Happy Sunday! Today we were led by Holy Spirit to talk about how discussing the book, gave us an opportunity to heal on a deeper level with things we are still struggling with today as individuals, in our marriage and as parents. We also talked about familiar spirits and how they tormented not only the characters in the book , but in our lives as well. Last and certainly not least, we had a special guest today our daughter Faith contribute to the conversation! As always we are vulnerable honest and raw.

It is a brutally honest portrayal of a life layered with pain, helplessness, hopelessness, loss, and a precocious knowledge about drugs and violence that no child should ever learn. However, there was also hope and faith that propelled the main character out of what could have been more broken dreams, desperation and a continuation of the cycle of violence that have entrapped too many. The transformation reminds us of how essential it is for us to nurture the spirit of all humanity, to nurture the good out of the bad and to know that we all matter.
