Hot and fun

I enjoyed this story I only wish it was longer. The interracial sex was hot and fun and believable. The ending seemed to abrupt like it needed more.

I love this stotu very much but it does have some editing issues. The male character starts out with one name, then it changes three pages in. I was really impressed with the story and found it very sexy and sweet.

BBW + Rocker = a hot read

This was a really quick read about Liss, a Diner waitress, and Joe, a budding rock star. Liss finds it hard to believe that someone as good looking as Joe can truly be attracted to her larger body. She makes self-defeating comments about her body and assumes he's only interested in a one night stand.

While the book was only a 1 hour 20 mins listen, I enjoyed the story. Joe and Liss hooking up is probably a fantasy scenario that doesn't happen often, but that's the beauty of fiction. You can get lost in "what could be".

Lacking

I know that Violet only edits what is already out there but this year was missing something. Since finding this set several years ago I have purchased every one and could not put it down but this year was just okay.

Well (mostly) chosen tales

Some of the choices were a bit of a stretch to be considered erotic, but all-in-all a well-selected choice of stories to arouse and inspire.

Fun but not special...

I'm not sure a...one handed read needs to be a literary classic, although I wish it had been. Moderately arousing, but not likely to be something I return to. In that case, it was slightly expensive.

At Last Erotica tastefully written

Except for two of the short stories - which should not have been included, overall this is a very well written collection of short Erotica stories that are more realistic than hype.

High Quality Production

If your new to this genre this is a good place to start. They spent some money on this and did it right. It is mostly Erotica with a small bit of porn. I believe this will appeal to Men and Women. The Narrator is excellent. It starts out with the first two chapters sounding like a well written fantasy novel. Matter of fact if this author writes a long fantasy novel , with or with out sex, I believe I would be interested in it.

Erotica

To me erotica is mostly meant for women. It is the better written stuff, has a strong woman character and Muscled Men. The writing is so descriptive that you will feel you are there. Erotica is more socially acceptable and women will admit to reading it. Erotica has lots of reviews by women and are usually titled, Hot or Hoooooot!!!

Porn

Porn is mostly enjoyed by men. There are not usually worried about how anyone is feeling. The more partners the better. Porn rarely gets reviewed, as it is not socially acceptable. Yet someone is buying it. This steps out of the erotica for one scene in which the heroine does two men at once. This scene is not hot, it is stimulating.

GREEN WOMEN HAVE IMPOSSIBLY LARGE BREAST.

Let me repeat that the writing is above grade in this. I am not usually one who needs my fantasies to have impossibly large breast, but I have to admit that phrase stayed with me throughout the story.

On the other hand, the story is very short and does not follow the summary. The summary goes on about a women being forced. There is no force in this. She does everything willingly. She looks forward to doing these things. The Vikings are tender. I thought that was a little stupid. One Viking does not bother her the first night even though his body shows he is willing. She is a slave, but the Vikings want to win her attention with there abilities. A lot of women are not going to listen to this because they put the word Cum in the title. I believe that was a big mistake.

I liked the descriptive writing, all things Viking interest me and I like the fantasy atmosphere, I also like the narrator, I will be getting the next in the series.

Viking story it is not!

A short bit of erotica written in the time of Vikings with a couple of hunks with Viking names. The premise could lead to a good story. The narrator is almost there. If you like a quickie for a change...try it.

A wanton isn't a wonton!!

I can only imagine that Sylvia Day must of cringed if she listened to the numerous amount of words that were mispronounced in this audio book!

The last straw for me was toward the end of the book when the word wanton was pronounced as wonton! This was a great story (love Jared and Darcy) and I've yet to read or listen to a book by Sylvia Day that I haven't loved but the mispronounced words and the accent of the narrator (that sounded to be possibly from New Jersey in a story that is set in the Northwestern United States) was a distraction and disappointment.

Like....with soy sauce?

The story was good, but the narrator ruined the listen for me. She mispronounces so many words it becomes destracting. The one that finally did me in was wanton...mispronounced as in referencing a chinese dumpling. I couldn't think of anything else except being as horny as potsticker after that and shut the bok off.

Narrator kills this story

Gosh I hate to bash this book because I'm such a fan of Sylvia Day novels, but, this was not one of her best works. The storyline was decent and plausible, but it was tough to listen to because the narration was horrible. The narrators voice wasn't so bad but it was her characterizations that were incredibly bad. I'm not sure how narrators determine how a character will sound or what type of personality they are trying to convey through the narration, but every one of Skyye's voices in this book literally grated on my nerves. Other than this, the book was signature Day with the hot sex scenes...tempered a bit by horrible narration...and the plot was decent. Day does a good job of creating erotic romance thrillers with a hint of humor. This one missed the mark for me and I wouldn't recommend it unfortunately.

Glad I read the story in book form first otherwise I would have missed a good story. I can't believe that no one has listened to it and not retaped it. A lesson to always read the review before purchasing.

What made the experience of listening to Thug-A-Licious the most enjoyable?

It was a good story that flowed nicely and at a perfect pace. That narrator also did well.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Thug-A-Licious?

The robbery was such a pivotal point for thug. I was on edge. Intense scene.

What does Nicole Small bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

At first I didn't like the idea of her reading from a first person perspective, but I got over it. Each character had a distinctive voice. You could tell aspects of their personalities through her performance.

Required Reading for Valley of the Dolls Fans

Naked Came the Stranger is hilariously funny, arch, and vicious tale of New York City life. Its the ultimate get-in-bed-and-listen-all-day novel. Written as a hoax by Mike McGrady posing as a "demure Long Island housewife" Penelope Ashe, it was called "trash" in it's day, but it's like Faulkner comared to Fifty Shades of Gray. Why can't anyone write this level of trash today?
