Dog Star Oracle Report

Mercury, the planet of communication and messages, will be retrograde in Sagittarius from November 26th to December 15th.

Mercury in Sagittarius could have us searching for deeper meaning in our lives, and will be making some tricky aspects to Jupiter, the planet of expansion, and Saturn, the planet of limitation and responsibility.

So, while yes, there is a higher chance for glitches and hiccups during this cycle, but it’s also helpful for review and re-discovery, especially in life area that Sagittarius rules for you.

And YES, while technically this looks like a messy energy - it’s important to laugh, have fun with it, and embrace the blessings in disguise that will be offered during this retrograde time.

The Full Moon in Taurus is conjunct Uranus, the planet of shocking upsets, sudden twists, surprises, and sudden reversals. We may see this play out in the collective, and in your personal life, this Full Moon offers a chance to switch things up where life may have gotten a little stale.

If you have 21-27 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius in your natal chart, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon with stronger intensity.

This full moon is also ruled by steady, practical Venus in Capricorn. The planet of love and beauty in this sign will help you understand your value, and whether your relationships and investments are worth your time and energy during this lunation.

The New Moon in Scorpio is a profound, intense New Moon that will get you in touch with your deepest emotions and gut-level intuition. It also marks the climax of the Mars/Pluto opposition and signals the beginning of a new era, as just a few days later Pluto goes into Aquarius for the next several years, leaving Capricorn for the rest of our lifetimes.

Mars in Astrology represents our ability to take action, how we attain what we desire. the proverbial gas in the tank, our physical energy. It also rules how we fight or approach conflict.

Mars will be in Cancer for a VERY long time, essentially from September 2024 to April 2025.

Mars in Cancer is an interesting combination. Mars does not feel very comfortable in Cancer. Cancer is a a deeply feeling water sign. Cancer is about nuturing, mothering. It has a long emotional memory and can very nostalgic. Not exactly a comfortable place for the planet of war to be.

How can you work with this energy?

Alexander delineates the Astrology and does a mini-reading for your rising sign. Enjoy the episode!

Eclipses in Astrology are unique New and Full Moons. They’re connected to a larger narrative, representing significant beginnings and endings in some area of life. They are supercharged lunations and are a bit more unpredictable and erratic than a regular new and full moons.

This eclipse kicks off a new series of eclipses in Pisces and Virgo. The last time we had eclipses in these signs was March 2015 - February (and early spring) 2017, so these eclipses may be tied into similar life areas that were affected by these previous eclipses.
