Excellent!

I'm a big fan of the "Bodyguard series" of this author and have now read all of the installments of this series. Not in order though, which works out fine since Cindy Gerard always makes perfect connections to previous books.

I left Jase "Plowboy" Wilson's and Sweet Baby Jane's romance for the end because I wasn't really sure what to make of it since none of the Garrett family members is involved. I won't bother anybody who reads my comments with a summary of the plot since many others have done so perfectly well, just let me tell you that I really enjoyed this book!

The chemistry between the two main characters was great, the sex sizzling (as only Gerard manages) and I very much liked the brief follow-ups on the Garrett brothers.

However, there were some weak points in this book. Sometimes I thought that there were too many sub-characters involved that made the plot slightly chaotic. I also thought that the motive behind the chase and attacks on Sweet Baby Jane were a bit naive and even worse was the fact that an ex-special ops and decorated U.S. Army Ranger (=Jase) didn't perceive earlier that Sweet Baby Jane was tracked.

Never mind and in any case this was a very nice read, with a lot of suspense and a gripping love story between two very likeable people. I can only recommend this and all the other books from the series.

Nice romance with exhausting suspense plot

I was happy to know that Jason Wilson would get his story told. I liked him when I first met him on Nolan's book (To The Edge) and he didn't disappoint in his book. I liked that there was more to the drunken and beaten Army Ranger Nolan had to save. I liked that he fell down but stood up again. I liked that he joined E.D.E.N and that we got to have this book.

Janey, the sweet rockstarâ I liked her too but it took me half of the book to warm up to her. Luckily she was not one of those heroines that know they need to be careful but put themselves in danger and are TSTL.

And Jason and Janey as a couple were adorable. I liked how it all started as attraction-at-first-sight but as they got to know each other, they become more. It never felt that it had only passed a couple of weeks because their relationship growth felt natural.

So what bothered me? The suspense aspect WAS TOO MUCH and not in a good way.

Nice ending of the series

When I read "To the Brink" I was really looking forward to reading Dallas' and Amy's story. Now the moment has come and I have to say - not bad at all!

Both main characters carry their psychological baggages and both deal with their problems in different ways. However, it's obvious that Amy has dealt with her horrible experiences from the Philippines in a more pro-active way. OK, I don't know how credible her transformation from victim to battle-ready amazon is, but this didn't really diminish the pleasure of reading her story. On the other hand, Dallas was just great (and a bit more plausible). The caring way he dealt with Amy was very moving and of course in the end she rewarded him for this. I just loved it!

Cindy Gerard is gifted with a very rare talent: she manages very artfully to introduce future main characters in her present plot. In this book she presented Gabe and Jenna so cleverly that these two nearly overshadowed Dallas and Amy. But only nearly, because I wouldn't have wanted to miss their story.

A fast-paced, exciting book. For Gerard-fans an absolute must! If you haven't yet read books from this author you have really missed something!

Different feeling to this book with new characters' introductions

I was really excited to read Dallas and Amy's story and can say it didn't disappoint. I really liked their reunion and them getting to spend time together again. But I felt I didn't get to know them entirely. It was like just touching the surface and not getting into deep. It disappointed me a little.

What disappointed me a lot and what definitely lowers my rating was not having all the Garretts in the mission in Argentina. I understand why Cindy Gerard would use instead the next series hero: that way you get to know him here, but because of that it felt like a different book. Yes, there was Dallas Garrett but it didn't feel like a Bodyguard series book completely.

With this I'm not saying I hated Gabe Jones (the next series hero), on the contrary, I'm intrigued and I especially loved the tiny parts between him and Jenna (the next series heroine).

This 5 book set was mostly okay. Though I didn't much like the 4th book. I just could not connect with Bobby and Sam. I also did find the sex a bit much. But over all It was a nice set

romance collection

This is a 5 book collection of different stories of billionaires that fall in love when they least expect it or want it. Each book had its own storyline and kept you interested. The pace for each of the books was good considering there were so many so that you were not bored of listening.

I would recommend it as a good listen.

All five of the stories have differing themes,,mafia...office romance ...something to interest anyone..youll find a favorite among them and enjoy the rest. All strong men and women, some women more than others. Generally I like when the man has to work for her affection.

Plenty of hot and romantic scenes

narrator better in some stories than others but all in all emotion and timing well done. She did a great job with her British accent.

This book should have taken a bit more time to develop the plot to get the reader more involved. Instead, it is so short & jumpy it is more like a low budget soap opera- Over the top & not trying hard enough. Just not satisfying. I expect more out of Patterson, even for a book shot.

I only got through a few minutes of the story so I cant rate the story. The narration is unbelievably terrible! The female sounds like she is an ancient granny witch trying to tell an old tale. Would give less than one star if possible here.

If you are an Angela Dawe Scott's accent fan, this is a good one. If you are a fan of Nora Roberts "MacGregors series" (I own all!" ) this is a a good one.

Snow or sunshine

I enjoyed this Christmas wedding inspired story. If something can go wrong it probably will. Such as hard to please parents, the weather of the proposed wedding venue and a broken ankle. When the wedding has to be cancelled and the venue changed from Chicago to Georgia things will start to work out for the best. The narrator did a great job with the characters. Sweet Love Story!

This book was super sweet. I loved seeing the relationship between Ryker & Jackson grow. The beginning of Jackson & Kennedy's relationship was a little odd because it was quick and a little more than just bossy. Their relationship grew on me real quick though. I've really enjoyed this series up to this point and can't wait for the next book!

Best Audiobook, Story and Narration of 2016

This book will probably shock a lot of people. Most know that I'm all about my smutty reads/listens and paranormal. However, every now and then you stumble upon a book that resembles your life or obstacles you've faced, that you can't help but become one with the book and the characters.

Anne Jolin is such an amazing author, and she really gave me the feels with this book. I spoke a little more about it in my LIVE video yesterday. Both her characters faced life altering circumstances, but regardless of their situations, they found what they needed in each other. Lucy Rivers as Kennedy nailed this performance. I cried, big tears and snot and felt the raw emotions that erupted from Lucy's depiction of Kennedy. In fact, I understood exactly how she felt. Aiden captured Jackson so well and gave me a deeper look into a man who is suffers from a mental illness. I don't know how much research, if any was done, but I felt the pain, the darkness and Jackson's determination to push through past demons. Great delivery by Snow.

Please give the Rock Falls Series a try.
