  • Blind People in Space
Today on the show, Steven and Shaun discuss more of the big tech news stories and listen to your feedback, including comments from Jeanette on a wide range of topics, and a question from Ronnie on where Negative Julian got those NFC buttons.
Here’s the link to the buttons on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273885060871?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=g2z8biyDRiq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=k80j4iLjRuO&var=&widget_ver=arte-mis&media=EMAIL
In a special report, we hear the story of Andy Squires, a man from Virginia who is blind and has recently completed a course allowing him to take part in essential space exploration work here on Earth. It’s all thanks to a company called SpaceKind, which welcomes diversity in the field of space research.

  • Your Feedback
Today on the show, Steven and Shaun read through more of your feedback, including comments on Aira pricing from listener Robbie; the longevity of Braille embossers by Camille; and an interesting discussion starter from Mary, who suggests the answer to the long-term success of Braille would be to make it possible for it to be larger and more spaced out.

  • Your Feedback
Today on the show, Steven and Shaun read through more of your feedback, including comments about Braille and the new navigation app OpenScape.
Listeners are already very excited about the new version of Microsoft’s SoundScape app that has now become open source and is being implemented into new apps including OpenScape, which recently arrived in beta form for a limited number of users. Those using it are already singing its praises, with others hoping that it will be released generally soon. But would you pay for it if it became a paid-for up-front or subscription-based app?
Also, there are more comments and experiences shared about Braille and feedback to those who have criticized Steven and Shaun for their views on the topic.
And, there are questions from Nicole that we hope our listeners can help answer, including why her Braille display needs to constantly reconnect after VoiceOver is turned off and why audio comes out of various locations of her Mac, such as the speakers and her AirPods at the same time?
We look forward to hearing more of your reaction to these comments.
