Format: Unabridged

Length: 52 mins

Language: English

Release date: 03-04-15

Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 1 votes

Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10

Publisher's Summary:

Dingo the dwarf, Igor the eagle, and Oonzil Windlestraw set out on a quest for the great wizard, Master Zarvin. They end up transporting some very precious cargo across the forested Dropull Mountains to Clover's tower. On the way dangers abound, and the stakes are high, for all sorts of deadly creatures live in these parts. Adventure awaits any of you brave enough to take The Greatest Quest.

If you have read the Crimzon and Clover short stories, you will know that Master Zarvin is the kind, old wizard who took Clover in and taught her how to harness the magic she wields. These stories predate all but the first two Crimzon and Clover short stories and even feature the dragon Royal from the Locus Poll-nominated international best-selling YA hit The Dragoneer Saga. These tales are for readers ages seven and up, but if you have read the Dragoneer Saga or just The Royal Dragoneers, you will want to find out this bit about Prince Richard's mighty dragon and where it came from. Just because these stories are YA doesn't mean they are only for young readers. After all, people who read fantasy are always young at heart.

Four Stars

I love imaginary storys that are well written

Great book

Great book good for any age to read

I enjoy reading M

Well written and tied in with the other books well. I enjoy reading M, R. Mathias' work.

It All Comes Together

Dingo the dwarf, Igor the eagle, and Oonzil Windlestraw come together to embark upon a difficult and dangerous quest. Up to this point I had wondered how the first two books in the series related, but this made everything make sense. I enjoyed getting to know what the respective parties were like before coming together. My only disappointment was that the quest, while beset with a troll, did not seem epic and resolved rather quickly. I'd have loved to read more peril, but that's just me.

As with books one and two, Mathias does a masterful job of world-building. A quick, but enjoyable read.

Cute story youth would enjoy it. Keep writing. I wouldn't read when I was young, so I read a lot now and I enjoy all kinds of re

I don't like doing these reviews so I hope this meets the required words and you can take it from here

Title: The Able Child For Life: Art Rocks

Subtitle: Simon and Sophie Meet the Sculpture That Comes Alive

Author: Kenth Bender

Narrator: Daniel Morin

Format: Unabridged

Length: 24 mins

Language: English

Release date: 02-26-15

Publisher: Gutenberg Reloaded

Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10

Publisher's Summary:

Who doesn't love art? Simon and Sophie, that's who.

The cousins ditch their class tour of the museum because art is BORING. But, while exploring all the rooms and corridors on their own, they enter a world of mystery and suspense. This fantasy audiobook for the seven to 10-year-old takes Simon and Sophie on a personalized tour of the museum by one of its sculptures. Arthur, who was turned to stone with his grandfather years ago, comes to life when the cousins enter the room his exhibit is in. After Simon and Sophie recover from the shock, Arthur shows them all the wonders the museum holds. But once the tour is over, he has to go back into the sculpture. Just before he freezes in place, he tells the cousins what they can do to help him and his grandfather become alive again - and stay alive.

An Engaging Story in Pictures & Words

The story told herein is not standard kid's fare. There is a full plot and narrative, with all of the elements of a written story, yet enhanced visually. The dialogue between Simon and Sophie is realistic and involved, so the reader is not just looking over a couple of sentences on the page, it takes you by the hand and guides one along the path these two cousins take on their adventure in the museum.

The plot unfolds then as the two characters wander on their own tour through an incredibly fascinating art collection the museum houses, until they encounter a very 'special' one who teaches them more about art and life than any the tour guide could have provided.

Full of humor, sadness, and infused with a love of art and a desire to spread that love to the world, but only as it can and needs to be distinguished between 'real' art & 'Kitsch.' Visual arts, music, literature-- all are championed herein. This is a book that will be sure to leave a lasting impression upon the reader -really of any age- and I don't doubt it will foster an appreciation of art for life.

It certainly did so in myself. Additionally, there's a concise dictionary of terms at the end, a glossary provided, and a brief quiz and activities. Very comprehensive & highly recommended. Particularly for schools, or students on an individual level.

Top class book...

Autor:: Irmgard Kramer

Erzähler: Jodie Ahlborn

Format: Unabridged

Spieldauer: 3 hrs and 9 mins

Sprache: Deutsch

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 07-24-14

Herausgeber: Argon Verlag

Kategorien: Kids, Ages 8-10
