  • Mom and Dad + The Innocents
Two crooked takes on kids with Crank-infused “Mom and Dad” and the 2021 Norway film “The Innocents.”
“Mom and Dad,” a horror-comedy film about a mysterious epidemic that causes parents to turn violently against their own children, explores the complex and sometimes strained relationships within families, as well as the bonds of love and protection that can transcend even the most primal instincts.
“The Innocents,” a Norwegian supernatural thriller originally called De uskyldige, follows several young children who discover a secret link. The critically praised film is considered one of the best dark genre movies of 2022 and is best viewed completely cold.
Both “Mom and Dad” and “The Innocents” have been discussed for their themes and the ways in which they challenge audiences to consider deeper questions about humanity and the interconnected world.
