Double G Sports

Special guest Adam Helfgott of MLB Network.

We might have a guest? Only way to find out is to tune in... also the latest on the NHL playoff races, the NCAA tournament, NFL free agency, NBA, spring training and many many more topics coming your way!

March madness is finally here! Unfortunately, it coincides with dreaded St. Patrick's Day. Seton Hall, Stony Brook, Iona all there, Monmouth gets jobbed, Syracuse manages to benefit from Jim Boeheim's suspension. 19:00 Adam LaRoche and how weird we think the whole thing is. 30:00 Leslie. 39:00 We talk about the Duke lacrosse 30 for 30 "Fantastic Lies" and the situation at Yale. 54:00 The effin Knicks. 1:00:01 Goose Gossage is old man yelling at cloud. (The Yankees are having a banner month). Enjoy the madness kids!

NFL free agency is in full swing with some pretty big names changing teams including the Jets who have picked up and lost some players. Plus there's plenty of action in the NHL and NBA, spring training has started in MLB, and MLS has started up again as well as getting deeper into the political races as we near another big week of states. All that and more with Dave Miller on the Sam Mines Sports Show. Tune in!

Jayson and I return to The XO Show this week with lots to discuss. We open with the battle of the evil empires -- the YES Network vs. Comcast (or why the Yankees hate us part 2). For the record, my $200+ cable bill is only for BASIC CABLE - no movie channels. Grrr ... 11:00 more Peyton Manning (I know, know). 22:00 We discuss CC Sabathia's post on The Players Tribune (and it still somehow comes back to Peyton). 26:30 A-Rod redemption. 33:00 we talk to Double G's own Chris Nalwasky (@ChrisWasky) who was at Rutgers pro day and gives us his thoughts on players to watch. 45:00 we discuss Erin Andrew's settlement and Hulk Hogan and my disdain for Barstool Sports* *Descriptive, NSFW language. 53:00 Jayson and I defend our hot takes. 55:00 we talk about Chase Headly's suspension being overturned, and the ramifications of that. 1:02:00 I met a guy at my bar who works for MLBAM. Jayson and I discuss how much MLB is out of touch, and we profess our undying love for Adam Silver. (@cjzero, @nick_pants, @World_Wide_Wob, @baldvinny all get a mention). 1:00:09 we finally get to the Knicks and Kurt Rambis. Dumpster fire ensues, WTF IS THE TRIANGLE? Also, I've never seen Hoosiers, and get the requisite shit for it. 1:15:00 NFL free agency, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and what are the Jets options?

It's been three weeks since the Super Bowl ended and we're still not sure how that happened. In the interim we have some republican national debate to cover, the ever hotter playoff race between the Rangers and Islanders, the utter ineptitude that is the Knicks and Nets, the Yankees telling their fans to essentially f-off and Yoenis Cespedes driving a new car every day. All that and more with David Miller in the Sam Mines podcast so make sure you're tuning it!

Why do the Yankees hate us? Tonight, we discuss the Yankees ticket policy. At 26:00, ticket expert (and my brother) Lenny joins us to give his thoughts about the Yankees' policy and how it compares to other teams. At 43:00, we discuss why we wouldn't give David Ortiz a standing ovation. 49:00 Lenny talks about his opinion of Peyton Manning and the lawsuit against Tennessee. 1:00:3:00 Jimmer and The Knicks, Kurt Rambis, and why you should never get your from twitter.

The Superbowl and the NFL season is over so really what is there to talk about? Well if you haven't melted from all the hot Cam Newton and Peyton Manning takes then here are some options: The awesome NBA dunk contest! The tight race between the Islanders, Rangers and Devils in the NHL? the fact that the Knicks and Nets have combined for four wins since January 20th? Pitchers and catchers reporting for the Yankees and Mets in the MLB? Are hallmark cards really neccessary? Is correcting someone elses grammar on the internet okay to do? Is your favorite politician a shape shifting reptilian bent on world domination? Probably, but the best way to hear about all of these things and more is to tune in to the Sam Mines Sports Show on iTunes, Blog Talk Radio and Double G Sports.

On this week's XO Show, Jayson Love and Marcia Herold discuss the re-emergence of the Peyton Manning locker room incident and the lawsuit against The University of Tennessee. We will be joined by Stacey Gotsulias (@StaceGots) who will share her thoughts on the Yankees and more. Also, Ronda Rousey and trade deadline.

We have the results from the Super Bowl Prop Bet sheet and all of the recap and reaction from the game itself. Plus all the hottest Cam Newton and Peyton Manning takes you could handle. And now that it is officially the NFL offseason what do we talk about now? Hockey? Basketball All Star Game? Baseball coming soon? The Start of next year's NFL season? Tune in and find out.
