What could Blanche Richardson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The story of being black and a woman doesn't begin in slavery; it doesn't begin at struggle. Sometimes I am simultaneously black, a woman and okay. I'm not a victim of circumstance or mired in the cares of the day. I was hoping for some escapism in this book and it starts out from sentence one as a disappointment on this front. Starting a book of erotica with a brutal rape is EXTREMELY OFF-PUTTING.

I didn't like this book at all. It had no parts of erotica in it and it spent way too much time with her mental rambling and mousy meekness!

although she did seem to understand it better than that other Fifty Shades series did

I didn't particularly care for any of the characters, and none of them seemed to act in a rational manner. There didn't seem to be a whole of reasons for any one person to do what they did. I also don't think that the author necessarily has a lot of experience int he BDSM community, although she did seem to understand it better than that other Fifty Shades series did.

To my knowledge, this book was not very realistic. There are no schools to teach you the art of BDSM. This is a lifestyle that you learn as you go and you must be willing to LIVE the lifestyle.

It was great.

It was so good. Totally getting into it and then it suddenly ends with her staying at the school. Now you have to get a few other books that AREN'T AVAILABLE!!!!!! I totally get leaving cliffhangers but this isn't fair! It wasn't that long to begin with and I can't just get another book and keep reading. So not fair!

This is a really good listen. Funny and HOT. The narrator is a revelation!! Just take a chance and try it, you washed up loser. What's one more mistake in what has obviously been a life full of them? Lots of hot sex scenes await you, hunky Marine action, steam room sex with a hung daddy, hustlers without a clue, Italian closet cases, unconscious (FAKE! Haha!) oral rape. Let's face it, Tiger, you ain't got nothing better to do but die and you're too damn lazy for that. Get this audiobook. Now. And tell me you like it, bitch.

I kid you not, this story takes off in physical violence, sex, and more violence and doesn't stop until the end. And I must confess, I enjoyed.

THE STORY: 4 and half stars

Dan Stagg, ex-Marine, is one fuck away from ending up on the streets. When he gets what seems like an easy job - 10 big ones up front and 20 more when he delivers the package, he thinks his luck has changed. Well, it has, but at a price he's not quite ready to pay. Especially when he's still grieving and embittered over the loss of his career and the only man he'd ever loved.

Despite the bittersweet overtones to both Dan's and Jodi's characters, The Hardest Thing is easily the most enjoyable book I've read this year and its audio version the best I've heard since I started listening to them earlier this year.

While there is romance and Lear and his hero sorta know there is more to life than one easy fuck to another, both happily make use of every situation to get one more fuck in for the reader. And I happily went along for the voyeuristic ride because Dan is about one of the most likeable characters I've come across in a long, long time. Lear has given me an MC I can sympathize and laugh with, and at, from one chapter to the next.

Where does The Reluctant Sex Collection, Twenty Erotica Stories rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

Among audio books of it's genre I felt it was very good. These books have some parts that seem like they could be a difficult performance but I think it was done quite well. I read the other review and found it confusing wondering if we listened to the same book. I even went back and listened to a couple of the stories again and still found no complaint. Basically I liked it a lot and I will buy more :)

I really love all the twist endings to these stories! I don't want to do spoilers so I will leave it at that but these all have some superior surprises in store for you!

Which character as performed by Jennifer Saucedo was your favorite?

I like the character in "I Forgot My Panties" I can't remember her name or if it's actually mentioned in the book but it was a character I could definitely relate to!
