet their exit, it’s back to being alone. You spend a good portion in your car so I’m sure you’ve asked yourself, “How am I ever suppose to meet someone?”.
Truth is: You still can! Just need to open to more random of meetings when you finally get out of your car. 3. Star F*ckers Really Do Exisit (Don’t Be One)
Living in L.A., by now you should know at least ONE person who has hooked up with someone kind of sort of famous. In fact some people are actually out there actively seeking celebrity hook-ups, giving themselves bonus points for the varying classes of their bedmates (movie star, television star, reality… thing).
Truth is: Try not to brag about hooking up with a famous person unless they are actually famous. Disney Chanel stars do not count. Chances are that no one will know who they are, unless it’s your younger cousin. 4. Beware: “In the Industry”
Just like the above, chances are high that you have dated or will date someone “in the industry” while living in L.A. This term gets thrown around a lot and mainly covers actors, camera guys, screen- writers, and the works who flock here to try and make it big. It’s just something that comes with the territory of Los Angeles.
Truth: This is not always a bad thing. Dates at industry events can be fun. BUT there is a high chance that work will always come before you do. So unless you can handle long periods on location and/or high flake potential, try to find someone else to date. Caveat emptor, as they say.
    5. Saving on Dating Costs IS Possible
Dating in L.A. doesn’t come cheap. With tons of awesome restaurants and bars to try, sometimes budgeting for dating can be hard. Outside activities make for great first dates as well. There are plenty of other ways you can date for cheap, such as 14 Cheap L.A. Date Ideas That Girls Will Love (aka Spend Less to Impress) or 15 Things To Do in Los Angeles for $15 or Less. 6. Hating on Couples is Pointless
Does it seem like everyone you know is in a relationship already, thereby decreasing your chances of meeting someone through your ‘couple’ friends? Los Angeles can sometimes seem like a city divided: one for the couples and one for the singles. Couples either either move here together or find each other way more quickly than you can find parking on your street. And once they pair up, God help you trying to horn in on their social time.
