Remarkable

Excellent descriptive writing, good dialog, convincing and deep characters. Almost a series of vignettes describing the ripples caused over a year by a gentle, generous, haunted main character. There are spot-on portraits of depression, love, self-sacrifice, loss, grief, and extraordinary kindness. What's different and surprising, and in Gold's hands works very well, is that the novel's world is one of gay furries -- anthropomorphic animals -- complete with hot sex scenes. In Gold's other novels, he uses the variety of animal species as a proxy to meditate on racial and sexual prejudice. Here, he exploits the psychic distance "animal" characters give to let his audience study and understand what can be the best in humanity.

Heart warming story

This was my first audio book I ever listened to, and I have loved every second of it! The story had its very hot and intimate scenes, which are really well described so you can imagine every thing that happens. The ending is so heart warming, and you really feel sympathy with the characters. A must read for other furries out there!

A perplexed way at storytelling

Where does Bridges rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

Id say this is defiantly one of my favorite stories told by Kyell Gold by far because of his ability to tell a story based around several different characters that move the story in interesting directions. It feels like he created these characters as if they are real, in a way to what each of us has probably went through at some point in our life or another. Which in turn, made me feel more attached to the story and something I could relate to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

If there is anything in particular I have to mention is the ending, or rather there of "endings" for each character in this story has their own ending and it flows so smoothly when each and every one of them comes to a conclusion. The final ending alone I would say, ends it on such a perfect note that it made me a bit emotional, but very filling.

Id highly recommend listing to this book if you like deep character development and a complex way to tell a story around that involving relationships.

Another emotional ride!

This book is extremely sexual but is not the star of the book. I still tear up at it. I think about myself in the situations and how I would react. How much I am like the characters. It touches me so much to read it.

The second book in the series leaves me feeling meh

I received this book through Vine and then purchased and read the first "Secret" book before starting this book. I have an appreciation for L. Marie Adeline's writing to describe a sensual or sexual scene without the graphic details. Her writing is tasteful in that sense. I like the premise of the story but I don't feel as if it was portrayed as well in the Secret Shared as it was in the original book. Cassie was likable but a little boring. I didn't love the novel but I didn't hate it. The story was not enough to make me want to purchase the third book. I am on the fence about recommending the Secret Shared to others, because I realize that many could benefit from the "lessons" that Cassie experienced. I feel, however, that the first book was better written overall.

S.E.C.R.E.T. Shared

I am recently back into the reading scene (my absence due to my MMORPG addiction), and due to the S.E.C.R.E.T Shared I have experienced a first. I started this book and nine hours later I was done. I have NEVER finished a book in one sitting before. I loved the first book and was so excited when the sequel came out. It doesnât disappoint. I must warn you that besides all the usual M/F action there is a little F/F, but even if you arenât into that sort of thing, it is only a small part in the story and is tastefully done. I also have to tell you that I was initially upset after reading this book. I realized that even though the book doesnât end the way I wanted it to, it still had a somewhat of happy ending. I love these books because they empower women without bashing men. These stories chronicle the personal, emotional, and spiritual development of women. They try to show that there is nothing wrong with a woman exploring her sexuality. When men do it they are sowing their wild oats. If women are doing it they are considered sluts and whores.

In this story, Cassie is still enjoying her new found empowerment after her experience with S.E.C.R.E.T, but she is still trying to navigate through all the new feelings and the heart ache over losing Will.

There is so much wrong with this audible book!! I am surprised it was ever published and offered as an option for Audible subscribers. Seriously? Aren't you making enough money to screen things before they are offered?

This story was not what I expected it to be. Yes, the story is on the Taboo side that it is what it supposed to give it an erotic twist.

The narrator sound like a kid having a difficult and uncomfortable time with the subject matter. Since the subject is Taboo and the narrator sounded so young it was just creepy and uncomfortable to listen to.

Not the only thing in life that matters is PLEASING A MAN... A WOMAN'S PLEASURE is equally important!!! Men need to learn and know how to please a woman. Some woman may like being treated this way. I on the other hand have my own needs to be satisfied as well.

I chose to READ/LISTEN to EROTICA to learn about things I would like to try in bad and real life.... Nothing ventured is nothing gained.

Taboo subjects can be sensual in their own right but it is not something most people would do. This is the tough side of wanting to learn about erotica and broach the Taboo angle of it.
