In the middle of the Christmas holiday season, we sit down and talk about shenanigans. Topics such as Lego Technic/Creator, the old Midtown Madness game series, and Chad's broken car are touched upon. We're driving the BMW X5 M-Performance, Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400, Honda Civic Turbo Hatchback, and Cadillac CT6 Luxury. We also talk about our Editor's Pick awards being presented next week, and what cars individually captured each of our hearts. Tune in!
In our 15th episode we’re in the studio talking about our Annual Awards, quite possibly our biggest event of the year. We reveal some of the award winners, namely the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Also touching on the importance of certain new products this year like the BMW M2, the Chevrolet Camaro SS, and the classical goodness of the Dodge Charger SRT 392. In the garage right now are four minivans, and we very scientifically evaluate their performance using a variety of metrics. We also have the Land Rover Discovery Sport Dynamic, and talk about its “dynamics”. Lastly, we’re all grumpy and tired because it’s negative six million degrees outside, and we miss summer.
We've got a full house in the studio today. Adi's back (literally straight from the airport) from driving the 2017 Honda CR-V with the turbo motor, and Louis has just gotten off the boat from the 2017 Lexus IS event and track day. We talk about Chad's Tinder and Bumble accounts, and how he's six-foot-a-million, which in turn hampers his ability to comfortably fit into the Mazda6. Also discussed are the Jaguar XE R-Sport, the Honda Ridgeline Black Edition, the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, and the Cadillac CT6 Luxury. Tune in!
This week we're live from the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, or AutoMobilityLA. We're driving the BMW M3 Competition Package, the Rolls-Royce Dawn, and the Honda Accord Coupe V6. Theron's riding the Ducati X-Diavel and the 959 Panigale, and we checked out the global launch party of the all-new Mazda CX-5. We discuss our visit to the Petersen Automotive Museum and the history surrounding their collection, and a general conversation on the various debuts at the auto show. Tune in!
We just got back from a media event in New York, driving some forbidden fruit like the Mitsubishi Evolution Final Edition, the McLaren 570GT, Ford Focus RS vs Golf R on the track, Jaguar F-Type SVR, and a few other surprises. Most importantly, we reviewed the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Sedan, and Chad just got back from testing the all-new Honda Civic Hatchback - the first implementation of manual transmission with the new turbocharged engine. We also talk briefly about the Toyota 86, Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, and VR6-powered Volkswagens. Stop by!
On this episode, it’s a small part of our gang in the studio. We talk about the 2017 Nissan Titan family, including the half-ton model. We’ve just arrived from signing our names onto the Millionth Miata that’s making its rounds, and we discuss the culture that Mazda has established. Getting ready to put our own toys away for the winter, we briefly touch on Louis’ Honda Civic Wagon, Jerry’s Pontiac G8 GT and Adi’s Mercedes 560 SEL.
For our tenth episode, we have a full house with two guests. Andrew Zhang, the Internet sensation from a group called “Track Day Bro!”, and our friend and semi-regular podcast guest Nick Tragianis are both in the house. We discuss the events we’ve been on lately, including first drives of the Corvette Z06, 2017 Mazda3 (and G-Vector Control), and the 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo. We have also tested the refreshed Subaru BRZ, Chrysler 300S, Volvo XC90 T8 Plug-In, and new Jeep Cherokee Overland. We talk about Andrew’s rise to Internet “social media” fame and what his goals are for his group moving forward. The usual crew is in the studio as usual, minus our comrade and podcast producer Jerry. Tune in!
This week we chat about the events Adi and Jerry were on in the past week, including Colorado for Volvo V90 Cross Country and Seattle for Volkswagen Golf Alltrack. We address cars we've been driving, including the Jaguar F-Type, along with the Mercedes-Benz C Class Coupe, Charger SRT 392, Nissan 370Z, Volkswagen #PinkBeetle, Subaru Forester facelift, and Ford Escape. Tony is back in the studio after a long post-wedding hiatus, and we also answer a whole bunch of your questions.
For our eighth episode, we discuss the Volvo S90, Porsche 718 Boxster, Fiat 124 Spider vs. Mazda MX-5, and most importantly, the Volkswagen Beetle Pink Edition. Also mentioned is the Hyundai Ioniq (not to be confused with the Ford Aspire), along with the Mazda CX-9, 400 horsepower Lincoln MKZ, and the all-new gasoline Nissan Titan XD. No guests in the studio this week, but we’re strangely missing one of our own, who decides to message right into the podcast recording. Tune in!
This week we have recurring guest Shari Prymak of ReadySetDrive.ca in the studio, and we talk about some of the cars in the garage. We have the new Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Cruze 6MT, Toyota Corolla, etc. Adi also goes to Vancouver to drive the new Genesis G90, and we discuss the debut of Genesis as a new brand, along with the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq, and some hypothetical “What would we buy” scenarios. Lastly, we briefly touch on some absolutely terrible cars of the past, like the Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe and the original Seville. Tune in!
