ENDING RUINED BOOK....

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I have listened to the Steel Brothers Series and knew a bit about Abe from those books and was looking forward to this one. I won't give anything away but have to say that the last bit ruined the entire book for me. After listening to all the other MJ Fields books I am completely surprised at how she let this one end. So disappointed.

What about Lauren Sweet and James Cavenaugh s performance did you like?

Abe Stars

To be honest I wasnt sure what I was getting with this book. I loved other MJ Fields titles.

So getting a glimpse in to this world was pretty freaking cool if I am honest with you. I to feel like sometimes the character cross over could be smoother, only because I cant remember how some of them connected to the other. Maybe I should have read the series in order I dont know. But it still all worked well.

I loved Abes personality, his demeanour. He is everything you think of when you think Alpha male.

There first encounter is kind of cool, I really enjoyed that whole scene. Even though Abe is 26 and Nikki is 22 he seems much older, whether thats from experience or what not.

BDSM and Clothes

This is a well written book that goes into far too much detail on the details of bondage, clothing, and the experiencing of pain. I would have welcomed more words concerning their feelings and the arc of their overall relationship than 3-5 minutes spent on the pain experienced during one whipping than was given to the "bottom's son." If you can take or even enjoy highly nuanced descriptions of bondage and pain then you may like this audio; if not, then it's not for you.

Not my kind of love story... But Great narrator!

i dont really make comments. .. but so much work put in to it, i had to say something... too much punishments to achieve sexual pleasure, maybe for some people this is great but for me this was very sad, painful and desapointed, there was a moment i even think about stop listening but my hope that the story will change and they would realise that to love each other they dont need to be bad was bigger lol... so i kept listening but there was no turn or twist in the story until it reach the end! however i love the narrator and the effect works done the book, it made me feel as im really in the book.. great job!

Holding Hannah Holds Your Attention

So far, I've loved everything I've read by this author, and this book is no exception. Skillfully written, and exceptionally well edited (NO mistakes found, at all!), this book delves into a subject I would have avoided if I had known ahead of time what it was about.

I'm glad I didn't, because my own closed mindedness, would have caused me to miss a great read, and would have precluded my gaining a certain amount of understanding. I guarantee, you'll like Hannah and feel empathy for her. You'll also be intrigued by Sam, the hunky, dark dom who comes to her rescue.

If you're OK with BDSM and with explicit sex scenes, I heartily recommend "Holding Hannah" and the other books in this series.

Well Written - Good Characters - Interesting Plot - HOT Story

I will admit to having a strong preference for well-written stories that feature good, well-developed characters and interesting plots. Far too many of the free ebooks on this site are full of typos, poor word choices, missing or wrong punctuation, characters that do things that make no sense, and plots with holes big enough to drive a stampede of elephants through. So, when I find a FREE story that lacks those flaws, I am pleasantly surprised, especially when it is by an author I have never heard of, despite her having many stories here on Amazon.

This is a very explicit, adult story, involving grown-ups doing grown-up things. It is NSFW, not PC, and involves alpha males, a female with serious issues, and sex so hot it will curl your toes.

Great author - poor audio

Have read every J.S. and love them. Listen to a lot of audiobooks. This was one of the worst I've suffered through. The recording kept repeating itself throughout the duration, and the last women's portion was obviously being Read -- not performed. Better to read this one than listen to it.

Good book - Narrators - Guy/ok Women/HORRIBLE

What made the experience of listening to Lyon's Crew the most enjoyable?

NOTHING - The gentleman doing the narrating was okay but the two women doing it was just horrible! I winced each time they starting talking. Just ruined a really good book. I wish the guy had done the whole book and that is not saying much because he was great either but he was ten times better than the women.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?

Stella Bloom, Vanessa Chambers or Emma Taylor.

Just sad because I really like this author and I liked this book a lot when I read it, but the audio version was just bad.

Ms Silver needs help

I normally do not write feedback but I just had too. I LOVE Ms Silver's books. This is one of my favorite series BUT the female voices for this book were just WRONG!!!!!! That little girl voice for this book were UGH!!!! She is suppose to be EIGHTEEN, not eight!

Historical erotica!

--I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Historical erotica, this is a fun one. While you have to put aside some reality, the story of a mail order bride coming to Montana from the city is always interesting. What could make you drop everything and marry someone you never met? Well in this case, Catherine had her hands full from the first day. Jake, a dominant male, had some ideas of how a wife should be. I do think that Catherine's naivete was a little much at times...if someone was putting a pill in me and all day long I just wanted to have sex, I might have caught on. Seems this town of women were all a little blind to the facts. But beside that, the book was a quick listen, fun and very erotic!

Lauren Sweet is a favorite of mine as a narrator(she does the Blueberry Lane series by Katy Regnery) and continues to give an incredible performance with this story. This was my first Brian Hunter narration, and his voice was perfect for the Montana man of Jake, sounding just as I figured a rancher would.

DON'T BOTHER

All I can truly say, having lived in Montana for over 15 years of my life, this books accusations of a lifestyle common to anywhere in Montana is a LIE! I've Never heard such garbage as this! Not worth money, time, or any of one's intelligence to listen to.

First time with the author and narrator...Loved It

I haven't ever read this author or listened to this narrator and I am glad I did. I loved the story, it was extremely well written, I laughed, I cried and it had some really nice twists I didn't see coming.

The sex scenes were hot without being vulgar and there wasn't SO many there wasn't a plot. There is a fantastic balance between sex and story, the secondary characters are also very well written with their own depth, enough there could be spin offs but it's ok if there isn't.

I will definitely put this Author AND Narrator on my must listen to list. The narrator did an incredible job with all the different characters voices (and there are a lot), I always knew WHO was speaking just by the voice, a lot of narrators you can tell it's a man doing a woman's voice or visa versa and the narrator did such s good job with the male voices I totally forgot this was a single narration.

I will definitely listen to this book again and again.

Sweet with potential for great

This story is sweet even though the couple has hardship either the author or narrator rush/gloss over the pain, which makes the book less than it's potential.

Too Much Drama!

I wanted to read a little angst--something to make my heart cry a little and choke me up. This was supposed to be young love misspent. Yet, all it turned out to be was a bunch of high school drama.

I love strong heroines. Ari definitely has potential. Yet she faints and cries when she sees the girls who hurts her in college. I am not sure this is anything more than a high school romance. None of this seems plausible. Only a foolish man agrees to meet the girls who he is sure is mentally ill. It seems like no one has common sense.

It was obvious to me early on that one of the culprits was the sister. I just don't know what to make of this book. The author has potential.

I could listen to this over and over

If you could sum up Hook Me in three words, what would they be?

Summing up Hook Me in three words I would have to say it is HOT, SEXY and ADDICTING!

Who was your favorite character and why?

It is so hard to choose because I loved both Mia and Mike. They fit like jig saw puzzle pieces.. even if you had to work them a bit to figure out which way they went sometimes. Mia's voice character was spot on for how I thought Mia would sound. I loved listening to her the most. Mike's voice character was sexy and he did an excellent job.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is when City has his wreck and Mia meets Mike's family. That whole scene from beginning to end.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This is definitely a book I wanted to listen to from the beginning to end in one sitting. I hated having to turn it off and am so glad my car syncs up to my phone so I could turn it on while driving that way!

Reading This book was fantastic. Having it read to me by these two was an experience I will enjoy again and again. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the Men of Inked series in audio!

Almost couldn't finish with this female narrator

Performance: if Lee Samuals narrated the entire book it might have stood a chance. His voice is super sexy. Unfortunately he didn't.

Female narrator: Her performance as Mia was ok, a little dramatic and full of too much exaggeration, but all the other females sounded like high school snot bags.... Like omg! As for the male voices....ughhhhhh..... Michael sounded like a bored and rude Rocky(Sylvester) not sexy at all!!! Every time it was her turn to narrate I cringed. She ruined the book for me.

Story: as for those that say this is a hot read I say get your head checked. On a hotness scale of 1-10 I give this a 2. The only good thing about this book was Lee Samuals voice. The story fell way short and had 0 excitement.

Overall i say save your credit and read something by Sawyer Bennett, or MJ fields.

Unnecessary 'inner thoughts' of the characters.

so much promise but fell flat when it tried to incorporate psychological analysis of the characters.

Great narrator, great story

First I have to say this book has a lot of sex in it. The sex starts out as just sensuous but not relational. However as this story grows, so does the love between the characters. I thought the narrator was amazing and I hardly ever completely like the narrator. So that is a big bonus for me with this book. The book ends realistically, not everyone is happy. The hero and heroine live happily ever after but the heroine's brother still has many struggles ahead of him. I see a sequel to this book and am anxious to read Liam's tale.

it has what a like on a historical romance , the characters are so fun well writen and likable i cant wait for the rest of the series on audio , also loved the narration

Hot and Heavy Romantic Alpha Navy Seals

It's been awhile since I have read such a great hot, erotic romance story, but this book was way overdue for me. I am so glad I bought it, well worth the credit. I know that whenever I stay up all night to listen to a book, it's got to be good!! I love how Seth pursued Miranda in the beginning, never giving up on his quest to win her over. This book had a little bit of everything in it...male-female romance and exploration on male-male relationship, which was a real turn on reading how that got started. The only thing I can add to this is the sex scenes could be a little more smexier. The narrator, Joe Arden made this book very sensual and hot with his sexy voice. This was the first book I have heard him narrate and I WILL be looking for more books read by him. I hope all authors know that the Narrator really DOES make or break a book for most readers. This was also my first book written by Elle Kennedy and it was a great book. I am looking forward to reading more of Elle's book in the future.

Where does Getting Hotter rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

It's not in the top ten, but it does have potential. It's one of those audios I will have to listen to a couple of times. Will be buying the rest of the series.

What other book might you compare Getting Hotter to and why?

I don't like to compare books. Unless it's with another book from the same author or within the series. Since this is the first time I've listened to this author. I have nothing to compare it to.

Have you listened to any of Joe Ardens other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't believe I have ever heard Joe before. I did enjoy listening to him. He has a good voice. Very expressive. Does the female voice well. A good story teller.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The story started out a little slow for me. Have to admit, I listened to it over the course of several days.

A BEAUTIFUL LOVE GOT RUINED BY A KNOCK ON THE DOOR

It's her first day and she's no idea who this stubborn surfer looking dude is but won't back down..... and their connections made. Worth a credit? This very addictive, funny, touching, sexy, heartbreaking and hot listen told from Chloe's POV is very well narrated and is definitely worth a credit or a buy. The awesome writing style enables you to visualise each scene as it unfolds. But it does contain talk of rape and its aftermath.

I can't wait to read book two Addicted. Other reviews say book two isn't as good. I hope to not be disappointed. I fell in love with the characters. There were times when her self-doubt was a bit annoying, but then, she would recover. I get why she had it.

I liked that Ethan was a good guy. Not an angry I got my money by being a prick. It made him lovable immediately. I wish I worked at a company where food was free.

Incredible narration!

The narrator really brought this book to life and wow it was an incredible book but the emotion she put in it was just draw dropping good. The heroine is strong-willed she's determined to move on make it on her own which is exactly what I love she's also just you know got that soft spot too. Mr. Frost I think is like a closet alpha male which I absolutely love he gets his way without being overly domineering.
