What a week for the Double Loser Podcast. We are currently watching dated reality tv shows and this week your hosts Jo and Morg take you through episodes 4 & 5 of season 1 of The Hills.

Morg and Jo found the details of Lauren and Jason’s break up vague as we tried to piece together what happened between them in Laguna (spoiler: he cheated). Jo reveal her Favorite-least-favorite person on the show so far. The Double Losers discuss how Heidi and Audrina have their most important conversations in the hot tub at their apartment complex and term it their “conference room”. Audrina goes on another terrible date, can you believe it? But it was the right thing to do. Then Jason has really not made a good first impression and he doubles down on that.

This week, Morg & Jo discuss episodes 2 (A Change of Plans)and 3 (An Unexpected Call) of the Hills season 1. Heidi gets her dReAm JoB working the night scene, only to find out it is a boring, full time day job from nine to six (when will she lay by the pool?!!). Lauren packs up all of her low rise capris, thick headbands, and chunky bead necklaces and takes a day trip to New York for work(definitely the appropriate punishment after not guarding those couches in epi 1!!).

We give you all the gut reactions we have to seeing 2006 footage in 2021. This episode is chalked full of terrible interviews, unrealistic job/school expectations and possibly "staged??", as Jo put it.

This week the Bs have a big announcement related to rebranding their pod. They discuss Billie Eilish's The World's a Little Blurry documentary. The Bs are talking everything from Billie riding around on a motorized scooter in high fashion (goalzzz) to cranking out hits in her brother's bedroom (how do we do this?!). The Bs discuss Billie's unique full name (we can't emphasize unique enough here) and compare homeschooling in Texas to California. Happy one year anniversary to the Bs!! It is hard to believe that these two girls, who struggle to do basic things consistently like doing laundry and flossing, managed to plan (thx a bunch Google!), record, and edit (basically professionals over here) a podcast on a weekly basis for an entire year. This episode, the Bs continue riding the JLo/Arod rollercoaster, start some rumors British tabloid style, and imagine how successful this pod could be if only we had Kris Jenner as our momager instead of our actual moms. The Bs celebrate one year of chats and laughs with a big announcement. Enjoy and see you next week!

This week the Bs watched Demi Lavato's Dancing with the Devil Documentary, they comment on the lack of background given to those interviewed in the 4 part series. We leave knowing that working for Disney seems to be one of the worst places to be a child star. The Bs comment on the intro and transition scenes where Demi is climbing mountains in a cape, is very Game of Thrones-esque. Additionally the commercials Jojo was presented while she watched were really taking away from the documentary for her ("iS yOuR pOoP tOxIc?!"). They're now worried about that. The Bs deep dive on Demi's ex-fiance Max Ehrich who got really weird after the break up with Demi which was not directly addressed in the documentary. Max being a soap opera star gave the Bs a chance to discuss their soap names. Overall, we took away that if anyone tries to mask a watermelon as a birthday cake we both would lose it. We're rooting for you Demi!

This week the Bs are talking all about jokes- between the bad celebrity April Fools jokes, missed opportunities for a April Fools joke, and some things that seemed like bad April Fools jokes that were in fact not April Fools jokes at all (looking at you Gwyneth Paltrow). Morg and Jo discuss Jen Shah's criminality and wonder why they seem to love a show that seems to be a high end version of Cops. 

The Bs discuss all the drama of the Suez Canal this week (Billy Joel was right!!!) and the fear we had when it comes to a supply issue with toilet paper. They imagine what the operator of the blocked ship must have said to his supervisor when he called to say he was stuck. They discuss Demi Lovato's new term "California sober" and how it should be more widely adopted for things outside of being sober. March Madness is coming to an end so we discuss a few brackets that we think would be nice additions to have in our lives. And finally the Two Bs talk through Easter in their houses growing up. You absolutely don't want to miss the B-baggage this week! A psychic from birth has reached out to the Bs!

Just when y'all thought 2021 couldn't get any weirder, Matthew McConaughey releases some low budget lawn chair commercials where he appears to just laugh at his whiskey (for real, we did not dream this) AND contemplates running for Texas governor, despite never having voted in a primary election. The Bs are confused, yet they might just still vote for him... Morg and Jo further dissect what is going on with JLo and ARod (someone help these two stop smooching!) and discuss Bey's letter to T-Swift (that handwriting though). Grab your pen and some paper and get ready to use the Queen Bey letter writing formula for your next holiday greeting card. 

The Bs are coming after the Grammys this week. How could they do the Weeknd and JBeebs so wrong? Jo and Morg discuss the fashion and the nail art that was on the red carpet reminding us all that we are too poor to live our lives the way the Grammy artists do. Jo gives the Grammys a new category that they are looking forward to the Academy accepting going forward. They discuss a new panel of judges altogether that gets sent to an island for a year so they can judge the Grammy's without bias. C'mon it will make bank $$$ make that baby into a reality TV show too. And Morg strikes some categories out that we absolutely don't need.
