Listen to Unbroke: (https://ffm.to/seunbroke)
About Ben Fuller:
Music has taken Ben Fuller’s life and made it into something he never would have dreamed. Ben grew up in Southern Vermont on his family dairy farm working along-side his father. He’d pass the time by singing to old classic country tunes as he witnessed first-hand the hard work and dedication it took to run a farm. The songs never stopped and somewhere between the farm and college, he picked up a guitar and never looked back.
Due to generations of hurt in his family, Ben struggled with certain aspects of growing up and turned to cocaine and alcohol at a young age. In 2015, Ben got involved in a devastating drug-fueled relationship which led him to understand better, the other side of addiction. In addition, come 2017, he abruptly lost his best friend to a heroin overdose and his entire outlook on life shifted.
Motivated to change, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career as a country singer in late 2018. A family Ben was close with invited him to church one Sunday and as he walked the halls into the auditorium filled with 3,000 people, he knew one day he would sing “that kind of music” for the rest of his life. Falling face first into his new-found relationship with Jesus, he began writing with a burning desire to share what God did to turn his life around. Today, Ben lives completely sober, while sharing his story filled with hope, mercy and grace. By turning his testimony into songs, he has been rejuvenated with a new passion and mission; to share his story with the world and all who are ready to listen.

This week on Diving in Deep, Sara Evans is joined by female country and R&B star, Tiera Kennedy! Tiera shares her journey about how she found her way to music and Nashville and how her path has evolved as an artist. She also tells Sara about what it was like to sing on Beyonce’s new record, Cowboy Carter. The two of them dive into family, faith, being a female in country music and so much more. Tune in to hear Sara and Tiera’s funny and inspiring conversation!
Listen to Unbroke: (https://ffm.to/seunbroke)
About Tiera Kennedy:
Rising singer/songwriter Tiera Kennedy is emerging as one of the most exciting voices in the format - injecting Country music with a breath of vitality. The Alabama native’s unique sound - an earnest storytelling-based country laced with the influence of the R&B she was raised on - stems from equal parts nature and nurture. She credits her celestial singing voice to God, while crediting her country music songwriting prowess to what organically flows from her pen. Lighting a fire with her independently released self-titled EP, Nashville Scene cited Tiera as "the total package" and "a writer who has learned how to write for their own voice at a young age," while American Songwriter concurs, hailing her as "one of Nashville's most promising young singer-songwriters." As she readies her forthcoming full-length debut album, Tiera delivers the project's lead single “I Ain’t A Cowgirl" on April 26th. Forthcoming album standouts only deepen that narrative, taking listeners on a journey through the process of finding oneself as a person and artist amidst the shotgun start of a career and the peaks and valleys that followed - all-the-while sonically maintaining that one-car-only lane niche Tiera’s carved for herself in country music due to her commitment to authenticity.

On this week’s episode of Diving In Deep Sara is joined by country artist Tenille Townes! Tenille shares how she ended up in Nashville and how music has played a role in her life from a very young age. She also discusses how her breakthrough as an artist was shaped by the events that occurred in 2020. The two share their thoughts on how the music industry has evolved throughout the years. Listen/watch this weeks episode to find out more about Tenille’s first live band performance at age 11, touring with Miranda Lambert, and so much more!
About Tenille Townes: Tenille Townes was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter earned accolades for her wise-beyond-her-years ballads before she moved to Nashville in 2013. After years of taking in sets at the Bluebird Café and pushing herself in writing sessions, she started winning over Music Row with the songs that would eventually shape her acoustic EP, Living Room Worktapes. Each track told a potent story: her buoyant voice soared over love songs like “White Horse” and “Where You Are” with their clever choruses, but “Jersey on the Wall (I’m Just Asking),” in which she questions her faith after a senseless tragedy, and “Somebody’s Daughter,” an empathetic look into the life of a stranger, proved she had the range to write through life’s most difficult challenges.
This week Sara is joined by her oldest child, Avery! Avery and Sara discuss how similar they are and take a walk down memory lane to when Avery would go on tour with Sara as a child. They also nerd out on some of their favorite records, guitarists, and drummers. Avery shares how his journey with music began and makes a big announcement in regards to the future of his musical endeavors! Tune in to hear more about Avery and Sara’s relationship, the Barker Family Band, and so much more!

About Bill Anderson:
Bill Anderson has been using that philosophy for over sixty years to capture the attention of millions of country music fans around the world, en route to becoming a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and one of the most popular, most enduring entertainers of our time. He’s known, in fact as “Whispering Bill,” a nickname hung on him years ago as a result of his breathy voice and his warm, soft approach to singing a country song. His credentials, however, shout his prominence: One of the most awarded songwriters in the history of country music, a million-selling recording artist many times over, television game show host, network soap opera star, author of four books, and a consummate onstage performer. His backup group, The Po’ Folks Band, has long been considered one of the finest instrumental and vocal groups in the business.
Bill Anderson was born in Columbia, South Carolina, but spent most of his growing-up years around Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism, having worked his way through college as a disc jockey on nearby radio stations. It was while he was still in school that he began performing and writing songs. At the age of nineteen, he composed the country classic, “City Lights,” and began rapidly carving his place in musical history.
He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, secured a recording contract with Decca Records, and began turning out hit after hit with songs like “Po’Folks,” “Mama Sang A Song,” “The Tips Of My Fingers,” “8X10,” and the unforgettable country and pop smash, “Still.” His compositions were recorded by such diverse musical talents as Ray Price, Porter Wagoner, James Brown, Debbie Reynolds, Ivory Joe Hunter, Kitty Wells, Faron Young, Lawrence Welk, Dean Martin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Aretha Franklin, Walter Brennan and many others.
Bill has been voted Songwriter Of The Year six times, Male Vocalist Of The Year, half of the Duet Of The Year with both Jan Howard and Mary Lou Turner, has hosted and starred in the Country Music Television Series Of The Year, seen his band voted Band Of The Year, and in 1975 was voted membership in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Ten years later, the State of Georgia honored him by choosing him as only the 7th living performer inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. In 1993, he was made a member of the Georgia Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame. In 1994, South Carolina inducted him into their Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame. And in 2001, he received the ultimate honor, membership in Nashville’s prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame.
Bill Anderson continues to paint a broad stroke across the Nashville music scene. He has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1961 and performs there regularly. He continues to write and to record, his latest release being vocal and instrumental versions of some of his best known songs, titled “Bill Anderson – The Hits Re-Imagined.”
On the personal side, Bill lives on Old Hickory Lake outside Nashville where he spends as much time as possible with his three children and eight grandchildren. He is a boater and sports enthusiast who has been known to adjust his work schedule to fit around a ball game he just “has to see.” He is an avid reader, his bookshelves lined with mysteries, biographies, books on religion, sports, and humor.
