  • deep tech house - april 07
A selection of deeper tracks purchased through the first third of this year. I finally got a chance to spin then together over the Easter bank holiday. Apologies it’s taken a while to get it online.
Includes a few of my current favourites: the new mix of Ben Watt’s Lone cat and Lawnchair Generals’ You Got To, but also check out the moody strings of Les Violins Ivres, and the Trentemoller tune that sounds like it was penned for a 70s sci-fi TV show. Brillaint.

  • dirty electro house filth
I’ve got a handful of tracks lists sitting on the Mac waiting to be mixed and delivered to you... some have been sitting here since September...
First out of the bag, here’s something more filthy than usual. I’d hoped to get this sorted in time for Andrew’s birthday - lots of electro house dirt I hope he’ll appreciate.
It’s 80 mins long so should fit on a CD just fine :-) Enjoy.

additional note on 23/9/07 : just noticed this has ‘put your hands up for Detroit’ on it.

  • deep tech grooves
I’ve finally bitten the bullet and gone 100% digital. I don’t think I’m ditching vinyl just yet, but here’s my first Traktor session, mixed entirely onscreen, in the digital domain.
The mix is something I’ve been meaning to lay down for Matt for some time... the playlist has been sitting in iTunes for a few months. New and old tracks with a more laid back vibe; some instrumental, some vocal... enjoy.

  • chloe fashion show 06
Here’s a departure from the usual house sessions. I played a gig for French fashions house, Chloé, at Home House in London.
Chloé employed me as dj and music consultant for the evening, following distinct briefs for three parts of the night: before the show, the show itself, and the after party.
The attached audio is a short 20 minute mix from the fashion show. I recorded this the day after the party. I mixed it live on the night but a few of Chloé’s clients asked for a copy.
Gritty contemporary rock cut with hip hop beats and a couple of party faves. Many thanks to Fred and Warren from the Chloé boutique, Sloane Street.
