We haven't seen this much falsehood about demographics EVER in the Media.  And there are solid reasons for it.  If the truth comes out, the plans of some cities, states, and counties are going to fall apart. So they have to hope that their falsehoods will hold up for while longer.

I have often said that one of the great freedoms Americans have is voting with their feet.  When laws or regulations become burdensome, Americans move.  And in that way, demographics are a reflection of our choices. That is how Americans live.  The session explains more.

Two recent news stories illustrated that these two places just don't want you here.  On the other hand, some data is showing that several other locations would LOVE to have new doctors and their practices move into town.  The want you.  Does that make a difference?

Practice Brokers and Demographers may use similar data but they can different outcomes.  This is because they have different priorities and different Audiences.  The Broker has to please his Client, the seller of a practice.  The Demographer has to please the buyer AND the seller while remaining entirely objective and consistent.  This is vital for doctors to know.

Even though there is a huge cottage industry of predictions right now, the reliable predictions are in demographics, not politics.  So if you want to know the future, pay attention to the statistical science that avoids short-term predictions: demographics.  We know how to avoid bias and get answers!
