PART TWO - We start with Wendover taking out Mrs Wendover out to an Indian restaurant in Leeds named after the Jungle Book and then inspires how we are going to give away the Monkey Forest tickets! Greg was impressed with Leeds Ampadu and we ask does Rajovic need to change, or do we need to change to make the most of Rajovic? Greg concludes that sometimes you get beaten by the better team.

We’re joined by Pete suggests that Gino’s plans are an elaborate ground hopping attempt to tick off all the remaining stadiums visited of the 92 league clubs! He goes on to state that the plans of the management of the club are now outdated and unsurpassed by other clubs. Finally, Freddie Adu gets a mention (Peter was highly delighted!) and described as the original John Bostock! Pete asks if the ownership has learnt anything from his mistakes.

The Big Lebofski turns up with a list of subjects to go through!!! This includes nightclub advice in Leeds involving Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank! He concedes that Pete is correct and that drummers are not really musicians in the same way that goalkeepers aren’t really footballers.

The five-word review includes entirely new words never seen before and a strange 3 piece suite analogy.

Rich joins us very upset at the team performance and attitude displayed by the Hornets up in Yorkshire, Neil observes that Ismael does have a “plan B” switching to 3-5-2 at halftime but sees the silly goals given away but eulogises over the third Leeds goal as a well-crafted goal, We discuss what is the expectation for this squad from the fans and more importantly within the club itself.

Uncle Ron joins and, on request, pulls out some positives including effort and heart but moves on to criticise the regime but back the manager and even say he is “overachieving” with what he is working with. Tim phones in from the M1 southbound having been Elland Road and echoes Ron’s thoughts wanting to see more pride in the shirt. Seeing Bachmann’s much praised performance as “just doing his job” – he wants to see more cohesion feeling the QPR and Birmingham wins are the outliers in terms of performance.

Pete talks about Hornet fan Mark O’Brien attempting a world record effort for Motor Neurone Disease Charities a disease he suffers with. We salute you sir.

Boyd comes on having been pleased with elements of the season until today and asks questions of the squad and their individual performances.

Part Two

Charlie suggests maybe we should stop comparing to last season now and instead start looking forward, he questions if we look well coached throughout the entire team and performance pointing out our deficiencies in attacking areas in terms of creating chances, preferring instead to pass backward and cause our own problems in defence.

Greg makes a really good debut call, based in the West Midlands, and married to a Baggies fan he bemoans Ngakia and Morris’s performances with Leeds coming up at the weekend. Concerned at our defensive fragility he counters that the Baggies fans near him concerns about Ismael have been disproved and would like to have seen Livermore or Kayembe bought in for Porteous with Sierralta dropping rather than bringing on a nervous looking Pollock.

Danny joins (with Becky driving) and review a mixed bag of game and rues the Kone chance to make it 3-2 but review his performance and agree his energy and willingness to go forward see him favoured to start again vs Leeds. We agree that overall Bachmann was a force for good (but we reserve the right to have a look at the free kick).

For a drier climate we join Vinnie in Dallas and explore watching the game whilst working Bemoaning the mistakes that cost us goals and ultimately points, Vinnie is still enthused with the football we are playing, and we discuss Rajovic’s XG vs his goals (Pete reaches the end of his knowledge of statistics at this point and starts talking about blowing up the old Dallas Cowboys stadium instead.

Louis finishes off the evening excited to find out about new travel options from Watford to Clapham and thinks Bachmann could have done better with the free kick but asks about our fullbacks pushing into midfield and asks – does it work? Enjoying the spectacle of the first half he also asks about the bad quality of distribution of the WBA keeper – perhaps Bachmann’s distribution isn’t SO bad in comparison?

We go through the 5 word review and long form reviews as ever with some great comments and observations that offer a barometer of the game issues and opportunities by themselves.

The Big Lebofski pops his “Bunker Cherry”, Wendover is described as both sartorial and ill fitting, Alfie Bumface sorts of make an appearance. We talk about the good, the bad and the ugly unforced errors! Some people think we played well, and others see the tempo as missing and the defensive errors that lead to opposition goals as infuriating! Sean asks if we are too hesitant prioritising possession over creativity. He considers the starting fullback selection and the lack of crossing to be the deciding factors.

The second half (some will see what we have done there) of RichWFC2's call concentrates on the game and focus on the result but also the performance positives and negatives and asks what are the Watford team at the moment? After a game that looked like we wouldn’t score until the last knockings before exploring with Pete if Luton have yet got a point – it transpires that they have not! Who knew?!?

Danny and Mrs Danny join us driving home and collectively campaign for one of the subs to start the next game, love the collective spirit of the team and the impact of ALL of the subs but would like to see us be a little more direct than we were in the first 80 minutes.

Ellie comes on and tells us how she celebrated at Colney Heath when Ryan Andrews scored! She then makes a good call about supporting our local non-league sides and appreciating the differences between the different levels of football.

Ant joins us with his own match selected entrance music and calls for Martins to be passed to quicker and kept on for longer and implores the team to get more shots away when we have so much possession.

Steve and (very briefly Mal) join us from the road hoping for a shorter trip back but very happy to have finally got the win, Charlie joins us to go through both the pro’s and the con’s of the performance but really wanting to see a complete 90 minutes from Martins, Carlos returns from holiday with heart stopping tales of Pina Colada’s, Mike joins us to ensure that we know he will be consoling his Birmingham supporting friends (which is a very nice thing to do!)

Paul tells us of the story of his “Ruddy Redemption”, before Uncle Ron joins us to confirm a good result but not enjoying the game and hoping that Jamal Lewis’s promising first outing will the loanee keep out James Morris who Ron doesn’t believe is up to Championship football.

Chatting Blues joins us feeling that Luton supporting Keith Stroud was harsh on them with 7 bookings and sending off (to yellow) as opposed to one for Watford despite a fairly even foul count.

Wendover joins to point out that the types of fouls made by the visitors justified the bookings but wants to see Watford moving the ball quicker in transition but very happy with the result and the fact that he is having a Chinese takeaway this evening.

We hear from Richard a tale about the game but also about his and his family issues with the new bag size limit and the way it was enforced. The discussion moves on to his nephew’s experience as with all young supporters and ensuring that the experience is a positive one. RichWFC2 joins us having spoken positively with Luther about his latest appointment and encouraging Richard to contact him with his tale in the hope that things could be improved in the long term. Fingers crossed.
