The one year old experiment is still continuing. What is the 1-yr old experiment anyway? This is where I try my best to NOT hold my wife accountable, or ask that she take extreme ownership. When the 1-yr old drops a glass, you don't scold them or make them clean it up. you simply remove them from the sharp objects and make them feel better about the wrong they did.  Rub their back, soothe them if they were scared from the sound of the breaking glass, and then you ensure they cannot get their hands on another glass to break it until they grow up and are ready to handle such a task.  In my case, and in my experiment, I treat my wife as a perpetual 1-yr old. Soothe her, make her feel pretty, fain impressed attitudes toward her.

I've got to remember she's a 1-year old mentally. So, asking her to understand accountability would be like asking a 1-year-old to do my taxes!  I'm frustrated by it all, because my wife IS an ADULT. She also has the capacity to understand.

This is the most childish thing I've ever done. I'm literally a bad guy when I do this to my loved ones.   I've done it a lot. I've pushed people away, and I've hurt them. this is one of my biggest flaws. I hope to keep working through this in my therapy sessions.

I've always 'felt like' a choice.  I've always felt like, "choose me" and I never really knew why.   Until she said that, "she always felt like she had to make a choice"  between people, and things, etc. I get it now. and i also understand myself better.   I WANT AND NEED TO BE NUMBER 1
