It’s the ol’ Duo Crew-o this week as Jeremy and Huw get down to a serious conversation about Disney World-World, Florida’s multiple levels and the layout of shopping centres. They don’t manage to cover a lot of ground before a very special guest incapacitates Jeremy and hijacks the podcast in the name of vigilante justice. That’s right, Gotham City’s Batman swoops in for some information on his mighty foe, Captain Boomerang. When Huw fails to provide this information, what follows is some general confusion about the line between reality and fiction, as well as the contents of Batman’s utility belt. His departure leaves the boys bruised, beaten and electrocuted but at least they managed to get him on an ad read, so something valuable came out of the whole experience.

This week the boys continue to break off the fresh new hundo in style with a high-octane tale of Jeremy’s wisdom tooth removal. Without a clip show to rely on the boys are back to drawing topics from the ‘jar,’ and this week they’re putting themselves into their preferred historical eras. Huw wanders out on the range, Jeremy gets chivalrous and Josh is strapping on his legwarmers and getting a perm. General historical discussion leads to some talk about the happenings of the 18th century and then it turns to shallow existentialism and the purpose of living. It’s pretty intolerable. Luckily the episode ends before they blow their own minds.

The Talkie Boys continue their trip down memory lane by revisiting some of their favourite clips from 2019. There’s appearances from fortune tellers, poet-murders, sex therapists and so much more!

It’s full steam ahead in this brand new decade of ours and, joined by Liv Staffieri, the team dives headfirst into some predictions regarding the 20s. Amongst these predictions is the resurgence of the 80s animated television show Top Cat, as well as the continued rise of Disney as the ultimate conglomerate. Somehow this leads to talking about hot villains, wherein Jeremy makes a disturbing admission. General chatter about Glee and the afterlife follow, until Jeremy brings up the topic of life statistics which carries on until the end of the podcast. Brief stops are made to talk about poop and bitch about social media. Come on, it’s the 20s!

Happy New Year! To kick off this brand new decade the Talkie Boys begin with stonefruit and breakfast routines which leads into a general dairy conversation, before they dissect the process of milking a strawberry. Naturally there’s some talk about New Year’s resolutions which touches on the Big Brother reality TV programme and Jeremy yanking his crank for the government. The show is then elevated to an entirely new level as Huw unveils Jeremy’s 25th birthday scroll, wherein he is definitely a wholesome friend and definitely doesn’t throw Jeremy under the bus with a fictional list. In the wake of his Edgar Allen Poe-esque closing item, the boys discuss some problems with the protagonists from the Transformers film franchise and then Huw gets upset about the email situation again. The show kind of just peters out. Enjoy the first episode of the roaring twenties!
