One of the most significant aspects of our current Women of the Bible series is that we don't just study the "good girls" of the Bible, but also those who made some cataclysmic mistakes so that we can LEARN from them! Today's lesson on Sapphira in Acts 5 is just such an example.
Someone once said, "Once the love of money takes possession of a person, there is no evil that he cannot or will not do." Sapphira and her husband Ananias loved money and were willing to lie to God and the church in order to hold onto it, all while seeming incredibly self-sacrificing.
Today's program allows us to examine the motivations behind not just our giving, but all of our acts of service. Do we do what we do to be seen by others, and to be applauded? This lesson also offers us a chance to explore if greed is part of our lives and how to weed it out.
Join me for Rinse and Repeat today, as we explore Sapphira in Acts 5!
