We realize there's a lot of stress and uncertainty out there right now so hopefully this episode helps bring a little levity to a pretty heavy situation for us all.
The Service Industry is kinda f*cked right now. But even though there's plenty to be stressed out about, there's plenty to appreciate. A few restaurants are pivoting in very creative and interesting ways and we want to shout them out. We also get real about what this may mean for the hairdressing industry and our own work life.

Taylor and Adrian tried to avoid it at all costs but everyone in their day-to-day lives was asking "are you watching Love is Blind?", so they finally caved and watched the latest viral sensation on Netflix. Was it good? Was it bad? Was it BOTH? Listen to find out.
NOTE: This episode is NOT spoiler free as we discuss the general premise of the show but give away a few major reveals. If you haven't watched, but plan to, hold off on listening until you're done. But, if you're not watching and don't plan to, we've included plenty of context around the show's premise, cast, and ideas for you to enjoy.

Taylor and Adrian switch their recording setup and it causes nothing but problems.
This week we’re talking about all the mediocre restaurants we’ve been hitting. It’s a lot. This week Adrian gets mansplaining DM’s about how and why she should send a steak back, we push around a plate of overcooked food in an empty restaurant, and we discuss the places we’ve taken for granted.
We watched The Morning Show and think AppleTV+ might be the Aldi of streaming services. So, naturally, we discuss grocery stores.
And, Taylor goes to the doctor. We discuss how being in the service industry effects how we approach things when we’re a nervous customer, client, or patient.
Last, we’ve got listener emails! Cate lets us know about a Competition Show we might have missed and Mike emails about Taylor’s dog poop etiquette.

This week Taylor and Adrian tackle the hot take du jour: reclining airline seats!
But first, we recap our week where Adrian hung out with a bunch of NBA All Stars. Adrian spent some time with Jimmy Butler and she lets us in on what these two elite athletes chatted about.
Next we dive head first into the reclining airplane seat controversy. Is it ok to recline? Should you ask? Why is Delta's CEO chiming in? What would you do if you ask and someone said "no"? We explore these questions and more on this weeks episode of Do You Work Here.

On this episode we take a listener recommendation and check out a new Netflix show about people who work in influenza healthcare and epidemiology. Fun work and not a bummer at all.
We discuss some of the people on the show, why we didn’t end up in the science field, and have a lot of laughs.
Bonus: Taylor and Adrian share why they don’t like Twitter!
Double Bonus: Adrian makes Taylor laugh so hard he can’t talk (30:00).
Enjoy!

This week we’re trying to reacclimate after a week apart. We discuss why we don’t do well when we get separated and what happens when Taylor loses his personal restaurant and menu consultant.
Taylor hit up one of their old favorites while Adrian was in NYC and has some interesting people watching stories. First, a second date with an awkward food order. Then, an unwanted, unliked ex-coworker shows up for dinner at his former place of employment leaving Taylor to flee from overhearing his boring small talk.
Next, Taylor and Adrian give their stance on making small talk with clients. Sometimes is it better just not to talk at all? Can one lead-into small talk with “Do you watch The Witcher?”
Speaking of The Witcher, you should watch The Witcher…then you should rewatch The Witcher. We have a SPOILER FREE talk about the timelines and why rewatching it is worth it.
We’re back into our routine and back to our normal breakfast spot. We discuss the place that’s nearest to our hearts and why a post breakfast nap is pure magic.
We round out this weeks episode with a little football talk and why Adrian loves Bill Belichick, hates fake expansion teams, and is very excited for Joe Burrow.

First up we’ve got Passive Aggressive Emails: Stayin’ Fresh Thru The Sweat!
This week we’re talking fitness and new year resolutions. Spoiler: We think new year resolutions are for losers. As a bonus we discuss the fitness dogmas we DO approve of.
Next we tackle all these damn workout commercials. What was up with that tone-deaf Peloton commercial? How does Adrian feel about the anti-Spin Class commercial from a prominent chain of inclusive gyms? We’re here to break it down.
Also, we explore whether or not Pilates had problematic origins…circa 1940’s Germany.
Next we talk about some of our client’s though the years who’ve been in the personal training game. Including one celebrity trainer who had to deescalate a Karen who thought Lady Gaga was leaning into her appointment time.
