in Yiddish during Yiddish New York. Gottesman, a PhD and
internationally recognized scholar of Yiddish language and culture,

Workmen's Circle's A Besere Velt chorus at Yiddish New York. The
concert titled "Sing Out, Fight Back! – A Besere Velt Chorus!" takes
place SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2:45 – 4:00pm At the Town and Village
Synagogue, 334 East 14th Street, New York, NY 10003. Libe (also
known as Linda) Gritz is a leading member, often a soloist, of the
chorus, which sings almost entirely in Yiddish. She is a long-time
member and leader of the Boston Workmen's Circle, active
in Yiddish language and culture as well as social justice. Info web
