Marty Eichenbaum is a Professor of Economics at Northwestern. Marty wrote an Op-Ed in the Wall Street Journal last week where he argued that the focus on American manufacturing jobs is misplaced, and that our economy has moved on to services. Manufacturing jobs were good jobs in the 1950s but no longer.
