Episode 4-339 – Do Your Disagreements Lead to Breakthrough?
Addressing disagreements can be challenging. And How we fight or go about the business of resolution matters? Do you stick with the objective facts? Do you bring up the past or focus on the issue at hand?
What we dedicate time to resolve also matters? What really matters, are we working on something that will move us forward, something that aligns with our values? Do you maintain contact with the goal. Are you able to agree to disagree and let go?
Ask if this is a disagreement that will lead to breakthrough or necessary change and proceed accordingly. If it is a difference of opinion, know when it is time to move on.

Episode 4-337: You’re Responsible – No One Owes You Something for Nothing
Who owes you something for nothing? – no one. You must be willing to do what it takes to get what you want. You must be willing to put in what it takes. This doesn’t mean you will not receive help along the way, but it does mean that you must be the one putting forth the effort, regardless of how your personal circumstances may vary from those of others.
Perhaps you are not sure what to do. Ask! And once you get an answer and put it through a critical process of review, take action. Action may mean more investigation, action may mean solid next step forward to gain experience needed or to position yourself to move in the direction of your goal.
Find ways to stretch and grow. Like stretching your body, when we stretch our minds and challenge ourselves to learn more and do more, it can help us to grow in ability and knowledge.
Figure out what things you need to move on from. Is there something you need to let go in order to move forward? Letting go of something that provided you a sense of security can be scary – but it may be necessary to learn new ways of doing things more effectively.
The bottom line is that you are responsible for making your way in life and for managing the circumstance of life that are unique to you. When you take initial and consistent action, it will allow you to better manager the responsibility you have for your life circumstances. This is also something to keep in mind when we attempt to help others. When people are willing to help themselves, it likely bodes well for them to benefit from the help of others.
I think understanding our personal responsibility for managing our path forward, is an initial key to life fulfillment.

Episode 4-335: Monday Motivation: Spoiler Alert – It’s Imperfect
A really fun memory I recall is a day gone bad that was perfect. I was on a trip with my husband and it was a warm summer day in Reno, California. We had decided to take public transit from our hotel to check out a nearby mall. We enjoyed the day, window shopping, and we found an old fashioned spinning top toy that we bought to bring home to our young son. On our way back, we had not considered there could be a downpour of rain on this hot sunny day, but it began to pour. The nearest bust stop to our hotel was not that close. And so with bags in tow, and our summer clothes, we grabbed some newspapers and dashed underneath awnings as we made our way back to the hotel. We laughed at the circumstances and our “solution.” Things had definitely not gone
So, while it may be a spoiler alert that life will be full of what might be considered imperfections – the reality is you can choose to see your life as the perfect path for your future and enjoy it along the way. I am so glad I have the memory of dashing through the rain and laughing that summer day…and that I can now

Episode 4-334: Are you really ready for it?
We can often get impatient for our hopes and dreams. It’s healthy to have dreams and goals. It’s natural to want to progress. Let’s pause for a moment to
The past few years we have all had a lot of change that we’ve managed. Sometimes it may have felt like it was overwhelming and that was because we did not feel prepared to manage it. Other things seemed difficult, yet manageable, and still other things felt easily manageable because we had experience that allowed us to easily resolve the matter.
The thing I’ve really taken to heart and that I’d like you to think about is that sometimes we may not be quite ready for the things we want. We’ve all heard the stories of the lottery winners that end up broke not long after winning big jackpots. We’ve seen some people fall and fail to get up, we’ve seen others fall that are able to get up. What is the difference, it is that they learned along the way – they learned to get back up and they learned what was needed to keep on keeping on and they can continue to build upon that. I sometimes wonder about people who win on gameshows, but don’t have the means to pay the taxes on the items they have won – it was something that was good, but that they were unprepared to manage. Keeping all this in mind should not discourage us from our goal, rather it should encourage us for the learning along the journey that is our life. All of that learning will help us to better manage the responsibility that comes with our future, if we allow ourselves to learn the lessons of life that we can build upon.
I think when we recognize that our present is preparation for our future, we can live fulfilled as we great the benefit, growth, and momentum that is in each day.

Episode 4-333: Self Awareness
There was recently a great article on self-awareness published by the Harvard Business Review. The article reported that although 95% of people think they’re self-aware, only 10 to 15% actually are.
I found that that to be a really interesting statistic! And perhaps not so coincidentally, it aligns with a topic I thought was important to share.
