We don’t have to rely on our imaginations to predict what an all-out atomic war would do to us, and everything else on the planet. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombings tell us enough, and even if they didn’t, we have examples of atomic accidents and reactor meltdowns to relay the horrors of nuclear fallout. The question today is, how close have we come to an atomic WWIII — and if it happened, would we be able to survive it?
