A new perspective on the books of the Bible.

A new perspective - fast. fun. simple. An easy way to connect to each story and yet keep your mind flowing with the stories. The author should be proud of the work put into this - I look forward to the next one.

This is a lovely book that takes you through the Old Testament with poetry. It is certainly enjoyable reading the Old Testament as poetry. It provides a different way of looking at these familiar texts. Not only does the author put these writings to poetry there are wonderful readings she has inserted to elaborate on our precious God and His people. I found this book to be an encouragement in my life and I think if you read it you will also find encouragement. The author expresses truths that are very uplifting and touch the heart. For anyone who finds wading through the Scrpitures tedious I think you will discover pleasure in reading the Old Testament in this format. After reading this you will have a different view of God. I found comfort in perusing this and got the motivation to pick myself up and keep running the race. God is in control.

Beautiful Poetry

I enjoyed reading this book. I enjoyed the relaxing feel of reading The Bible in Poetry. Instead of reading the Bible as part of a bible study, this felt more like a casual reading that allowed for a different level of understanding. Years ago I had bought a translation of the Bible (The Message) that was more modern vernacular, which was supposed to be easier to understand and relate to. I found that the summaries written in poetry had that same feel. The context of the message was there, but written in a way that allows for easier understand.

The best way to describe this book is one that summaries the many Chapter of the Old Testament in the Bible using poetry instead of the Chapter and Verse format. I found the author's poetry to be beautiful and easy to understand.

I found the 'Sidebars' a little out of place. While the 'sidebars did explain the material and simplify the message, I thought that either direct quotes from the Bible would have been more appropriate.

Overall, I enjoyed reading The Bible in Poetry and I will probably reread sections. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a casual way to read a summary of the Bible in an easy to read form.

Would you like to read the Old Testament and have a better understanding of the whole story in a reasonable amount of time? The Bible in Poetry allows you to do just this! This would be a great book for a group Bible study and would also make a great Christmas gift for seasoned and new Christians. I highly recommend it! It's just one more way for me to stay in the Word!

The Bible in Rhyme

Teresa is quite talented.

Publisher's Summary:

Your worldview is fragmented without clearly understanding and studying your supernatural allies and adversaries. The book of Revelation - especially from Revelation 10, onwards - tells you details about your adversary, in a way that can add fullness to your worldview.

Looking around at our world in present tense, you can be convinced that the world will be - the way we see it today - forever. The book of Revelation tells us the world will not be - the way we currently see it - forever. It goes even further to tell us signs, so that we can be watchful for the shifts leading to the end of days.

I understand that thinking about "the end times" can be scary. Going for surgery can be scary. Public speaking can be scary. Taking a test can be scary. The one thing that can make a scary event more fathomable is preparation. Listening to and studying the book of Revelation, helps you to prepare for a time that otherwise would be very difficult to navigate. The Bible has guaranteed blessing for listening, studying, and applying vigilance to your life, from the book of Revelation. It says:

"Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who reads aloud [in the assemblies] the word of this prophecy, and blessed (happy, to be envied) are those who hear [it read], and who keep themselves true to the things which are written in it [heeding them and laying them to heart], for the time [for them to be fulfilled] is near." Revelation 1:3

The series, The End Times: What Happens Next?, was written to help you understand and apply the book of Revelation to your life. It is vital that we prepare for the return of our Savior, and that we are mindful of our world from His perspective, which far transcends our own. This audiobook, and its counterparts in the series, will help you to apply vigilance to your daily life in preparation for the events written about in the book of Revelation.
