LOVE!

This one is even better than the first. Jett Mayfield is a hottie!!! Loved all of it and love the narrator Romy Nordlinger. On to the last one - I don't want 'em to end!

good story ,bad narrator

Good story but I couldn't fall in love with him due to his voice. sounded like a 100 years old man :( annoying.

I LOVED IT ALL

This is book 2 of a love affair trilogy and, if you haven't already listened to book 1, then I strongly suggest you start there otherwise you'll be missing out on the intensity, passion and back-story that makes up this wonderful, but bitter-sweet, love story that'll have you saying "oh just another chapter" right up until the end.

After their breakup Brooke has run off to Italy to meet her dying relative and to explore her inheritance however things, and people, aren't what they seem. Jett (Mmmm don't you just luv him) is not going to give up on their relationship and follows Brooke to Italy where he slowly tries to win her back and their sizzling sexual chemistry cannot be ignored. However, they're in danger as they uncover damaging information that threatens everything.

There's interesting secondary characters - particularly Jett's friend Kenny and Brooke's friend Sylvie who's an entertaining and humorous character and they give a sub romance that'll hopefully conclude in book 3.

Worth a credit? There's mystery, suspense, danger, action, a few surprises, an enjoyable romance with some sweet, tender and heartfelt lines, lust, sex, love and a mouthwatering drop-dead gorgeous sexy hero.... so what's not to love!! YES a very creditworthy addition to this trilogy which moves both the plot, and the H/H's love story, on nicely.

great story of what it's like to be a struggling musician and do it with your wife and best friend. lots of turns and twist but I throughly enjoyed this book . has sexual in counters but they are they graphic.

Totally Consumed in O and Sethy!

Loved it... What a way to write a second book. This book picks up right after book 1, well maybe a couple of weeks after.

Sethy is a pro fighter now and O, is tagging along for the ride... Great smexing, and drama from these two just like book 1. Olivia's bfff and Seth's bff have a very interesting side-story going on... I really hope they get a book soon... I so want to know what is going on in Jackson's head.

Glad to see O's mom doing better....

I really am on pins and needles for book 3 b/c what happen at the end... OMG! That is gonna be one fight I don't want to miss...real or not... I can't wait!!!!

Such a waste

What disappointed you about Too Consumed?

This book gets one star from me because it was BORING!!!!!!! Olivia was a judgemental prude and I did not like her character. I thought after they started their relationship, things would be more interesting, I guess wrong. I'm mad I bought the narration, such a waste. And the sex scenes left a lot to be desired

The story could easily stop with this book, but I'm so glad it didn't. I wanted to learn more about this couple.

Meh...

Not sure about this one. I like the story and the continuation of the characters from book one, but it seems a bit immature and I'm having a hard time with the narrator. I know book 3 has a new narrator, and I'll listen just to wrap the story up. Not terrible, not a favorite either.

Never Capitalized on Potential

This is one of those books that was almost very good. Not great, but it almost deserved a "very" in front of the good. What kept me from adding the "very" is a little difficult to express.

On the one hand, the author presents two interesting central characters. Both have excessive baggage, both are trying to live a narrowly defined life that no longer works for them, both live with tragedy. And when the book focuses on the evolution of those characters it deserves the "very good". You feel the female character's painful awkwardness and the male character's fear of further rejection.

She looses it though with the way the plot is hurried. The two characters don't have sufficient time or history to build a relationship which is born out with the impractical and unrealistic way she finally gets them together. I felt like the last quarter of the book was the most important, but got the least amount of time or attention from the author.

One other complaint is that the male character's issues arose from a very serious health problem. I don't doubt that someone could fall in love with a person they recently met, even knowing that the person suffered from a debilitating illness with a very poor prognosis. But I do doubt that they could fall in love and totally ignore the issue. The fact that this was so lightly glossed over really bothered me.

Juvinile and pointless

Storyline:

Cold hearted corporate bitch in a loveless engagement to a corporate prick, gets advice for friend to "look on the bright side".

Within days, she:

- finds love of her life

- changes careers from a soul sucking job to her life's passion

- reunites with estranged family

- redesigns her whole living space/enviroment

- changes her entire life

- lives happily ever after

All this highly predictable, highly telegraphed, with shallow, self-evident insights which cause the character no effort or soul-searching to achieve.

Suddenly everything "magically" falls into place, and without effort or thought, she transforms her entire life, due to a serious of fortunate misfortunes which all just seem to work themselves out because she's more positive.

You're left wondering: if all this was this easy, then why hasn't she done it/realized it before.

After all, you can see all these changes/realizations coming from a mile away, so why couldn't she?

In the end, you're left with 7 hours of time filler, which didn't anything new in any way.

You'll have forgotten about this book days after you've read it... which seems to indicate that it's time you might as well spend on something more...

Holy hell, this is one story that bends the mind and has you reaching for your significant other while wondering what this author will do to top this story. Seriously, HOT doesn't even begin to describe everything that occurs in this book. But in addition to that, it really is a very sweet story of a man who falls in love at first sight with a woman who doesn't believe he could want her. A hero willing to give the woman he loves anything even though it might kill him, a heroine who discovers beauty isn't just in the eye of the beholder, and a game that might bring them both down if they aren't careful makes Bases Loaded one spectacular story.... I cant help it; I fell in love with the hero, Antonio (Tony) Ramirez in the first chapter. Yes, hes a little over the top, he has no filter, and comes off a wee bit crazy but dammit, its hard not to love him when he falls in love at first sight and admits to it!

Clare is one of those heroines that most women as some time in their lives can identify with. She has big time body issues and a whole host of horrible memories to go with them. Teased by mean girls and women and a couple of unsuccessful romances have only proven what she feels that she isn't desirable to men. Tony has one hell of a reputation with women but the minute he sees Clare he is completely smitten and he lets her know. I love the way he tries to prove to her over and over again that he finds her desirable in a way he doesn't find other women. When he begins to make headway, Clare questions him about his membership in a secret club and requests that he help her become a member. Outrage doesn't even begin to describe his feelings on this subject...

There is so much I want to say about this book but I cant without giving away too much of the plot. I will say that Tony does make Clares dreams come true in more ways than one. I think Clare learns some valuable lessons along the way and most of all she trusts Tony with her whole self. In addition, they both learn that together nothing can tear them apart...

This is the 3rd book in this series and i recommend you listen to book 1 Inside Heat, and book 2 Going Deep. Yes these book are so full of Hot Sex so if you cant handle the heat best stay away... I can't wait for the forth book !! :)

Coming Home

While Trinity Falls, the first book in the Finding Home series, is the story of Megan McCloud's and Ean Fever's relationship, it also sets the stage for the series with interesting characters, small-town gossip, meddling, and conflicts galore. The main characters, Megan McCloud and Ean Fever have known each other since childhood. Megan, a lifelong bookworm who was reared by her grandparents after the death of her parents, attended college out-of-state but returned to Trinity Falls to run the family bookstore, which she turned into a huge success. Ean, the popular small-town jock, also attended college and law school out-of-state and achieved his dream of becoming a successful corporate attorney. But where Megan always knew her life belonged in Trinity Falls, it took the death of Ean's father for him to realize the same. Returning home, Ean finds that although much is the same, more is different, which includes his friends and his mom. He also finds that where he and Megan were only friends as children, now they relate to each other differently as adults, and it leads to romance. Unfortunately Megan doesn't want to completely release her heart to Ean because of her doubts that he will remain in town forever. This is a well-written story with great storylines, well-developed characters, realistic conflicts, and a great setting. Patricia Sargeant (aka Regina Hart) has written a wonderful story and I can't wait for the next in the series.

It was okay but not as good as the the 1st book

I really enjoyed My Favourite Mistake so I had high hopes for this sequel. Unfortunately, this book was just okay. I was not blown away by this story. It had so much potential. This book moved at a snails pace and I felt like nothing really exciting happened.Jos Archer used to be the perfect girl, perfect grades, bright future; it was all mapped out for her until it wasn't. When an event has her spiraling out of control her sister, Renee steps in. In the first book, we met Jos's Sister Renee & I really liked her BUT in this book she was acting more like a strict mother rather than a concerned big sister! She is forced to leave her college in New Hampshire to move in with Renee and the gang (Taylor, Hunter, Paul, Mace, Renee and Darah) in Maine and transfer schools. This way Renee can keep a close eye on her sister and hopefully figure out what triggered her sudden change. Most of the book Jos acted like a moody emo teenager but it was just a defense mechanism to try to keep people away. Sometimes it seemed a bit over the top & started to get on my nerves. Jos isn't ready to let anyone in or expose her secret. She soon begins to realize that it isn't as easy as it seemed especially when Dusty Sharp enters her life. He's always around & doesn't appear to be in any hurry to leave. Dusty has his own past that left him a changed man, but his change allowed him to escape his own destruction. Hes finally in a better place, making the right choices and finding it difficult to stay away from the one girl he should not want.The story was a slow starter for me, it seemed to take forever to get to the point where Dusty and Jos were ready to admit their attraction and even longer to discover what her secret was.If you are looking for steamy hot action it's not in this book. There are a few rated R moments but only towards the end. It is more of a YA story. This was a nice attempt at a sweet coming of age romance but I just wanted more...more character connection, more intimacy, and more angst...not so much bitchy characters!

Awesome 2nd series book

I love how the stories blend so perfectly together. This is an amazing author. Well written books. This has been one of my best reads. Love this series.

Yes I have listened to all three books in the Perfect Trilogy. She does an excellent job - her voice is clear and she expresses so much meaning in her words.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the fact that her thoughts about him were not quite true. So funny - that has happened to me a few times.

Great series! In fact all of Julie's books I have read/listened are excellent!

Sweet Romance

The second book in the series is just as great as the first!! I am really digging these kinda deep romances. If you cry at emotional relationship moments you should have tissues at the ready, I needed them!

Christine is a always trying to get her father's approval. It is sad that she basis her whole life on getting him to praise her. She is such a fun and sassy character other than that one major flaw. Pair her up with fun loving Alec who lives to play and sparks fly. I love that he works so hard to get her.

The beginning is loads of flirty fun, and the misunderstands made me giggle. I love the way they both found out the truth about each other.

I did feel like Alec was more invested in the relationship, but in the end she had a breakthrough too. The mixed narrative giving each charterer's POV really helps you understand each of their struggles. They both have baggage, although his is considerably less. It was great seeing them work through things. The self-help book pops up throughout this book again, it seems oddly appropriate.

I listened to the audiobooks narrated by Jane Cramer, who does a lovely job. She has a smooth read that is wonderfully paced. She definitely suits the series.

Best ever!!!!!!

I have official declared my favorite book and series. I so wanted the third book. The narrator spectacular. The translator of the original book did a great job, extremely impressed. The author is so gifted. I would love to read all her books when they are translated to english. Passion and intrique are the best part of this book!!!!!!

Very good book with some drawbacks

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Matilde needs more backbone. Her behaviour does not make sense for someone with such a courageous cause, with selfless passion for the sick and less fortunate. Her frailty and frequency of emotional breakdowns conflicts with her brave and altruistic driven nature. The author could have better developed Matilde's maturity and emotional growth to make the character more likable and realistic.

What did you like best about this story?

Passion is the 2nd installment in the Year of Fire trilogy so you must read Obsession first. This "chapter" continues the love story between Eliah and Matilde after she leaves him for the Congo. Whereas Obsession depicts the intense and obsessive relationship between the lovers, this book carries them further away from one another and increases the angst felt by the reader. There is a bit more international intrigue between the Middle Eastern factions, and the dictators from African nations and, yes, the "Voice Box" is back. He is a crack up and lends a snicker to the story every now and then. Interludes with Matilde's father who is shipped off to the Sheik, and traitors sealing deals with Saddam Hussein, and the fight for yellow cake add historical references and gave this reader a close up of the ugly underworld of war and the insanity that drives desire for absolute power.

There is a pack of lusty dogs after Matilde in her new digs, the orphanage and hospital of the Congo. Everyone seems out to get her, kill her or woo her into his bed. Still a mercenary, and ever resourceful, Al Saud wants his love watched and protected thousands of miles away.
