Donovan Livingston Is Stunning

I am pretty stunned by some of the less than complimentary remarks about Donovan Livingston's book, Lift Off. When the book is paired with having Donovan perform the remarkable piece live, both truly do live in the stars as people are genuinely inspired. And how often does that happen, that we have a vision of what "should be" in how we educate our youth. What is the worth of a book that inspires a vision and aspirations? $7? You bet. Laughable that anyone would question the cost. Arts North Carolina had Donovan as our keynote speaker for our major conference and Legislative action day, and I continue to order books in quantity to send to sponsors, speakers, volunteers, etc. Come on folks!!!!

Help me a lot!

Self Esteem means a reflection of a person's overall subjective emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. Each and every one of us has it but some are very shy that's why we tend to say sorry to the things that we did not do. After reading this book, I have come to look at myself differently as a person. Not only is this an interesting read psychologically but the exercises employed by the author is clever devices for changing and accepting the way you think. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for ways to change their negative thought patterns.

Short, but a good book

I was expecting it to be longer than 60 pages (some of which are half a page). However, it is still a fantastic book and the author gets her/his point across.

Not easy to read on Kindle

The Kindle version is very hard to read since there are no paragraphs - just long walls of text. Content is helpful but this formatting issue overshadows much of the usefulness.

Helpful and informative

Excellent Read!

Raimond Volpe done an amazing job in writing "Success 1010 for Living", Why? Because he was thinking about each one of us when he wrote it. I really appreciate the experiences and wisdom he shares pertaining to real life moments of change. This book makes you responsible for your life. You are left with no excuse to why you are not successful. This book is great for the young and old because it lets you know right now is a good time to be your best. I could have zipped through the book but I allowed it to be just what it is, "A Class for Life". I really appreciated and enjoyed this class and already I am encouraged to make better choices with my time. This is a keeper for your library.

The book may help to realize your potential

I'd like to start by saying a big thank you to Booktasters, the author Raimond Volpe and his team for providing me with a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Success 1010 introduces us to stuckburies and blockages - what it is and how we develop them. Part two of the book defines and explains what blockages might hold us from a successful and happy life - I, jokingly, called it the pit of despair. Part three consists of principles that would lead us to success - for me it was the ladder from the pit.

Every chapter of the book contains a large amount of thoughtfully constructed information. My engineering half of the brain loved it so much. It seems the author knew exactly what he wanted to say. It is well-written with lots and lots of resources, a lot of examples based on real people we all have heard of at least once.

Explanations of principles, ideas and techniques are very simple. It was really spooky when I was listening to some alpha waves music on YouTube to later, the same day, read about them in one of the last chapters. Kind of felt like confirmation that I'm on a right path.

I think this book should be handed to graduate students along with diplomas. It would save so much time and energy for so many people.

A reference guide for all

Success may mean different to everyone but author has compiled a lot of factors which helps one to understand what success is to him or her. A lot of time people think they can't be successful this author has figured as a blockage which he calls a stuckbury. He further explain these with examples and details principles to stay successful. A good read that can be kept as a reference guide to be successful.

I couldn't recommended Success1010 highly enough.

Success1010 for living was exactly what I needed. If you are experiencing a set back, this book is just what you need to get you through it.

Great read!

Liked it but it was a bit repetitive.

As I recall this line is a thank you from the Lakota children in one of the Sioux religious boarding schools in the Dakotas. It means ; May the great spirit bless you. This short, easy to read, well put together book gives one some insight to the thoughts of Native Americans. Some of these could end up on your desk top as motivational words, some might be models for the way to lead your daily life, and all are a picture of how Native Americans viewed life and their environs. Perfect little book to pick up when nothing is being done to pass some time and ponder what is being said.
