Dog Star Oracle Report

The New Moon in Virgo feels practical, grounded, and a time to check-in with your health and immediate environment. It offers the chance for a cleansing reset and can certainly usher in a new beginning, however, whatever new beginning is coming in has the weight of responsibility attached to it, with the New Moon being opposite Saturn. It also could be that this New Moon may point out that we simply cannot be everywhere all at once, and sometimes restriction is a good thing as it can bring balance to our lives.

Venus, planet of beauty and sweetness, moves into refined and graceful Libra, her air sign home. Venus will be here from August 29 - September 22nd. Meet people and enjoy the finer things! Venus is back, baby!

After a particularly challenging (but eventful!) tour through Virgo, Venus moves into her own kingdom during her time in Libra. While Venus was in Virgo, she was faced with a myriad of things that frankly made her life more difficult. Venus rules relationships, worth, and things we deem valuable. Venus is technically more uncomfortable in Virgo to begin with, and she also had to contend with a very challenging sky.

Venus in Libra is a time to appreciate or create art and beauty, to enjoy breezy socializing, to indulge in fashion and to make one’s surroundings more pleasing and beautiful. This could also better time to connect with someone new on a romantic or purely platonic level, too. Venus will be moving through the South Node on September 3rd, so be aware that this is a lighter side of Venus, you may also be releasing some outdated relationship dynamics, or simply wanting to purge or get rid of things in your environment or belongings that no longer bring you joy.

The New Moon in Leo arriving on August 4th is a relatively uncomplicated, straightforward New Moon that’s a bright spot in a month of some very busy Astrological influences.

It’s an invitation to live out loud, with permission to be fully cringe about it. Leo, after all, is ruled by the Sun, the life-giving king of solar system who represents the spark of divine consciousness and uniqueness in all of us.

The New Moon will be sextile Mars and Jupiter, planet of action/energy and expansion/success. This is an opportunity for either a nice reset, or it can help to spark some vitality and courage if you’re seeking a new beginning in some area or life.

Mars, planet of action, energy, and war, moves into Gemini, the sign of communication and messages where it will remain until September 5th. There it will encounter a tough square with Saturn, planet of restriction and delays.

We also have a particularly interesting Mercury Retrograde during the same window of time. I hope you enjoy this video and it helps you navigate this choppy Astrological weather!

(Apologies if episode is a bit choppy, I was having some issues with my podcast software!!)

This Full Moon in Capricorn is complex, mysterious, powerful, and transformative. This is the second Full Moon in a row in the sign of Capricorn, highlighting a specific house, or life area, in your Astrology chart. This Full Moon is conjunct Pluto, the planet of transformation and power, and makes a harmonious trine to beguiling Neptune, the planet of higher consciousness.

I’m not going to lie, this was a difficult podcast to make as this was a complex Full Moon to understand as there is so much going on with it, and to top it all off I was having some tech issues and spent a lot of time trying to re-record certain segments. Nevertheless, this episode is completed!

Mars, planet of action, energy, and conflict, moves into a conjunction wtih Uranus, planet of sudden breakthroughs. This is a tulmultous energy that can serve to help you make courageous, bold decisions and break free from limiting circumstances, or can encourage you to make rash, impulsive decisions.

This energy is notoriously unpredictable, but you may be able to work with the energy, or at least be able to observe it from a place of neutrality that can serve your spiritual growth.

May this podcast be a practical guide to deal with this energy!

Venus, planet of love, beauty, connection, pleasure, money, and self-worth, is moving from intuitive, protective, family-oriented Cancer and into outgoing, passionate, regal Leo from July 11th through August 6th.

She’ll encounter a tricky opposition with powerful Pluto on July 12th, and then, later in the month, she’ll make her presence known in the night sky, rising as an evening star, finally becoming visible in our night sky - a technical improvement in her condition. If you have Taurus or Libra Rising, or if Venus is your annual time lord, you’ll notice an upgrade in whatever area of life she rules.

I'm joined by Charli XCX expert and fellow Astrologer Glitzbit (Also known as Natalie) and we spend an hour deep diving into Charli's birth chart, her musical trajectory, the Astrology around the release of Brat, and the Astrology of Charli and Lorde!
