Ms. Sievers represents LGBTQ individuals and their families. She works on family formation matters, including donor agreements, adoptions, and review of gestational carrier/surrogacy agreements. Ms. Sievers is also well-versed in divorce and dissolution issues for LGBTQ families, and recently won a landmark case in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals which established that Maryland will treat Vermont Civil Unions as marriages for purposes of divorce. Ms. Sievers also handles name change and gender change matters, as well as other transgender legal issues.

Ms. Sievers has been a guest lecturer for Hon. Mark F. Scurti’s Sexual Orientation and the Law course at the University of Baltimore. During law school, Ms. Sievers was President of the University of Maryland School of Law’s chapter of Law Students for Reproductive Justice and was a student board member of FreeState Justice (*formerly the FreeState Legal Project), where she has also been a volunteer attorney. Prior to attending law school, she taught elementary school as a Teach For America corps member in Charlotte, NC and served as a project assistant for a Washington-DC area consulting company.

Ms. Sievers is an active member of the Collaborative Project of Maryland.

Steven is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and a Series 65-licensed investment advisor concentrating in divorce settlement analysis. He graduated from Quinnipiac University where he concentrated in Legal Studies, while also being a part of the Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse Team.  While working toward his degree, he interned at the family law firm of Dalnekoff & Mason, P.A., where he assisted attorneys with a variety of family law matters. Steven is also collaboratively trained to be a financial neutral in the collaborative law system. 

Steven chose to focus his practice on divorce settlement analysis in light of personal experience. As he began his college career, his parents informed him they would be getting divorced. The process was highly litigious. It lasted four years, drained the family of resources, and inflicted a great deal of emotional pain on all involved.
