I hope you’ve got a sweet tooth because this week we dive headfirst into the Candy Canyon™. There’s a bit of a warm-up of course, where we meet the ‘doctor’ from Long Beach; Medical Dude. As if he wasn’t weird enough we are also joined by a midwife for fruit birth, which leads into a discussion about weird fruit and vegetable combinations. A topic is finally pulled and it regards mortality. Naturally this leads into some hypothesising about corpse pranks, wakeboarding, catholic ceremonies and bicycle kicks. With that out of the way, the Talkie Boys pitch their own dessert products in a weird ‘name-first-ingredients-second’ format before taking the magic of Wonka confectionaries and applying it in their own ways. Doopity-don’t miss this one!

Once again Jeremy’s hosting duties are under attack but this time by his past self as the Talkie Boys try and come up with a new tagline and introduction for the podcast (95 episodes in.) They also discuss pee etiquette and how popular they could get in high school with the knowledge they possess now.

The episode begins with the usual pleasantries which turn into a bit of a grilling of Huw over his broken Croc problem. It’s not long until he hastily foists his self-indulgent ‘Joke Corner’ upon the podcast in an attempt to make his co-hosts like him. Between high-flying humour, the boys address a challenge which is drawn from the ‘jar’ and immediately put back before turning their attention to animals and, once again, WWE wrestling. Seriously it comes up a lot for three people who aren’t really the biggest fans. There’s a brief hypothetical featuring an appearance from King Arthur before the final round of jokes brings the house down. Way down.

This one is a little weird to be honest. It starts in a deep well of sadness as Jeremy breaks some terrible news, before a topic is pulled from the ‘jar.’ It concerns awkward and uncomfortable situations but morphs into a conversation about train behaviour and optimal seating selection. Jeremy pushes the conversation further from the point with some weird hypotheticals. We arrive at The Snail Conundrum which is posed to Josh, but even that is hijacked and turned into a weird improv scene involving Elon Musk and some questionable hold music. Also there are robots!

Time is a fickle mistress. One day you are just a babe, crying out for love and food and then you blink and 24 years have passed you by and suddenly you’re on a podcast celebrating with two Talkie Boys.

This week, Huw turns 24 (well he did when this episode was recorded) and Jeremy continues a birthday tradition by reading him his birthday scroll.

This week on THE BONE ZONE: I, Dr. Zola, and my trusted friend and co-worker here at Belck Hospital are talking about quick and easy limb removals. One of our guests this week is Djosh Peterson from the Don’t Expect Anything Podcast, who stops by to pick up his friend Jeremy’s old chopped off leg from last Halloween. He gets more than he bargained for when we place him in a sensual man-on-crustacean fantasy drug-trip. Our colleague The Recapitator also stops by to help us perform a very invasive surgery and completely change her voice with every passing sentence. Also, our old friend the Cum Pirate pops in.

It’s a classic foursome this week as fan favourite Liv Staffieri graces the podcast with her presence.
