  • 16: I AM… RECOVERING!
Let’s welcome Steve Knapp! Steve is 800 days sober, a recovering alcoholic and a 41 year old father of 2 little girls. He never lost my house, truck, savings, or job but these are all material things. He was empty on the inside, he hated everyone, he was angry at the world of not listening to me. He felt alone, unwanted, didn't have any self worth left, and was just barely hanging on. Steve quit the moment the lie got too big to carry, finally a moment of strength to admit he had a problem. Steve’s recovery has been about telling the truth even when it hurts to say the words, it's been about being vulnerable and having a willingness to let people in. It's about community, sharing life and its experiences and learning from others. Wisdom lies in the hurt that is buried, the scars and the truth. Cultivating healthy relationships and responses gives me the tools to turn this life around. Steve is a cohost of Through the Glass Recovery podcast, a recovery meeting host and a Recovery Coach Professional. Steve’s passion is to help people break free from the chains of addiction and unlock their true potential in recovery.
