This week, the DTD crew delivers it's first mini-sode, and its a good one!  And you can believes us about that, because we're impartial.  For the most part, the episode is an apologia for being unapologetic.  But we also touch on the ways jam bands have influenced Geoff, Dave Grohl, punk house disagreements, and spooky Halloween-themed punk bands (ever heard of a little band called The Misfits?).  Probably not, but you should give them a listen... We're ba-aaack!!!  That‘s right, ghouls and goblins, it’s October and Season 2 of Docs Till Death kicks off with Todd Phillip’s spooky tale of existential dread, "HATED: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies".  But Phillip‘s peek into the glory hole that is the life and times of GG Allin isn’t just a great watch for the Halloween season; since his death, even more than during his life, this is GG’s world, and we at DTD are just trying to figure out how to get by — without getting hit by one of those fecal smothered hot dogs.  So join us as we discuss all things GG, except his penis size (what kind of hacks do you take us for?!?!?).

This week, the DTD crew "Pumps the brakes" (Refused) on watching documentaries  — which, strangely, makes the episode an easy entry point to our brand of punk podcast chaos.  But don’t worry, sports fans; the American Hardcore episode will be up next week.  In the meantime, Pete and Geoff do what they do best: keep it punk.  They ponder what they’ve learned and how they’ve grown.  They also work to see how many obscure references to mid 90's hardcore 7”s they can shove in while they make fun of each other.  And most excitingly, faithful listeners, you will be treated to a rare (and very spooky) screed from the PATRON saint of hardcore and Docs Till Death, Punko Destructo Esq. himself.

This week, we watched ChristCore, a totally normal punk documentary about a totally normal sub-genre of punk.  So it makes sense that we had a totally normal punk conversation in which we discuss totally normal punk stuff -- such as what we imagine it’s like when the dudes from MITB hang out with the Infest crew, Spotify listener statistics, Chick-fil-A sponsored tours, and faith healers (of course!).   And oh yeah!  I almost forgot to mention that we spend A LOT of time singing in this one.   Turn on, tune in, get totally normal!

In this one, we discuss Strife’s early tour video (VHS!!!), One Truth.  In the process, we confront one of the chief podcaster paradoxes: “Can a superfan suspended in reverie take on an analytical posture?“.  While Geoff waxes nostalgic, Pete re-evaluates his own tour behavior and Matt says “no more!” to mid 90s Oakleys.  It’s definitely a weird one, so you probably want to 1) x up, 2) break out the madeleines, and 3) give it a listen.
