Good light read

This one isn't my favorite in the series, but it is good. The narration was spot on.

I really like this series

I liked the story. I liked the main characters. I liked the secondary characters from the previous books. I do enjoy Elisabeth Naughton's suspense/romances but I wish she'd correct her use of "could care less."

Great Christian book!!!

Absolutely! Sometimes it is hard to find Christian books that are interesting and good. This one is excellent! Many other books have sex and bad language. This one has a love story but without the sinful things included. This is the Fifth book I have listened to by this author. She doesn't disappoint!

Carson...He truly loved Devon and wanted to take care of her. He was a gentleman at all times.

What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

She is an excellent narrator. She used proper inflection and was very professional is using her voice for each character.

Her past may destroy their future...

I knew Lynnette Bonner could write some pretty good westerns, I knew she could do contemporary romance, and she does well in historical romances with intrigue. But I can now definitely say she is one of the most versatile authors I've read as she does romantic suspense very well.

The Unrelenting Tide was a real edge-of-your-seat story filled with twists and turns. I always enjoy trying to figure out the villain in books but Lynnette Bonner sure had me going and I got totally off track for quite awhile. The Unrelenting Tide is a great romantic suspense novel and well worth the time spent reading or, like I did, listening.

I listened to an Audible audiobook version and I have to say that it was one of the best ones I've listened to. The narrator was very good, and I enjoyed the enthusiasm and emotion she put into the story and characters.

Fun, fresh story and it's not your typical romance. Playboy knocked down a notch and finds himself working harder than ever and falling for a girl who's not like any woman he's ever dated before. Loved it! Will be listening to again!

Was listening to this book time well spent, what a question. At 6 hours it was surly an easy listen. I listen to my books while at work so sure it was time well spent.

I wouldnt listen to another book from this author and apparently this book has a part 2 and Im not interested in reading it.

Ben did a great job. I normally dont enjoy male narrators but he was great. The characters all had distinct voices.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I didnt hate this book at all I just really didnt enjoy the story. It felt rushed. The main characters transformation was just too quick. The concept of the storyline is not original which I dont think necessarily an issue its the execution of the storyline that I have a problem with. Everything happened so quickly and ended just too perfect. Ive never read a book where everyone and I mean everyone is happy in the end of the story. Everyone finds love; an entire town is saved its way too far-fetched. Then angry Katherine, I couldnt understand why she hated him so much. I see her disliking him but the extent of her anger just seemed strange.

For the hopeless romantic

If you're in love with love, this is a great series to check out. Return to You is about Olivia & Michael, two former sweethearts reunited under interesting circumstances orchestrated by Olivia's dad. Overall, I continue to enjoy this series, and would recommend it for lightweight listening. Although short, this story, like the others, was packed with heartwarming sappy romance and a textbook Happily Ever After. I loved it.

Disappointing

This is one of those books to which I give a high "roll my eyes" score. The situations, I feel, are solved in unrealistic ways. I also did not enjoy the narrator. It took me a while to get used to her very breathy style.

I am more into noir and light detective mysteries. I picked this out because it was funny and " made in Hawaii" It brought back many good memories from the places mentioned.

Near Perfect

I loved that the story seemed entirely plausible, though based on fate and good luck. But thats true in life many times; serendipity has a role. I also loved how the coupling unfolded. It was yummy with its romance, its maturity, its pacing, and the immense sharing beyond sex. There are few things more appealing than being witness to a strong man becoming willingly vulnerable with a mate who offers him the safety to do so.

McKenna has the uncommon, but oh so delicious, ability to be utterly and amazingly evocative with almost every word. For me, I equate her writing ability and her ability to draw listeners/readers in with the same ability that author Megan Hartanother fave of minehas. This ability is far too rare and, as such, always such a pleasant find for me, especially among authors of romance. It shows that romance authors can be as exquisite at their craft as any other serious author.

Regarding the romance, listeners should know that its not explicit with sexual language nor the description of the sex act, though it still might be too much for some listeners. Its sensual and detailed but not exactly explicitly erotic, at least not in the common raunchy sense, which Im not opposed to either. In fact, I think the sex act, intercourse that is, is fully described only twice, though there are other sexual encounters, albeit not numerous, IMO. These encounters primarily take the form of the h dominating the H.

The only negative for me and the only aspect that prevents this recording experience from being a five overall is that the author failed to clearly distinguish between words spoken and words thought. I struggled several times with the unclear line made between spoken words and thought words; that problem occurred too often, especially in the first 5 hours of the story. Still, it didnt detract from my pleasant experience with a McKenna novel once again.

I found H.M. Ward through Damaged and became intrigued with the Ferro boys. This story is about Jonathan, the youngest of the three brothers and his life is always getting him into trouble. He has a way with the ladies and cant seem to stay out of the press. His mother sends him away to Mississippi for the summer so things will cool down. There is where he meets Cassie Hale, a virgin. He can't believe she thinks she can hold out for Mr. Perfect to give her V-card away. Stripped is about Cassie and Jonny, its about their short romance, their summer fling and the heartbreak that followed. A large majority of this book is a flashback to when Jon met Cassie. Their relationship was amazing. Jon was truly changed by Cassie. She changed him more then he thought possible. The relationship between these two is filled with sexual tension! Cassie was great. I adored her character. She was shy but with smart witty comebacks whennecessary. He was relentless to pursue her. Jon's story gives you a bit of two broken souls that at one time were the only thing that seemed to put each other together, and at the same time were the only thing that seemed to be able to tear them apart.... Forward to present day and Cassie is a stripper at his brother Peters bachelor party. Jonathan cant figure what happened to Cassie for her to end up here. He finds himself hurt and still angry but still wants to help her out of her situation, whatever it is. Unfortunately, the book basically ends there which is frustrating.There were a lot of unresolved issues by the end of the book.So, I will patiently wait for book #2.

I got this book since it seemed like a great story line & it didn't disappoint. John & Cassie's characters are cute, funny and one can't help but route for them. The narrators were each so amazing that they made the characters burst to life. Only major complaint, that so much time was spent on flash backs instead of spending more time on the current moment. I was so into the story that when it finished the way it did, I yelled when I saw that I didn't just forget to download the second half. It was over. Only to find out that the second book isn't due out til sometime next year. The wait is going to drive me insane. This book is just that awesome.

Don't mind a cliffhanger but...

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

As stated in the headline, I do not mind a cliffhanger at all. I do not mind buying books that come in a series but this series I will not continue. When I read/listen to a book in a series, something about the characters or the storyline has to intrigue me enough to make me purchase the next in the series.

Cute Sexy Story

Desperate woman kidnaps hot man and ties him to a bed. What's not to like about that??? It starts out good and keeps it going all the way to the end. I enjoyed the story and I loved the sexy parts.I also enjoyed that the characters discovered their sexuality in each other. That was a nice change from other books. It was worth my credit.

Ahhh Shayla, you did it again! What a wonderful book, there was a who done it, some ultra steamy scenes and witty writing!!!

Kary's life has gone to crap...she is a waitress, working through college at age 23, and her only family was arrested for embezzlement. She knows her brother is innocent, but she doesn't know anything about banks and firewalls what can she do, she needs a plan. The plan she comes up with is to kidnap the computer wiz hired by the bank to tighten up security....shame he is hot as heck!!! She doesn't know what to do now that she has him....but the tables turn rather quickly and he knows exactly what he wants to do to her!

This book had me at minute one and never let go! Wish the narrator had a better male voice, but other than that it was totally scrumptious!

LEAVE OUT CLICHES/METAPHORS/SIMILES - 'HOTTER THAN A PANCAKE ON THE GRIDDLE' (okay I made that one up because I didn't want to waste time re-listening to catch all the inane ones in the book) - One in just about every paragraph, each one more stupid than the last - NO LIE!

ABSOLUTE MUST READ/LISTEN!!!! Tina Folsom has become one of my favorite authors. This book has what it takes...the main characters are charming and their chemistry is beyond HOT. Can't wait to delve into the next book of this series.

I would. I liked the book, the plot and everything was good with that. I took me a little bit to get used to the narrator. His voice is nice, it just doesn't fit with this book.

Not much substance. Mild plot. Sex scenes appear to be thrown in perhaps to his the story line. Narrator did his best but it wasn't enough to save this audio book.
